“Helpful tools for team productivity”

Pros

Asana comes with a lot of useful tools that really help keep work productive. My favorite part is being able to assign subtasks to different people and keep communication clear when something gets completed.

Cons

One limitation is that you cannot make two people jointly responsible for the same task.

“The best of the bests!”

Pros

Asana is without a doubt one of the most important project management solutions on the market. I like that you can not only create projects but can also set deadlines with Asana. This ensures the smooth running of our team.

“Remote onboarding made better”

Pros

Across our organization it keeps everyone aligned and connected so nothing falls through the cracks and teams stay moving within the same workflows. One of the biggest unexpected wins has been how well it has improved new employee onboarding especially with everyone working remotely. We set up a Project and add all the different Tasks a new hire needs to complete and each task includes the necessary information along with relevant due dates. That makes it simple for me to monitor their progress and respond to quick questions efficiently as they come up. Being able to duplicate the Project for the next team member including any updates or changes we've made, is probably the best part.

Cons

Adopting change is never simple and like any new tool or system, it does take a little time to get used to. At the beginning I didn't really have enough time to explore everything it could do so it took a while to fully benefit from it. It also wasn't instant getting other departments on board and that buy in took some time as well.

“Easily determine work importance.”

Pros

I believe Asana is an excellent tool for startups since it simplifies planning, task assignment, tracking, and registration. I especially love the Gantt chart that lets us plan a project effectively.

Cons

I cant think of any negatives. We love Asana.

“highly quick setup”

Pros

Even on the free plan it has been really amazing and I have also spent time with the paid version before. Getting it set up, introduced to the team and used day to day is pretty easy. The interface is user friendly and the different ways to view work especially the list and board layouts are a big plus.

Cons

This is a very minor complaint but some of the more useful features take a few too many clicks to reach, like adding a ticket to extra columns. I'd also really like a drag-and-drop option for moving subtasks from one main task to another.

“easy fit for small teams”

Pros

Asana is a simple and user friendly tool. There's hardly any learning curve so you don't really need anyone to walk you through it and within a few days it's pretty clear how everything works. It's especially well suited for smaller teams of around 5 to 6 people and for projects that don't run for too long.

Cons

I wouldn't say it has any major downside but it's also not the most full-featured project management software available.

“Fantastic for business organization”

Pros

Compared with other tools in the same space, this software is much simpler to use. I haven't run into any problems with it and it gives me everything I need to keep my business organized.

Cons

Pros

It works really well for small teams that need to collaborate on project management and the free version is a dependable platform to get started with.

Cons

The last time I used it dragging tasks around was a bit tricky although that may have been fixed by now.

Pros

Asana has been an excellent tool for managing workflows and keeping teams aligned. It works well for all kinds of use cases, whether that's coordinating remote work, tracking projects, staying on top of deadlines and timelines organizing workflows, handling team communication or planning ahead. My favorite part is being able to see team collaboration in one shared calendar. The timeline view also looks really clean, is simple to manage and gives a lot of useful information at a glance.

Cons

It is very expensive. Even though the free version is very capable, the paid features cost more than a lot of competing tools.

“team collaboration powerhouse”

Pros

It's hard to imagine a team having real transparency and full collaboration without something like this in place. Once you start using it, the value keeps growing as your team builds better habits around it over time and eventually it becomes central to how everyone works. At that point, almost everything needs to run through it. The platform can be shaped in so many ways that its potential really comes down to how creatively you choose to use it.

Cons

The platform has grown far beyond basic task management software. There are updates happening almost every day.

“Promising for team projects”

Pros

From what I have seen this platform looks like a decent option for handling group projects and working collaboratively as a team. I just haven't used the software enough yet to give a deeper or more complete review.

Cons

At this point I really haven't spent enough time on the platform to point out anything I liked the least or identify any clear downsides.

Pros

There's a lot to appreciate about this software and it's honestly tough to fit it all into one review. The biggest highlight for me is how well it supports collaboration at every stage, from brainstorming ideas all the way through to getting projects completed.

Cons

I'd still like to see a wider range of templates especially for workflows that don't naturally fit into a task-based format.

“supports team alignment”

Pros

Since joining my current company, I have been using Asana and it honestly surprised me with how well it helps organize a fairly large organization. It keeps everyone in the same group on the same page and makes it much easier to follow team tasks and monitor work progress especially because it does such a good job of visualizing task status.

Cons

I'd really like it if they offered a desktop app instead of relying only on the web browser version. Having to keep multiple tabs open in my browser ends up using too much RAM which slows down the other applications I am running. That has definitely affected my work on the computer.

“Flexible planning”

Pros

Right away Asana felt very user friendly because of its clean interface. I could organize my tasks, set goals and assign roles to other team members without any hassle. The scheduling feature was especially useful since it let me assign tasks in advance even before their actual start date. I also appreciated getting alerts whenever tasks or goals were approaching their deadlines. Another thing I enjoyed was having four different layout options which made it possible to customize how the team's project appeared. On top of that the weekly email updates kept me informed about the team's progress and those emails still came through even on the free plan. It was also helpful that I could invite teammates immediately after assigning tasks, leave comments to discuss responsibilities and make certain tasks private so only a specific group of people could see them.

Cons

One part that didn't work that well for me was the lack of real-time teammate tracking. After assigning a task, I often had to mark it as not started and then rely on the other person to update it later to in progress or done which didn't always happen. Because of that, I don't think it's the best fit for managing a large team when communication is limited. It really needs a better system to make communication and status updates easier among project members.

“Team potential”

Pros

The concept behind it really appeals to me because it seems like a great way to keep a team organized and on track with deadlines. The sample setups look really good and the little yetis and unicorns that pop up when a task gets finished genuinely make me smile.

Cons

I still haven't managed to roll the templates out in a way that makes this the central place for our organization to check what's coming next. On the free plan, a lot of the features feel out of reach and harder to put into practice. I have spent time with both the free and paid versions but it just hasn't fully clicked for our group.

“Widely adopted”

Pros

It's quite user friendly even for beginners and since it has become such a standard tool, most new people joining a company already have some experience using it.

Cons

One thing I'd still want is better support for AP-related workflows. A photo scanning feature would be really useful there especially as the need for more visual collaboration tools continues to grow.

“Forms that speed up everything”

Pros

One feature I keep coming back to in Asana is forms. Having people outside my user group submit a task that automatically lands in my to-dos, with all the needed files attached and a due date already assigned has really organized the way I work.

Cons

It does an amazing job of rolling out new features so I am hopeful this gets added soon. One thing I'd really love is an automated email or Slack notification sent to a user-provided address when a task is marked complete. That would save me a lot of time updating non-IT users that the task is finished.

“Reliable project organization”

Pros

It helps us keep projects organized while also managing our workflow which makes it easier to stay on top of tasks and ensure everything gets delivered.

Cons

Right now we are using a project to handle one central workflow but it would be nice if there were more reliable options for workflow management.

“Fun interface”

Pros

The interface colors have a really nice contrast which makes the platform feel more enjoyable to use. Setting up and mapping out projects is quick and easy. Also it lets you monitor progress in real time and includes file-sharing support which is very helpful.

Cons

The search function is almost useless. There are also scaling problems and once you're trying to manage several projects At the same time the board gets difficult to navigate.

“fantastic for team collaboration”

Pros

Asana being free is a big plus and it works really well for collaborating with a team that has multiple members while handling several tasks at the same time.

Cons

Well the different view options take away some of the simplicity. When I had to pick a view, it was confusing to figure out which one I should use, why I should choose it and what benefit a specific view would actually add.
