One aspect that could use improvement is the search function which could benefit from better choices and customization to match other tools. Additionally drag and drop functionality doesn't work universally and shifting tasks between groups can sometimes be a tedious process.

With Asana I effortlessly plan organize and manage my daily work with utmost efficiency. Tracking and monitoring work progress is a breeze and the time tracking feature simplifies project time management.

I haven't encountered any limitations with Asana as it performs perfectly and fulfills all my objectives.

The task completion feature in Asana is fantastic. When I finish a task I simply click on the "done" button and it moves from the "undone" list to the "done" list. Additionally task prioritization is a breeze.

It would be wonderful to have the ability to comment on files within the app. Currently I have to download make comments and then reupload a PDF or document that someone uploads for evaluation. If there was a way to directly comment on the document that would be fantastic. I would also like to see every task that I'm following. Currently tasks don't appear in your feed if you're not the assigned person. Having a report of the tasks you're following would be quite useful.

Asana offers valuable insights into time investment and objective achievement. It summarizes team hours and compares them to the planned ones providing a comprehensive overview of project progress. This information along with the ability to create and organize project files proves immensely useful for collaboration especially with our marketing department. Asana has become an essential tool for efficiently managing and storing project documents enhancing our team's productivity.

Sometimes projects require participation from different areas of the organization and sharing information between those areas can be a challenge. Not everyone agrees on sharing information between different areas of the company which can lead to resistance or distrust. Having a lack of division or confidentiality in the progress of each part of the team contributes to this.

Pros

Project management is made easy with Asana making it an essential tool for us.

I'm not satisfied with the customer support; there are delays and it's hard to track tickets.

We appreciate the ability to set up projects and tasks with detailed descriptions milestones goals deadlines reminders prioritization tagging commenting collaboration and task dependencies. The calendar view workflow view and insightful reporting options provide a comprehensive overview of our ongoing work. Asana has proven to be an invaluable asset in optimizing our project management processes.

If there is one issue we could raise about Asana it would be the data export functionality. Despite having a team of skilled developers we struggle with exporting the necessary data and fields. For instance we meticulously set up forms and custom fields in tasks to track communication with existing and potential customers. However when attempting to export using Asana's API we encounter numerous problems resulting in unformatted data and other complications. It can be quite frustrating.

However I believe the interface could be more user-friendly and there should be additional features for tracking progress on assigned tasks.

Working with complex projects tasks and workflows is never a walk in the park. However the most nightmarish aspect is collaborating on tasks that have multiple subtasks. Finding relevant communications and threads in such cases is an arduous task whether it's through the task interface the Inbox or any other avenue. It's an absolute nightmare.
