free plan with simple setup

Pros

Ease of use is one of its biggest advantages especially with the free tier supporting up to 2,000 subscribers making it accessible for new users and small teams.

Cons

I just wish it came with a wider selection of templates.

Flexible design but pricing feels unfair

Pros

Template creation is where the platform really excels, offering strong design flexibility and a user-friendly experience that simplifies campaign building.

Cons

Paying just to store contacts didn't sit right with me, it feels like charges should apply only when emails are actually sent. I also wasn't happy that dedicated IP addresses weren't available which is ultimately why I moved over to a competitor.

Excellent integrations for starters

Pros

The free version provides great value for small businesses that need core functionality without immediate costs. Stability and integrations with social media and e-commerce tools further enhance its usefulness.

Cons

One thing that could be improved is the tracking information around what happens after email-related actions are sent since it doesn't always feel detailed enough. I also noticed that although I can't say for sure this platform was the reason, similar email lists seemed to get better open rates on other tools like Market Hero.

professional newsletters with little effort

Pros

Basic use is very easy, particularly when advanced customization isn't required. Even for educational and organizational newsletters, it remains manageable and produces professional results with a low learning curve.

Cons

The part I like least is actually fairly minor, the way groups are set up and used. I'd really like to segment a large list and quickly send to only the segments I want but that feature has never been very simple to me. Maybe it's just me but after a few years I stopped trying to make it work and started creating my own kind of "sub-group" segments so I can manage those sends more easily.

free growth and powerful automations

Pros

Free entry point helped significantly in building and growing an audience before upgrading was necessary. Automation features add strong value by enabling multi-step email sequences and integrations with tools like Thrive Leads improve workflow efficiency.

Cons

A handful of features are a bit tucked away especially some of the automation options. At times, you have to dig through the platform to locate certain tools.

Easy setup and helpful reminders

Pros

The system feels approachable for anyone with basic computer skills especially with guidance built into the interface. Occasional prompts that guide the next steps also make onboarding easier and more structured.

Cons

More advanced users may feel like the platform falls a bit short of what they need. Support on the free tier is mostly self-service and the only reason I was able to get an email response during signup was because I reached out through their billing decision tree. There's a box to describe your billing concern and I ended up using that to explain the issue I was having with signup instead.

powerful marketing add-ins

Pros

Right away, the platform feels user-friendly and approachable. It brings together a really strong mix of add-ons, including social media marketing tools and the option to sell products even without having a website. The analytics are also very detailed and useful especially when it comes to retargeting and understanding what to do next.

Cons

The part that bothers me most is the pricing setup. I really wish they would rethink the subscriber tiers because you can end up paying for subscribers who never even open your emails. I'm also not a fan of the templates since they feel a bit outdated.

reliable support over the years

Pros

Using this software has always been easy and that has been a big plus for me. Even though the marketing side feels a bit outdated now, the customer service has been excellent. I used it for years before eventually moving over to messenger marketing.

Cons

One downside is that fewer people seem to read emails these days and the open rates have dropped a lot over time.

email campaigns that look amazing

Pros

Boring emails are a thing of the past with this tool. Putting together a polished email campaign is simple thanks to the drag-and-drop builder, text blocks and image uploads. It really helps emails look far more professional and visually appealing.

Cons

This tool takes a bit of time to get comfortable with everything at the beginning but after spending some time learning the setup, it starts to feel much more manageable.

Tedious contact lists

Pros

Putting together newsletters is really easy. The platform keeps the design process simple and you can pick from different layouts depending on the type of message you want to send, like sales promotions, updates, contests, or event announcements. I also appreciate how fast the sending setup is once the project is ready. It walks you through a short checklist, such as choosing the recipients, selecting the sender email address and adding the subject line.

Cons

Managing email lists is where it gets very time-consuming and frustrating. Adding contacts one by one is a pain especially when all I need to enter is an email address and not a bunch of extra details. If you do need to include a lot of information, it can easily take a couple of hours. There is an import option for contacts but that only helps if I create the list somewhere else first which still takes just as much effort. On top of that, moving contacts from one list to another is not convenient at all. You have to manually delete them from one list and then add them all over again to the second list.

beginner-friendly tools that deliver

Pros

Getting around the panel feels very easy even if you're just starting out. There's also a free plan that gives small businesses a good place to begin. One big advantage is that emails tend to reach inboxes instead of ending up in spam which has been better than with other providers I've tried. The built-in templates and design tools are really useful for creating and customizing email campaigns and the platform automatically adjusts them for mobile screens as well. On top of that, you can schedule campaigns whenever needed and the app makes it convenient to manage everything on the go.

Cons

It does feel a bit more expensive compared with some other online platforms.

still my favorite for campaigns

Pros

Been using it since the early days and it's been impressive to watch how much it has grown since 2012. I still rely on it for my company's email marketing, mostly for newsletters and product updates. The analytics are excellent and creating designs or duplicating campaigns takes hardly any effort with just a click. Any issue I've run into has always been resolved quickly through customer support and I even get a kick out of the monkey giving a high five after sending a campaign, it's such a fun, motivating touch.

Cons

I can't think of anything negative to mention.

helpful mail campaign toolkit

Pros

Getting a mail campaign up and running with this has been really convenient and we don't have to deal with much hassle to get started. It comes with pre-installed plugins and themes which helps a lot when it comes to improving the quality and presentation of emails. The content management side is also very simple to handle. Another useful part is being able to see how clients or users are responding to the emails which helps us take a more productive approach when reaching out through campaigns.

Cons

It does a very efficient job of collecting user data but presenting that information in a user-friendly format is where it falls short. We've had a pretty difficult time identifying and pulling out the key insights we need from the data gathered through our mail campaigns.

reliable email campaigns and tracking

Pros

Their transactional email support has been really great and it works well for email campaigns. The tracking features are also very useful and give good visibility into performance.

Cons

This software used to be more affordable but costs can add up quickly for larger email campaigns. Setting up email addresses has also become more complicated now because of the newer security requirements like SPF and DKIM.

Simple drag-and-drop templates

Pros

One of the best parts is the drag-and-drop templates which make the platform approachable for just about anyone. Whether you're completely new to email marketing or already have some experience, it feels simple and user-friendly to work with.

Cons

Feature I like least is the limited styling flexibility for fonts and layouts. Most of the design options feel pretty basic and if you want to customize an existing template beyond that, you'll probably need to know some HTML.

best-value mailing powerhouse

Pros

After testing a few different email marketing platforms, this one has given me the best value by far. The interface is easy to use and setting up campaigns and autoresponders is simple which makes the whole system feel like a highly effective, enterprise-level mailing solution.

Cons

Only real limitations come from restrictions required by anti-spam regulations.

friendly interface and quick setup

Pros

Easy to use tool... Interface feels very user friendly. Setting up HTML emails is simple enough that team members with no prior experience were able to build one in about three hours. Everything is laid out clearly so there was never really a need to contact customer support.

Cons

Price is the only issue that feels a bit high. It would also be better if there were templates available to use as a reference when putting together a campaign.

powerful campaigns and polished themes

Pros

Creating multiple targeted email campaigns with this is really convenient and the results tend to be more focused for a specific audience. It includes professionally designed email themes right out of the box which is a big plus. Tracking responses is also helpful and it gives useful information about campaigns that are currently running. The scheduled forwarding feature makes things more convenient too since emails can be prepared more easily and sent to clients at preset times. On top of that, the content management tools feel dependable and much more practical to work with.

Cons

Biggest downside is that the pricing gets quite high when you need premium services for better performance. Aside from that, the platform crashes from time to time while working which means having to redo tasks all over again. The campaign results also are not displayed in a very clear or organized sequence so reviewing the full performance can sometimes turn into a real headache.

flexible templates and simple design

Pros

Creating and sending emails with this tool feels very easy for me and designing them doesn't take much effort either. The block-based editor and simple customization keep everything simple to navigate and I find the built-in templates especially useful when I need to move quickly.

Cons

It doesn't offer the same level of depth or customization as some other platforms so as your needs expand, you may eventually have to move to a different solution.
