One place for all product outputs

Pros

I find a little tricky to find the roadmap once it's created, but it's not impossible.

Cons

I love how everything related to the product is all in one place whether it's for internal use or something we share externally.

Good support but APIs could expand

Pros

The customization options especially with the Enterprise+ plan and the APIs available, really let me do anything I need. Plus, the support team is always quick to respond and their solutions always fix the issue.

Cons

Sometimes, some APIs could use a bit more expansion but they are always improving and I usually get what I need pretty quickly.

Impressive features but pricey

Pros

As a software developer, I've been following Aha!'s growth for a few years now. I've always been impressed by how they approach product development especially in the beginning. Their focus on product discovery is spot on and the way it integrates with tools like JIRA is just perfect for product teams. One of the things I love is how easy it is to generate presentations and reports directly from project data without any difficulty. Overall Aha! is a well thought out tool that I continue to find impressive with its various features and design.

Cons

Although I noticed that it offers a lot of great features for managing products strategically but the pricing can be a bit too much for individuals or smaller teams like ours.

Easy setup with amazing support

Pros

The support is amazing and I'm really impressed with the Ideas portal. It was so easy to set up and deploy.

Cons

I haven't found any issues so far. We imported users, sent out emails and the client got engaged with the help we offered.

Flexible tool with great support

Pros

Aha! is really flexible and lets organizations customize it to suit their specific needs which is a big plus. It has a lot of different tools to complete all of your requirements for product planning, documentation, creating roadmaps, gathering customer feedback and more. Their support team is great too, they're really quick and always helpful.

Cons

I've used it at several companies and while it gets the job done, the overall look and feel could use some updates. It feels a bit outdated especially when it comes to the roadmaps, which are a key part of what we present to stakeholders. Also, there's so much customization which can make it a bit tricky at times. This can lead to some awkward experiences for both new and experienced users.

Smooth experience with a slight learning curve

Pros

For me, it's super easy to get the hang of and there's so much you can customize. The idea linking feature is really handy and I love how it makes things smoother.

Cons

The learning curve is a little steep and you might need to adjust the way you manage your portfolio to fit into Aha!'s way of doing things. It takes a bit of getting used to but once you do it makes more sense.

Various features but a learning curve

Pros

There are tons of features I noticed and the support team is pretty quick to respond whenever I need help.

Cons

It can be tough to learn at first so I'd recommend going for the Enterprise Plus plan if you can. That way you get the concierge's help to make things easier.

Comprehensive tool with clear support

Pros

Honestly it feels like Aha! has thought of everything. The platform has so many features to help us with planning, delivering, and communicating product releases. There's a lot of content we go through, so it's not always easy to learn but their demos, KB articles, how to videos and live training sessions make everything super clear. I don't know why any product manager wouldn't want to use this.

Cons

Sometimes I feel like there's so much that's possible in Aha! that it's easy to get lost. Some simple things can be tough to figure out just because you didn't realize there was one small setting activated. But when I needed help the articles are always clear and the support team responds almost instantly.

Easy to use but roadmaps are expensive

Pros

This software is really powerful and the learning curve is almost nothing compared to Jira. It's so much easier to use and have advanced capabilities. I especially love how easy it is to share information with people who don't use the tool without having to update spreadsheets or slide decks manually.

Cons

The pricing for roadmaps can feel a bit high but the develop version is affordable enough to make up for it.

Highly customizable but UI could improve

Pros

I find the best thing about Aha! is how flexible it is. The level of customization is amazing though it can be risky if you don't manage it well. But if your company's processes are always evolving, Aha! allows you to meet all sorts of different needs and requests.

Cons

UI can be inconsistent at times. A lot of features are behind a paywall and it feels like I'm constantly being upsold, even though I'm not on a freemium plan. Some features like text editing are a bit clunky and unreliable, and navigation could definitely be smoother.

Great customer support

Pros

Even though we didn't go forward with Aha! for our solution, I have to say their customer support and product teams were fantastic. They were really supportive and helpful throughout the process and very gracious in meetings. We ended up choosing another solution because of our specific needs but it had nothing to do with Aha!'s functionality or support.

Cons

There are certain features and ideas that we were really hoping for but they're just not there yet.

Customizable with complex integration

Pros

The customization options in Aha! are a huge win for power users. If I can imagine it I can probably make it happen. And when I can't figure it out their team is always ready to help. It is always working hard to improve too. The ideas portal is really active and they continuously add new features from time to time.

Cons

I tried to integrate it with other tools and it was complicated or some tools are missing integrations altogether. For example Jira integration is essential for my team but it doesn't always have the features we need. It'd be great to see better integration with tools like Slack, LucidSpark and PowerPoint. I know Aha! is working on its own tools for these but they're still not mature enough to make the switch just yet.

Pros

Full of different features

Pros

There's so much that Aha! can do, it has various features and capabilities. Also you can customize what you see and as you get the hang of it, you keep discovering new ways to use it. Their support is incredible too.

Cons

There are so many features and customization options available. It's not really a negative but you have to think carefully about how you want to use it. I'm starting with only a few of the features and capabilities as we begin using the software, but I plan to explore and add more options as we continue to roll it out

Convenient organization

Pros

I used plenty of options for customizing initiatives and reports, which makes it easy to keep everything organized.

Cons

I faced an issue using pivot tables, they need to be refreshed twice to show changes and if there's a network disruption any data entered can get lost.

Pros

It's great for organizing new ideas for us and features roadmaps. It's helped us align as a company when it comes to software requests and building out deployment timelines.

Cons

Powerful planning tool

Pros

Aha! ideas gives us flexibility, security and automation. It's helped us scale how we interact with our customers all in a way that fits our business. Aha! Roadmaps+ has been an awesome tool for product planning and the integration with Jira works really well. They also keep updating both products with new features and check in regularly to make sure everything's going smoothly.

Cons

Seat-based licensing model is stopping me from fully adopting Aha Roadmaps as our main planning tool. We'd need to give paid seats to program managers, engineering managers and designers. Plus, it's a bit confusing for new users and we've had to create detailed internal documentation to help onboard new product managers. On top of that, we've been asking for a SOC2 report for years but Aha! hasn't been willing to provide one yet. ISO27001 just isn't the same thing.

Impressive flexibility

Pros

I was really impressed with how flexible and feature packed the platform is. It's clear that a lot of consideration has been put into Aha! over the years and it's amazing how many different configurations it can support.

Cons

It's easy to get lost when navigating between different workspaces or roadmaps. You really have to pay close attention to where you are so you don't get mixed up and end up looking at the wrong thing.

Efficient Roadmaps with Aha!

Pros

It's easy to use and the design is thoughtful for me. I can manage my backlog of ideas then push them onto a roadmap and then send them off to Jira for execution. It makes things so much more efficient.

Cons

Aha! seems to be shifting towards a more self-service model unless you're on the Enterprise+ plan and have a certain number of seats. It's a bit disappointing not to get the same level of service as in the past but apparently, they're going for a �lean� service model now, i got this idea after discussing with their customer success department.
