Lacked flexibility but easy to use

Pros

I think BigTime is fine overall. It's easy to use. However, it didn't have the flexibility I needed for my work, which involves different billing setups depending on the service. Unfortunately BigTime didn't handle that well. While it's easy to use it just didn't have the flexibility I was looking for.

Cons

I didn't really find any issues with this software, no complaints about this.

Streamlined Job Setup

Pros

My setup for jobs with budgeting from start to finish has gotten a lot easier with this. It really helps to have everything in one place when reviewing accounts. It's been a bit of a learning curve, but it hasn't been too hard to get the hang of. The knowledge base is a lifesaver especially when I feel stuck in certain areas.

Cons

I really appreciate that we can set everything up and have it directly added to BigTime. For our industry this really helps cut down on errors when setting up jobs and adding information.

Reliable and user-friendly

Pros

BigTime is super easy to navigate. I mostly use the Invoicing module, and it's been really helpful for me. I also like that it's pretty reliable and doesn't have much downtime which is always a plus.

Cons

There aren't many issues with invoice processing but when there is one, it takes a while to get resolved. Sometimes it's so bad that we just have to work around it because it can't be fixed right away.

All-in-one management tool

Pros

I love that everything for business management is in one place. It has time tracking, invoicing, planning, etc. It's really easy to use for both management and the team.

Cons

The visuals and graphics for the reports aren't as eye-catching as some of the other options I've used before. BigTime's Foresights add-on has a much better user interface for reports and metrics.

Essential tool with improvements

Pros

BigTime has become an essential tool for our firm. It's made tracking employee time across projects and tasks so much easier. The software's features allow us to keep a close eye on project profitability, employee utilization, timelines, and budgets. I also appreciate that BigTime keeps improving with regular updates and new features.

Cons

I think the interface design could still be improved. Some features also come with an extra cost which can be a bit frustrating.

Great features but needs updates

Pros

What I like most about BigTime is how it handles time tracking, billing, budgeting, and expense tracking. It integrates well with other tools, which is awesome. However I think the interface and invoice templates could use some upgrades to make it even better.

Cons

Mobile access is nice for me but the interface feels outdated. There's a steep learning curve and there are only a limited number of invoice templates.

Easy tracking and support

Pros

BigTime's features make it really easy to track budgets and actuals. I can quickly pull vital reports for managers. Their customer service is also amazing! I'm looking forward to continuing to use it.

Cons

Once in a while, I come across bugs in the system but none of them are big enough to slow down my firm's workflow.

Reliable billing and task management

Pros

I find reliability in the online billing and subscription service, plus proofing and adding due dates on projects and tasks. It's also great for EMPSA, online project management and it integrates smoothly with QuickBooks.

Cons

Honestly I don't have anything to mention here. It has everything we need and it works well.

Not suitable for small firms

Pros

For our very small firm BigTime wasn't the right fit. It's a really powerful system with lots of features but it was just too much for our needs.

Cons

The notification system didn't work properly and setting everything up took a lot more effort than I expected.

BT andriod support issues

Pros

BigTime is great for people who are on the road a lot, as it allows you to capture time and expenses in real-time. It's definitely helpful for managing on the go.

Cons

It seems like the app works better for iPhone users. As an Android user with a Fold 5, the upgraded app didn't work for me. After months of emailing back and forth, no solution came through. Also there's no in-person phone support to help get things fixed.

Easy setup but dashboard limits

Pros

We started using BigTime on February 1st, 2024, and so far, the experience has been really positive. Customizing reports and setting up projects and invoicing is very easy. Pulling data for analysis and checking the firm's health is super accessible.

Cons

I really wish the dashboards were more customizable. Right now they aren't giving us the snapshot we need for our firm's needs.

Efficient tracking with sync issues

Pros

The time tracking is really efficient for us and it syncs well with accounting software to manage billing. The interface is user-friendly, so everyone in the office can enter time and track project status. Of course, there are always going to be issues with any software especially when using it alongside other tools.

Cons

The sync agent isn't always reliable which can be a bit of a pain sometimes.

Has a lot of restrictions

Pros

There is not much that I like about it as setting it up takes a lot of time and tracking time is not very intuitive. But, one good thing about it is that it does have a lot of customizable features.

Cons

When I enter time, it duplicates rows, creating timesheets with hundreds of rows which makes it very hard for managers to approve.

Excellent for project tracking

Pros

BigTime has proven to be an excellent tool for me to track project time at my firm. Plus it was quite simple for me to learn. I was able to create specific reports that met my tracking needs very well. Plus I also use it for project management, budgeting and invoice preparation and tracking.

Cons

Have nothing negative to say about BT. From customer support to the online Knowledge Base, I can easily find answers to most questions. The training and follow-up support have been excellent too. So overall I am very happy with it.

The customer support team is amazing

Pros

I like how amazing BT is and I am very impressed by the invoicing system. Plus their customer support service is quite amazing too.

Cons

I really wish there was a way to set a limit on invoices so they can't go over the budget. Also it would be great if the system did not allow automated invoices to exceed the set budget.

Has a wide range of helpful features

Pros

BigTime offers a lot of useful features that really help with the different healthcare projects we handle. Plus, the reporting tools, expense tracking and billing invoices are quite useful too, which makes it even more likable to us.

Cons

Some reports are difficult for me to customize. You have to have someone with technical expertise to set them up on the software for regular use.
