Better automation at lower cost

Pros

It's clear they've really improved the product with the addition of automated email flows and Google remarketing. As a small startup, being able to handle more of my marketing tasks in one easy platform is a big plus.

Cons

Flow builder still isn't as advanced as some of the other providers we've worked with but switching back made sense because the price difference was substantial.

Flexible email templates

Pros

Designing a new email template is very easy and I can style it exactly the way I want before sending it to a large audience.

Cons

There are times when attaching a file to a link causes issues if the text box with that link is still selected when the email is sent. In the received email, that specific link ends up not working so you have to remember to click away from it before sending. It would also be much better if hyperlinks inside an attached PDF stayed active in the email that gets delivered but unfortunately they do not.

Campaign builder feels easy

Pros

Campaign builder is easy to work with and I really like being able to preview exactly how my emails will look before they go out.

Cons

One thing that gets frustrating is having to duplicate campaigns when I want to send them to multiple lists. I really wish there were an option to choose several lists or all of them at once, for a single campaign. Since I send weekly emails to different groups, I end up copying the same campaign 5 to 10 times.

Professional emails at good price

Pros

This is a great solution for creating professional mass emails and the pricing structure is one of its strongest advantages. I appreciate being able to use it for free until my needs grow.

Cons

Email builder interface can be a bit wonky at times, likely because of the complications that come with HTML, CSS and similar formatting. For example, fonts do not always update the way they should.

simple campaigns with strong delivery

Pros

After spending a little time with the tutorials, I found it easy to build and launch campaigns. Exporting HTML, adding videos and links and maintaining strong deliverability have all worked well for me.

Cons

Pricing model is where it gets frustrating. In my business, a lot of contacts appear on multiple lists and the system counts them as multiple users. It also bills based on your highest peak during the month instead of your average usage so uploading a batch of new subscribers at one time can cause your costs to jump dramatically. Another limitation is the lack of radius filtering from a zip code. If you only want to target people within a certain city or nearby area, you have to pull that data manually.

Better deliverability and campaigns

Pros

Email deliverability has improved significantly and customizing HTML campaigns feels much easier. I also like how contacts can be added automatically through the API and assigned to drip campaigns.

Cons

I've sent in a few feature requests along the way especially around getting better tracking of user activity connected to our website.

Beautiful emails with little effort

Pros

Every week, I send emails to hundreds of people with very little effort. Importing lists is simple, the templates look polished and creating campaigns is quick and efficient for me.

Cons

One area that wasn't very clear was team collaboration. I originally set up the account on my own and others did the same without realizing we could have just added one another as users from the start. Because of that, I ended up doing extra work to move templates and lists over to other staff members as they took over different groups. That said, I know this came down to how I set things up and the customer service team is excellent if you need help getting your team configured properly.

strong campaigns and templates

Pros

Launching an email campaign is easy, whether I'm customizing a template or building one from scratch. Features like lead scoring, Facebook integration and social data add even more value.

Cons

My biggest frustration is the Salesforce integration. It feels very limited and misses a lot of important functionality though that may also be because Salesforce tends to favor its own email product. Either way, the integration is pretty basic and leaves out a lot of needed features.

Free plan with good templates

Pros

The template selection is excellent and helps me create professional-looking emails quickly. I also appreciate the free forever plan and the built-in forms for collecting email addresses.

Cons

One downside is that the validation rules can feel a bit overly strict. For instance, if someone tries to sign up with an email address starting with "@info," they may run into issues. And while the email signup form tools are very useful, it's disappointing that there isn't an option to build landing pages as well.

Email marketing toolkit

Pros

Templates, analytics, automation tools and coding flexibility are all major strengths of this platform. I especially enjoy the autoresponders and how easily it connects with social media channels.

Cons

Sometimes, the HTML upload feature does not turn out as well as I would like. It also falls short in a few areas that other companies cover, such as surveys event management and similar extras. This really is a dedicated email marketing company and not much beyond that.

Easy setup for developers

Pros

Both as a user and from a development perspective, the platform feels very simple. The ease of integration is one of the things I value most.

Cons

Only downside for me is that it still doesn't offer a way to manage multiple clients from one interface so I have to sign in separately as each client whenever I need to help administer their accounts.

Customer outreach that works

Pros

Reaching customers and prospects is simple and the generous sending limits have been extremely helpful for me. It allows me to communicate with large groups without much hassle.

Cons

A few parts of the automation setup still aren't completely clear to me and I think that area could be simplified a bit. It's a very great tool overall but it does take some time to figure out how everything works so you can really make it work the way you want.

Modern design with strong features

Pros

Automation and segmentation features work very well and I appreciate how easily the platform syncs with other applications.

Cons

App itself feels limited in terms of features and there's no way to switch back to the free plan which I'd really want since my business isn't centered around ecommerce.

Fast bulk mailing reach

Pros

The platform comes packed with useful features and the modern interface makes everything feel approachable. I also like the integrations, reasonable pricing, ongoing improvements and excellent customer support.

Cons

One thing it still misses is some of the more advanced CRM functionality you'd get with Infusionsoft and a few other comparable platforms.

Helpful insights and support

Pros

Sending bulk emails is incredibly convenient because I can reach a large audience without worrying about traditional email provider limits. I also appreciate the compatibility across devices and the option for recipients to view messages in different formats.

Cons

Tracking down certain default settings or locating one very specific piece of information can be really frustrating because a lot of it is tucked away in secondary screens or buried inside particular workflows. Another downside is that the service can suspend or cancel your account at its own discretion which feels like a disadvantage when you're actively paying for it and they can still choose not to continue serving you. The templates are also underwhelming so if you want your emails to actually look polished and help drive sales, you'll likely need to build your own.

Free plan with control

Pros

From the beginning, the platform felt very user-friendly and even the free version offers substantial value. I particularly like the automatic list cleaning, detailed campaign analytics, helpful recommendations and responsive customer support.

Only downside is that the font selection is not very wide.

simple campaign setup

Pros

Right away, the free plan feels surprisingly capable since it includes most of the paid features for up to 2,000 subscribers and 12,000 emails per month. Upgrading for extra pro features or more subscribers is reasonably priced too. I also appreciate having full control over the design and messaging throughout the email capture process and it's convenient to assign or transfer admin access so someone else can step in and manage or support the email marketing work. There are definitely more advanced platforms out there but they cost a lot more and this one does the job really well.

Cons

Getting everything set up and customized isn't especially simple so you need at least some basic email marketing knowledge to even know what to look up in the knowledge base or online documentation.

Good for integrations and automation

Pros

The step-by-step workflow for building an email campaign is something I really appreciate especially with the option to test everything before it actually goes out. That structured process makes it much easier to launch a successful newsletter with confidence.

Cons

One thing I'd love to see improved is how embedded background images display in Outlook since right now you have to click the link to view the message in a browser. Those embedded images look fantastic and give campaigns a much more polished, professional feel.

Targeting has some limits

Pros

Getting started with it was easy and it connects with just about every online service my company relies on, our web host, G Suite, form system and plenty more, which has been fantastic and works really well. The API is clean and simple too so moving and syncing customer data between different services is easy. On top of that, the campaign analytics are genuinely useful and the newer automation features are a big help especially for sending follow-up emails after purchases or abandoned carts.

Cons

My biggest issues are the pricing and the flagging system. If you're running a very small business, the pricing is actually quite reasonable but once our customer database expanded, the cost jumped dramatically. I really wish there were a way to lower the bill by removing features we don't use but the pricing is locked into strict tiers so it's all or nothing. Even with the higher cost, my company was still happy to keep using the platform, until our account was flagged because of 3 false reports. From what we were able to figure out, it looked like a competitor had their employees subscribe to our mailing list, likely to monitor our sales for market research which would have been one thing, except those accounts then marked one of our newsletters as spam and our account was immediately suspended. After MONTHS of paying for the service without any problems, having the account shut down instantly without anyone contacting us first felt completely unacceptable. The automated process they made us go through was ridiculous and once we completed it, the response time still took DAYS, days we were still being charged for even though the account was suspended. About two weeks later, we finally got reactivated but our request to speak with an actual team member was ignored. It felt like they treated us as guilty until proven innocent which might make more sense if we didn't already have a spotless history with them. We had spent over a year running 100% compliant email campaigns through their service and the way we were handled felt deeply unfair. And now I'm left wondering what happens if that same competitor falsely reports us again and we end up paying for time we can't even use. Because of that, I'm actively looking into other providers especially ones where real people step in before taking extreme actions like suspending an account.

Reports that deliver

Pros

It gives you a clear view of where your information is going, who is opening your emails and other helpful tracking details. That makes it useful when you're trying to target different markets more effectively.

Cons

The app feels like it has a rule for everything. You can't send to your entire list at one time and have to pick specific groups instead and it also feels like you're being judged when people don't open your emails.
