reliable delivery and integrations

Pros

It connects well with a wide range of applications which makes it really useful. Email delivery has also been dependable and messages hardly ever get blocked.

Cons

Customer Journeys in it are a must-have feature but they arrived pretty late compared to the market. Even now, they still don't offer the depth of functionality or the level of reporting I'd expect from an established company like it.

versatile campaign builder

Pros

Having everything in one place to build my campaigns has been really useful. There are lots of different ways to trigger a campaign or email and being able to create templates means I don't have to start from scratch every time. I also appreciate that I can put together a simple landing page for my challenges and courses.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is the option to trigger an email or campaign based on a fixed date.

fantastic interface for campaigns

Pros

This software has been the most user-friendly email marketing platform I've worked with. I've used it a lot for email campaigns and it lets me send bulk emails to targeted leads without any hassle. Editing emails is quick and scheduling them regularly is just as convenient. It's also very easy to understand how to send campaigns to regular clients and stay connected with them over time. The interface is fantastic and makes the whole process feel very manageable.

Cons

I haven't run into any actual issues while using it. The only downside is that the subscription plans are a bit more expensive than some other options. It would be much better if the pricing were reduced.

useful editor but paid scheduling

Pros

Building designs and emails feels pretty simple and the advanced feature that lets you split an email template and insert content is really helpful.

Cons

Scheduling isn't included for free and that was a dealbreaker for me. Because of that, I switched to Sendinblue which offers free scheduling.

helpful newsletter tracking

Pros

Keeping up with everyone who signs up for my blog newsletter has been much easier with it. Whenever I post new content, it helps me stay on top of subscriber emails and it has also been useful for managing and organizing those contacts into different categories for different purposes.

Cons

The service they provide is definitely very good but I honestly think the user interface still needs some improvement.

flexible templates and subject tools

Pros

The WYSIWYG editor has been a big plus for us especially because setting up and customizing templates is simple and there's also plenty of flexibility if you want to fine-tune things with HTML and CSS. The features for building more engaging subject lines are also a really nice touch.

Cons

One thing that can feel a bit confusing is the pricing structure since the monthly cost can start to seem overwhelming when you're running a lot of email campaigns.

Great for repeat email sends

Pros

It has been really simple to work with and it's especially useful when I need to send multiple emails without rebuilding everything from scratch each time I'm reaching out to a mailing list.

Cons

Adding graphics can be a bit frustrating and linking videos hasn't always gone perfectly either. I've run into a problem before where a video didn't hyperlink the way it should. I'm still not sure whether that came from the video platform itself or from it.

flexible campaigns and automation

Pros

Our Marketing and HR teams rely on it quite a bit. They use it regularly to send emails asking for feedback on different initiatives and plans. Setting up campaigns is pretty easy since no coding is needed and there are plenty of templates available for different campaign types. The platform also lets us see which recipients opened and read the emails and it keeps a full record of past correspondence. We also use it to send online invitations for training sessions and group seminars so people can check their availability and add them to their calendars. The personalized content options and workflow automation usually help us run campaigns faster and more efficiently.

Cons

Once you begin uploading images into the account, finding the exact files you need can become frustrating very quickly. Keeping the image library organized takes a lot of time because you often have to delete files or rearrange them manually. Also, with so many design and formatting settings to manage, it's pretty easy to miss a detail while building an email or template. When that happens, the final result can end up looking different from what you expected.

Perfect pick for email beginners

Pros

Getting started with it is easy especially if you're new to email marketing and it includes the tools a business needs to get going.

Cons

Since we do a lot of work with ecommerce brands, we'd probably choose a different platform for those types of companies.

integration problems waste time!!

Pros

In my opinion it seemed like it was supposed to be an all-in-one marketing platform where I could connect my website sales, newsletter and QuickBooks in one place. That kind of simple, effective setup is exactly what I wanted. Instead, the integrations have been full of problems. Every time I try to import contacts, I get an error code and then I'm locked out of it for an hour. That's an hour of work I lose every single time. Overall, the software makes a lot of promises it just hasn't lived up to since Intuit took it over.

Cons

Every single contact import throws an error code. If it happened once, I'd assume the issue was on my end but when it happens every time, it really feels like a bug on their side. I don't have hours to sit around waiting for them to clear the kernel so I can get back to running my business.

budget-friendly email favorite

Pros

Transactional Email makes creating and sending email campaigns pretty easy. The interface is user-friendly and the integration process is simple which makes it one of the most accessible email tools I've used. It is also one of the most widely used platforms especially among small business owners working with limited budgets. Because of that, it's rare to run into a client or platform that has trouble connecting with it. Another big advantage is that you can start using it for free when your subscriber list is still very small or just starting out.

Cons

Like most software, it Transactional Email still has a few weak spots. The interface could be made a little more simple and more enjoyable to work with. Also, adding it into a sales funnel setup should be more convenient since I often end up frustrated trying to determine exactly where the code needs to go. On top of that, the tracking accuracy is something that could definitely be improved.

versatile templates and API options

Pros

Tracking how well sales and marketing campaigns perform works nicely here. It comes with a great selection of starter templates and the free trial/freemium version is a welcome bonus. The drag-and-drop editor feels simple and enjoyable to use, color customization is available and the API library is quite extensive.

Cons

One limitation is that newsletters do not currently support video media assets. The connected funnels could also be made more user-friendly. It would help to have a free or essentials plan with more seats for training team members. The "go" buttons should be moved so they direct users to the dashboard instead of the footer and when building campaigns, adding page-level diagram logic would make the workflow better.

modern interface and powerful insights

Pros

Right away, it feels modern and very user-friendly and honestly that is its biggest advantage compared with similar tools. Most platforms like this are used by people who are not very technical and simply want to handle marketing without bringing in designers or developers. it makes campaign management easy and its email templates cover most common needs really well. If you are a more advanced user or need something more customized, you can also upload your own template or work directly with HTML to build the layout you want and put together a successful campaign. The tracking and analytics are also excellent, with all the features you need to measure and follow your campaign performance.

Cons

A few basic features are missing when you try to create your own email template. That makes it harder to build a fully unique email design unless you switch to HTML and not every user will know even basic HTML. Responsiveness is also a major issue I have noticed in it campaigns. They may look fine on desktop but on mobile and other devices the layouts are often not accurate enough and do not feel properly responsive.

Transformed our newsletters...

Pros

Back when we started searching for mass-mailing software around 8 years ago, there were barely any real cloud-based options. A lot of the tools at the time were sending hundreds of emails through our home or small-business connection. On top of the fairly underwhelming features those programs offered, it also wasn't ideal relying on an IP address we didn't have much control over then even though that matters less now since we've moved to an enterprise-grade static fibre line. Before switching to it, we had to use one program to build the newsletter and then paste the static HTML into another sending tool for bulk delivery. That setup was clunky and left plenty of room for improvement. it was one of the first platforms we came across that really simplified the whole process which let us send personalised emails while taking a huge amount of work off our side.

Cons

Honestly, I have very few complaints about it. Most of the issues I've run into have been related to integrations and in those cases the problem has usually been with the third-party service rather than it itself. Every now and then I've had a bit of trouble with the web editor but its auto-save feature and overall reliability have easily outweighed those occasional hiccups.

fast setup and reliable delivery

Pros

Launching large email campaigns with it is very easy. In just a few clicks, you can already be sending emails at scale. The free plan is really great for beginners and the pricing stays affordable as your business needs grow. On top of that, emails consistently arrive the way they should across all devices.

Cons

Like many similar platforms, it includes a lot of features that are not immediately obvious. It would be much better if they provided clearer guidance and better explanations of everything available because right now you have to spend quite a bit of time digging around to discover those useful extra features and actually take advantage of them.

flexible subscriptions for wordpress

Pros

Setting up this product was easy and integrating it with my WordPress website didn't give me any trouble. The free subscription is a nice way to test things out and see how convenient the platform is before moving to a paid plan for more advanced features.

Cons

A few of the drag-and-drop templates can be a bit frustrating to work with and there are times when emails end up being sent to everyone.

powerful templates and reporting

Pros

Using the platform feels very easy and the template customization options and reporting features are both really strong. It's also useful that it includes APIs and can sync with other solutions.

Cons

Handling bounced email addresses comes with quite a steep learning curve. On top of that, free accounts don't offer any real support beyond the forums which is frustrating. Another issue with the free tier is that it only allows one admin user, creating a single point of failure for organizations. I understand the need to keep some features behind a paid plan to encourage upgrades but these are basic requirements for any organization, regardless of payment tier.

better email marketing reach

Pros

Creating and managing marketing emails was very easy especially with the ability to build and maintain custom mailing lists. It helped us stay connected with our customers more effectively and that had a positive impact on our product sales.

Cons

I still miss the native WordPress integration. Since a lot of our articles and products are already stored on WordPress sites, having that built in would save us from constantly copying and pasting content into newsletters. A native drag-and-drop option to pull in articles or products and build a newsletter in just a few minutes would be a big improvement.

user-friendly campaigns that deliver

Pros

Plenty of tools feel confusing but this has been one of the few that actually feels efficient and easy to work with. The interface is very user-friendly, simple to navigate and that makes creating marketing messages feel natural and uncomplicated.

Cons

One issue I've noticed is that certain elements shown in preview mode don't always match how they appear on a mobile device after the email is actually sent.
