Excellent for vendor collaboration

Pros

For our foundation, we've found Asana to be an excellent platform for collaborating with our digital vendor because it makes it simple to monitor task progress, delegate assignments to teammates and stay aware of upcoming deadlines, plus the email alerts keep us informed about task updates in real time.

Cons

I've been using Asana for a couple of years now and the main frustration I've come across is receiving duplicate email notifications for the same updates so we still need to figure out how to reduce or consolidate them to avoid inbox clutter.

Worth the price and simple

Pros

For my money, I find Asana to be genuinely worth the price since it's very affordable, it's simple to navigate and the dashboard includes useful features like drag-and-drop which makes keeping tabs on my projects really easy.

Cons

We've had Asana running smoothly with our workflows for quite some time now and I personally haven't come across any notable problems or negatives while using it.

Clear visual layout and top tools

Pros

What I love most is the clear visual project layout and simple interface because it makes it effortless to glance and understand what everyone on my team is doing, with multiple views, list, board, timeline and calendar, I can easily switch perspectives to track progress and keep things organized. The collaboration tools are top-notch since commenting on tasks, tagging teammates and attaching files centralizes our work and the way it hooks into Gmail, Google Drive and Slack has personally saved me a ton of time.

Cons

That said, I've found the learning curve can be fairly steep because several features aren't immediately obvious and require time to get comfortable with and when our team grew the cost ramped up quickly which became a real budget consideration, email notifications also flooded my inbox until I spent time fine-tuning the settings and the mobile app still falls short of the web experience, for example I can't copy tasks between projects on my phone.

Excellent integrations and easy to use

Pros

For me Asana offers excellent integrations and I personally think it's really easy to use while also including a wide range of extra features that genuinely help me keep my work organized.

Cons

I find Asana's workflows somewhat complicated while it's a solid tool Overall I believe it could be noticeably improved if the developers simplified the experience to be more welcoming to beginners.

simple to use

Pros

What I love most about Asana is how simplely simple it is to use so that even complex project workflows feel simple and manageable, the support team replies quickly when I need help and keeping track of tasks and progress is remarkably effortless.

Cons

We've had a very positive experience with Asana overall and to be frank, there isn't anything negative that comes to mind about its performance or reliability, it's been functioning really well for our team.

easssyy for team collaboration

Pros

Using Asana made collaborating with my teammates simple and let me easily track progress across projects which helped me stay focused and clearly see the tasks required to push things forward particularly when our team was remote.

Cons

I noticed that Asana's value was directly tied to the quality and frequency of what we entered so whenever my colleagues failed to log updates or keep tasks current, I found the tool much less useful for managing our work.

Excellent for intricate projects

Pros

For our team, Asana has proven to be an excellent option when we need a highly structured, customisable platform to oversee intricate projects and interdependent workflows although newcomers sometimes face a modest learning curve, we consistently appreciate its adaptability alongside the powerful suite of tracking, reporting and automation features which together make it an exceptionally effective tool for managing complex work.

Cons

I do acknowledge there is a noticeable learning curve for those joining the team but in our experience we address that proactively by implementing a well-defined training programme that helps new starters get up to speed efficiently.

Boosted productivity with appealing UI

Pros

Working alongside my teammates at a brisk pace helped me boost productivity rapidly and I also found the interface to be noticeably more visually appealing than other comparable programs that offer the same services.

Cons

I feel that adding a built-in video feature or some way for us to huddle with team members, similar to Slack, Zoom or Google Meet, would let us align with core stakeholders much faster.

Approachable interface and great integrations

Pros

What I really like about Asana is how approachable the interface feels from day one and how smoothly it ties into other tools I rely on such as Slack and Outlook which makes coordinating work across apps much less painful, one standout capability for me is the way it models portfolios, projects, tasks and subtasks visually, giving you both a clear graphical presentation and multihoming options that are especially handy when you're working across several teams at scale. Coming from an Excel-heavy background, that way of organizing things felt like a revelation and we now lean on Asana for everything from work planning to vendor oversight and general project management. I dug into the platform about a year ago and, after getting comfortable with it, recently accepted the role of Asana ambassador.

Cons

I've found that the only real drawback is the learning curve around the more advanced functionality because some of those features aren't instantly obvious and you often need to spend time experimenting or reading documentation before you can use them confidently and efficiently.

Quick support and reasonable pricing

Pros

What I really appreciate is how quickly customer support responds to queries and because the interface is simple and simple to pick up, I was able to get my whole team using it fast, on top of that, the pricing is refreshingly reasonable which makes it an easy choice for us.

Cons

Personally I've found Asana to be the best option we've tried since I rarely come across any problems while using it and our organization has depended on it consistently for over three years which speaks to its reliability for our workflow.

Tracked every requirement

Pros

When our manufacturing floor was being reconfigured, I was able to use the tool to track every requirement and change and because it supported all departments across the company, I found it simple for teams in every part of the business to pick up and use.

Cons

Honestly we didn't have any complaints about the software itself, aside from needing more staff to manage the workload, it performed exceptionally well, supporting every function on the plant floor and giving us visibility into all areas.

Pros

I'm really pleased that the interface is so clean and everything is explained clearly so I always know which functions to use, it also lets our team set up different ways to sort and balance the work volume, helping us manage tasks more effectively.

I can't find any instance where Asana failed to offer a superior environment for collaborating effectively and when our team uses it I genuinely appreciate the experience because it supports teamwork smoothly.

Simple layout great for ADHD

Pros

One of the things I appreciate about Asana is its simple layout and how effortless it is to use. Living with ADHD, I value the variety of project and task views that keep me focused and engaged. Also, as a solopreneur I find Asana's free tier to be the strongest for managing projects and tasks.

Cons

There aren't many negatives For me but since I'm highly visually oriented I'd like the ability to attach images directly to my projects within the app.

Great for assigning tasks

Pros

Being able to assign tasks to team members is incredibly helpful because it allows me to drive a project through its various stages until it reaches completion.

Cons

I'm still not aware of any built-in function that would let me assign priority levels across all of my tasks at once though it's possible such an option exists somewhere and I just haven't found it yet.

Separate boards for each project

Pros

What I appreciate is that my team can set up separate boards for each project so I can easily see who's handling which tasks and their deadlines and I value the multiple timeline and alternative view options that help me follow progress.

Cons

That said, I found the interface somewhat uninspiring visually which while not a deal-breaker, led me to rely on it a bit less than I would tools like monday.com, on top of that, I wasn't thrilled with the integration choices or how notifications are handled.
