strong templates and landing pages

Pros

Coming from social marketing rather than email marketing, I really appreciated the strong help section, practical tips and built-in tools. As a beginner, I was able to pick up email marketing best practices like recommended content, ideal message length and sending frequency without much trouble. One feature that has been especially useful is the scheduler which picks the best time to send emails for the strongest response. The templates are simple to work with and the landing page builder is honestly outstanding. It feels capable enough that I could almost put together a full website with it.

Cons

My biggest wish is for more functional report data exports. The built-in reports themselves are very great but I have to click through several different screens to find all the information I want. I'd really like the option to build my own internal reports for our intranet dashboard. Right now, the missing full-campaign export is a limitation I hope gets addressed in a future update.

Great integrations and quick setup

Pros

It doesn't take much effort to start and it connects with just about everything online. That broad integration support is probably the biggest advantage.

Cons

Over time though, the platform has become a little more difficult to use. They now charge for overlapping segments and push you toward using tags instead but there still isn't a easy way to add users to a tag when they sign up. Even something that should be simple, like unsubscribing a group of inactive users, ends up requiring a bunch of automation workarounds or exporting and re-importing CSV files. That's far too complicated for something that should really be standard best practice.

flexible email campaigns and insights

Pros

Getting started with it is easy and it lets you send promotional emails to users on your website or even casual page visitors. The reporting is really useful for spotting potential leads and with thousands of third-party integrations available, it feels very flexible. It also automates email campaigns well, has a very clean interface and includes some really good templates to choose from. On top of that, the free plan is a nice way to test everything before fully committing.

Cons

Premium plans are a bit expensive. It also lacks a great workflow view so I wouldn't really recommend it for more advanced, high-level functionality.

Perfect fit for wordpress sites

Pros

It connects really well with WordPress and WooCommerce and even the free plan offers plenty for small but growing e-commerce stores, blogs, or e-learning websites.

Cons

It would be better if the email options allowed more customization. Having a simpler way to create separate subscriptions would also be useful and the popup builder can be difficult for beginner WordPress users to work with.

full-featured and user-friendly tool

Pros

It manages to be full featured without feeling complicated which I really appreciate. The two-way integration with Planning Center Online is also a big plus since I don't have to keep track of contacts and lists in multiple systems.

Cons

One thing that could be better is the interface, it would be nicer if it had a cleaner, more modern design.

all mailing lists in one place

Pros

Having all my mailing lists managed in one place has been a big plus and the email tracking features work really well. There's also a paid version that includes API capabilities which can even be used for project management tasks.

Cons

The template editor doesn't feel as polished as the software's core mailing list management features. That part could definitely use some improvement.

fantastic mass mailing setup

Pros

Without a doubt, this is one of the most easy email platforms for handling any kind of mass mailing. The layout is well organized and there are helpful prompts and suggestions throughout that make the whole process easier to follow. The support documentation is also really well done, covering pretty much anything you'd likely need help with.

Cons

Free plan doesn't include any support at all. I understand that it's a free version but even limited or delayed email-only support would still be a nice option to have.

strong campaigns but frustrating account deletion

Pros

The campaigns work really well and the platform does exactly what it's meant to do.

Cons

I had an account set up to automatically feed part of my mailing list but it ended up getting deleted because I didn't log in with the same email address I originally used to create it even though I was still checking it through another admin account.

reliable performance and fair pricing

Pros

Once everything is configured, it does exactly what it's supposed to do and keeps running without any problems. We haven't run into issues after setup, it just keeps working consistently. The pricing is also very reasonable which makes getting started affordable and should scale nicely as we grow.

Cons

Getting it set up can be a bit tricky and the documentation could definitely be better.

powerful templates and campaign insights

Pros

There's a wide selection of well-optimized templates to choose from which really helps boost creativity when putting campaigns together. It also gives clear insights into how campaigns are performing making it easier to spot gaps and fine-tune things along the way.

Cons

With every new update, the interface tends to change and that can be a bit disruptive since it takes time to get used to the new layout. It also becomes somewhat expensive as your contact list gets bigger.

beautiful campaigns with convenient syncing

Pros

Designing beautiful campaigns on this platform feels really easy even without any coding knowledge. Another big plus is how well it syncs with all the other tools I already use.

Cons

I just wish creating and targeting customer segments was a bit more simple.

revenue-boosting ecommerce automation

Pros

One of the biggest strengths of the pro version is its ecommerce automation. It handles abandoned cart emails, follow-up suggestions for what customers might want to buy next and thank-you messages after an order. I've used it for several clients before and it has consistently helped increase conversions and revenue. It's a very powerful tool to have available.

Cons

Template setup can be fairly technical so I wouldn't suggest it for a beginner if you want the emails to look polished and well-designed. There's also no real workaround for birthday campaigns since WooCommerce doesn't store that information.

clean dashboard for newsletters

Pros

My first impression was how easy it was to work with. I used it at a previous job in a tiny three-person office at a nonprofit theatre company. My boss was very set in her ways for a long time and resisted updating how we handled outreach. She wasn't using social media to promote our shows and kept contacting the same schools and community groups year after year. That finally changed when a new staff member came in to handle fundraising and marketing and brought this into the mix. Before that, we were sending newsletters through the same old Outlook template which felt clunky and didn't look very appealing on the receiving end. Once we switched, the difference was obvious. The dashboard and interface were simple, polished and attention-grabbing while still looking professional. A lot of theatre organizations whose mailing lists I'm on use it too and it really feels like an industry standard.

Cons

Free plan won't let you send to more than 2,000 email addresses. That limit was fine for us since our list wasn't that large although that says something unfortunate about our reach more than the software itself. Another downside is that, like I mentioned above, it has become so standard that you start seeing the same template style everywhere. After a while it can feel a bit repetitive and if you're hoping to create something truly distinctive while sticking with the free version, you probably won't get very far.

powerful campaigns and analytics

Pros

Overall, it's a really strong system. I appreciate how flexible it is, you can use it personally for free and it also works very well for larger businesses at a great price. The campaign tools are simple to work with, very dependable and the analytics are excellent. it feels like one of the best options on the market because it gives you everything you need.

Cons

The only downside I've noticed is that it can be hard to teach yourself at the beginning. Since it comes with so many features, you need at least a bit of knowledge before you can really get started.

reliable delivery with fair pricing

Pros

I never had to worry about spam issues, IP reputation, or list size limitations because email delivery was consistently reliable. Campaigns reached nearly my entire audience and the generous free trial along with reasonable pricing made the experience even better.

Cons

It was pretty much limited to promotional use. There were no automation features available and the only segmentation option I had was creating new user fields. It also didn't integrate well with pages that weren't built using its own landing page builder. And while the emails were technically delivered, the deliverability quality still wasn't good because they kept landing in the promotions tab every time.

complete email marketing win

Pros

For me, this is one of the most simple and feature-rich email marketing platforms available. Everything from the initial setup to daily campaign management feels remarkably simple.

Cons

Getting new clients set up can be a bit time-consuming at first but once you understand how to enter all the required information, it becomes very manageable.

professional templates that deliver

Pros

When I first used it, I was able to launch a campaign within minutes. The templates helped create professional-looking emails making it a great fit for my business needs.

Cons

It's honestly hard to come up with much to complain about here. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the price, I'd like to see it made more affordable.

free for 2,000 contacts

Pros

What I appreciate most is the free allowance for up to 2,000 contacts which makes it especially attractive when you're just beginning to build an audience.

Cons

One limitation is that it doesn't offer advanced if/then sequences like some other platforms. Once your email marketing becomes more complex, you'll probably need to upgrade.
