confusing ticket submission flow

Pros

Being able to reply straight from email instead of logging into the site is a nice touch and it also helps that tasks can be assigned to a specific person very quickly.

Cons

Submitting new tickets in the correct place is far too confusing and overly complicated. After you finally figure out where the ticket is supposed to go, adding the rest of the details is fairly easy.

Quick to learn

Pros

The interface is user friendly and it didn't take long at all to get comfortable using it.

Cons

One thing that can be frustrating is that when a project is shared with the team, every update gets sent out to everyone. That means even a small mistake can end up reaching the whole team.

Perfect for staying organized

Pros

Asana has been really good to use and I genuinely like it. It works perfectly for what I need so I am very happy with it.

Cons

The system is very lightweight but overall it's still good. Thank you.

great !!

Pros

This product is simple to use and keep up with. As a project management tool, it performs exceptionally well so if project management is all you need, it's a very good choice.

Cons

It did not feel very versatile. It's built for one specific purpose and it does that fine but I needed more of an all-in-one app instead of juggling five specialized tools and all the extra follow-up that comes with that.

HR workflows done right

Pros

Right from the first login, this stood out to me as an HR manager for one simple but really important reason and that is it comes with built-in guides and tutorials made specifically for HR managers and recruiters. Seeing how other HR teams use it helped me adopt the same workflow myself. It makes every project and task simple to manage and keep track of through notifications so I don't have to worry about missing interviews or deadlines. I also really like the clean, minimal design which is definitely another plus.

Cons

The biggest downside is that it can get expensive for larger companies with a lot of users. Other than that, I don't have many complaints. One challenge is that it's not very widely used among my colleagues and that can make collaboration and project sharing a bit harder.

Highly customizable

Pros

Just getting started with it and one thing is immediately clear which is there's a huge amount you can do. It offers lots of options, is highly customizable and lets you build and manage tasks, workflows, processes and more. Overall it's really impressive.

Cons

Coming in as a new user at an established client company, I missed the original training from when the platform was first rolled out. Because of that, it's been quite hard to understand all the features and figure out how to use everything properly.

goal tracking that delivers

Pros

Being able to set company and team goals in Asana and keep an eye on progress across the whole department has been really valuable.

Cons

Sorting goals and moving in and out of them still seems a bit confusing instead of hassle free.

centralized task ownership wins

Pros

One thing that really works well in Asana is being able to assign every task to a specific person. You can set up a project, break it down into smaller tasks, give each one a deadline or time frame and clearly define who is responsible for it. Team members can mark their own tasks as completed or the project manager can update them instead. That creates a centralized view of the whole project and makes it much clearer to see overall progress and how much is still left to finish.

Cons

Some tasks need more detail or additional layers to reflect real-life work accurately. When processes get very complex, the structure can feel a bit too simplified in terms of depth. It would be better if there were more levels available for handling unlimited or more deeply nested processes.

Powerful task management features

Pros

Among the task management tools out there, this one has easily been the strongest option for us. We also use HubSpot which includes task management but we still decided to keep using Asana because the feature set is much broader. A big part of both our internal workflows and external operations is organized through it and we rely on it heavily to keep task execution on track.

Cons

At the moment we're using the free plan since the paid version is just too expensive for us.

Top team collaboration that delivers

Pros

Working with teammates on shared projects has been really useful and it helps a lot with our weekly meetings since every manager can view their own section clearly. The task reminders are also very helpful for keeping everything on track.

Cons

Recurring tasks could use some attention. We've run into a few duplicate entries where the same task ends up showing up again on a different date.

My tasks replaced paper lists

Pros

Most of my time in Asana is spent in the My Tasks section and being able to link tasks to projects and adjust deadlines quickly has been really useful. I used to depend on handwritten to-do lists for years but this has completely taken their place for me.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is that you still cannot assign the same task to multiple people without making duplicate tasks which feels like a pretty basic feature to be missing.

better for bigger teams

Pros

Working alongside developers who already relied on Asana, I quickly noticed just how feature-rich it is for project management, progress tracking and team communication. It offers far more options than other tools I have used before. It feels especially well suited to larger projects or teams with a lot of collaboration going on. If you need something more advanced, that depth is definitely a big advantage.

Cons

At the same time it felt a bit overwhelming when I first started using it and it took me quite a while to adjust to how everything is set up and organized. There's definitely a learning curve and that's ultimately why I chose a different tool for my smaller projects since I wanted something I could start using right away.

Fantastic team project organization

Pros

Keeping projects organized across different teams is where it really shines. It gives a lot of flexibility especially when the same task needs to sit in multiple projects at once. Assigning work is easy and it helps create clear accountability so tasks actually get completed. The interface is also user friendly so it doesn't take much effort to get used to. It also integrates with a lot of other apps which is really helpful and being able to turn emails directly into tasks saves time. On top of that it's quick to use and tasks sync across devices without any hassle.

Cons

One thing I am still waiting for is dark mode on Chrome web and the mobile app. It would make a big difference especially in the evenings when the bright screen can be hard on the eyes and makes it tougher to stay focused.

Helpful for remote team alignment

Pros

Working remotely, this software was pretty effective for keeping everyone aligned and making sure tasks were getting done. It's decent for managing my own assignments too although I still preferred using my own system or even a basic to-do list. The project-building feature is a nice addition.

Cons

At the same time it seems very overcomplicated and not especially easy to use. Our project manager kept having to run long training sessions and honestly they often made things even more confusing. A lot of the features and workarounds are difficult to put into practice and they only really work if everyone is fully on the same page. Searching is also frustrating as I regularly cannot find what I need. Once a task is finished, tracking it down again is surprisingly difficult especially when assets were attached. The inbox can also bury assigned tasks so they're easy to miss. There's definitely potential to build out some impressive workflows but it takes a lot of time and I often end up spending more time setting up the project or task than actually completing the work. It becomes overly complicated and inefficient too easily and I think it would be much better if it were simpler.

Familiar layout, quick to learn

Pros

It is a lot like other familiar tools which makes it simple to understand right away and quick to start using without much effort.

Cons

Well a few features still have bugs and can be laggy. There are also so many options that it can get confusing trying to figure out which ones I should actually use.

Versatile teamwork features

Pros

Working with other people on this platform is excellent. The collaboration tools and ability to ping teammates make communication really effective and the overall functionality is broad enough to support different teams and workflows.

Cons

Getting started with it can be a bit challenging since it's not the most user friendly software at first. I personally needed a Zoom walkthrough from a colleague to understand how to use it properly and some competing tools are definitely easier to navigate. That said the learning curve probably comes from how much functionality it offers.

easy planning

Pros

Creating project plans and reusable templates in it is really simple. The interface is clean and user friendly so it doesn't take long to move around the platform and quickly find the features you need.

Cons

One thing that could be improved is the Gantt chart view for project plans. Right now, it feels sluggish and the interface isn't as practical as it should be for interacting with and editing plans efficiently from that view.

Reliable team scheduling

Pros

Asana has been the best tool for managing our team and keeping projects and tasks organized. We use it to plan out daily work and activities and the scheduling feature lets us map things out for up to a week at a time. The task reminders are also very dependable and have never let us down.

Cons

The premium plan feels pretty expensive especially since it doesn't offer many extra features or tools compared with the free version. It seems like most of what you're paying for is the removal of free plan limits rather than meaningful differences in functionality.

all projects in one place

Pros

Keeping our projects organized with Asana has been really helpful. At a glance, I can tell exactly what I should be working on, see what everyone else is handling and keep all the project details together in one place.

Cons

A handful of features still feel missing for what we need, like automating subtask assignments and having more custom filter options. Some of that may exist in a higher-tier plan but the pricing for those upgrades doesn't really fit our budget.
