Pros
It is really effective when it comes to organizing and sharing files. It helps keep everything in order and makes it easy to share documents with others, especially within teams or projects.

I think Oracle Aconex is great for working together on architectural projects. It has solid documentation features and I really like the compliance management tool.
Cons
I find the platform makes management easy and accessing features is easy. From my perspective, there's nothing to be dissatisfied with when it comes to Oracle Aconex.

“Document management Pro!
Pros
I think the document management feature that lets me save DWGs with PDFs is a big help.
Cons
The layout feels clunky and not very simple. It often requires me to search carefully to find what I'm looking for.

“Fast and easy document access
Pros
Aconex has been great so far. It gives easy access to documentation and offers excellent support. It also provides a clear process flow for project delivery, making it easy for project teams to follow. The email interface is simple for everyone to understand and if you know how to use email, you’ll find Aconex easy to use.
Cons
I think the pricing of the software can be on the higher side. Right now, searches are still quite basic and the BIM viewer tab could be improved. It would be great if there was a full-featured BIM viewer that could recognize RVT and Bentley 3D files without needing to convert them to IFCs.

“Best tool for managing projects
Pros
It is an amazing tool for collaboration, making workflow, document and communication management much easier.
Cons
Comprehensive field reports are really helpful, especially when they cover the benefits and drawbacks related to usability, value and customer care. They give a clear picture of what works well and where there might be room for improvement.

“Quick and responsive support
Pros
Aconex offers a global platform that lets numerous users collaborate easily. I can easily add new files to the system and I never have to worry about losing any correspondence since all mail is stored in the Mail module and can't be deleted. Plus, there's no file size limit.
Cons
I've found it a bit problematic having to use the pre-loaded mail form titles that Aconex provides. When working on the backend of the system, where changes might be needed, the complexities of the software can sometimes cause confusion.

“Solid software with some limitations
Pros
This evaluation is actually based on the initial phases of configuration and implementation. We are still working to put together a structure that is flexible for us, the contractors, and how we collaborate, given our current situation. But as of right now, all of our problems have been resolved, thankfully.
Cons
There are some major issues that really need to be addressed. This software isn't suitable for overall program management, and it doesn't offer a way to monitor action items, finance or change management, among other things. One of the biggest challenges is that its structure isn't based on folders.

“Leading tool for document control
Pros
I really appreciate how Aconex fits well with my existing policies and procedures. It doesn't force me to follow a set method and it doesn't need much configuration when I first start using it. Another thing I like is how often it introduces new, helpful features.
Cons
Not a con, but it would be wonderful to have better controls. Also, it uses the status of the previous version for the new version. If you fail to choose a new status, the draft of the next revision of the document can appear in the document register as authorized.

“All-in-one project management tools
Pros
It is really helpful for construction projects, offering a single platform to manage tasks and project documents efficiently. The direct link to Primavera makes it easy to view schedules and discuss updates with coworkers. The platform also simplifies procedures and helps ensure quick approvals for different protocols.
Cons
One of the most frustrating aspects of working in a team is the need to teach every new member as not everyone can quickly learn to work effectively.
