“BugHerd
Pros
I love the ability to tie a bug directly to a course page, use the browser extension, get automatic screenshots, have discussions, and the new ability to add/rename swimlanes.
Cons
I would like to be able to group individual courses in Canvas, each with a unique URL, into the same BugHerd project, but currently, I can't. The annotation feature for screenshots is a bit primitive, and I want to be able to edit link URLs in case page names (and therefore URLs) change after a bug is logged.

“Must have tool for project launch
Pros
It is easy for me to help clients understand the workflow. With this tool, we accelerate project launches.
Cons
I think it could be useful to have the option to close the feedback round.

“A no-brainer purchase for any agency or development team
Pros
It removes any ambiguity about bugs and feature requests for me. Being able to annotate a comment directly on a live/staging website is a huge perk and something I now cannot live without.
Cons
The lack of customizable columns in their kanban-style layout is a pity. It is not a deal breaker, but our agency workflow does not follow a 'backlog', 'doing', 'done', 'closed' workflow, and we end up having to have internal discussions about what 'backlog' actually represents in our own workflow. It would be great to rename these columns and have more or fewer of them.

“A Real Game Changer for Web Dev
Pros
BugHerd has been a significant game changer for my team's web development capabilities. While we used to add extensive notes to PDFs and emails for the client, now we can tackle changes and feedback right at the source. The tool is fairly simple to use and makes it easy for our clients to give us their thoughts, shortening our timelines and making deliverables easier to fulfill.
Cons
Since BugHerd is still being refined and updated pretty frequently, there are occasional hiccups. It still has some quirks with multiple website testing instances that tend to cross some wires in the feedback. The ability to add a voice recording or brief screen recording to really lock down feedback would be great. When working with a team in a different area, adding bugs to our site can be interpreted a million different ways, so an easier way to provide specific info would be the next evolution of BugHerd.

“Amazing feedback tool
Pros
The simplicity of installation and the ability to direct users to click on a feedback tab on our website was awesome for me. Users were able to submit feedback simply, power users with the browser extension could submit more informative feedback with screenshots, and the kanban-style board for managing feedback was SO helpful for prioritizing and tracking bugs and issues.
Cons
As far as I am concerned, it is perfect in every way. There is not much more I can ask for when using a tool that only requires a simple snippet of code to change the way my users provide feedback.

“Great tool for collecting feedback
Pros
Finally, I found a tool to track feedback accurately for web development! BugHerd is a fantastic way to pinpoint feedback and collaborate on solutions.
Cons
Guest access is limited in providing exposure to overall project status, which causes extra work for me to generate reports to communicate project progression.

“Track your bugs and tasks easily
Pros
I find it easy to use for customers. The connection between the ticket and the webpage frontend clarifies the task at hand and minimizes feedback loops. The UI is very cleaned up and intuitive.
Cons
There is no Jira integration, and I have to write at least 40 characters in this box... ;-)

“Great for fast QA
Pros
BugHerd offers screenshotting, tagging, email communications, and a web extension, which I find incredibly useful.
Cons
The kanban is limited and not customizable enough; I need to be able to override names.

“Take the guesswork out of website edits
Pros
Internal and external stakeholders can mark directly on the page of a website any edits or bugs. No more taking screenshots and marking them up, or trying to read hand-written notes, or worse, decipher email feedback. All tasks are marked in the backend, in a task board.
Cons
It does not work very well on mobile. Also, it could use some approval levels within the software.

“BugHerd makes it easy to QA
Pros
It is very easy for me to jump in, understand my needs, and help me document swiftly. I have used it on both small and large teams and truly enjoy the interface of the product. It doesn't take up too much space either, which can sometimes distract me from seeing the full view/frame at any point.
Cons
I can't think of anything that distracts me much about BugHerd, and I consider that a good thing. :)

“BugHerd Review
Pros
BugHerd makes it super easy for me to submit QA tickets and see them in one place. Also it's super easy for me to collaborate with others on these tickets and take actions. I really enjoy the snapshot feature and the ability to put a ticket on a mockup itself.
Cons
I feel that BugHerd could be a bit more visually engaging and interesting in its design approach.

“Simple and efficient way to flag dev. errors
Pros
This software makes it really simple for me and multiple members of my team to go through a new site, flag any errors, and assign someone to address them. Because it is so user-friendly, I, along with people outside of the dev team, can provide feedback as well.
Cons
Sometimes, I find it difficult to select the exact area I'm trying to comment on. It can be a bit laggy at times.

“Fast bug tracking for bulk bugs, with slow development of new features
Pros
I find that fast bug reporting is easy with BugHerd, as I can set tags, users, and descriptions easily. The user area is easy for me to filter with kanban columns, search, and the ability to click on a bug and be anchored to a pin in the bug's location on my website. There's no need for me to install code for each website I test.
Cons
I find the development team very slow to update and make changes to BugHerd. It is lacking bulk select features, and its connections to third-party tools with better backend management are not up to scratch.

“Get Em!
Pros
I have something that allows me to track bugs and issues without having to hunt them down or wait to be informed of them.
Cons
I experience minor irritations that are based on my personal preference rather than an actual issue.

“Great for getting feedback from users.
Pros
BugHerd is very simple for me to use. We have a number of young people that can help us with testing when we use this product.
Cons
I think the pricing is a bit high, but since they do not really have competition, it makes sense.

“Great for client and QA collaboration
Pros
This is a great tool for when I want clients and quality assurance testers to be able to mark items that need attention.
Cons
I feel it needs more built-in integration with major bug tracking software. The marker can sometimes point to the wrong location, but screenshots can be taken when creating an issue as a solution to that.

“Great bug tracking tool but sometimes UI seems too crammed
Pros
What I like about this bug tracking tool is the ability to share with clients and mark things in real-time on a website so I can easily spot them. I can even install their extension or add their script into their site so they can easily pinpoint UI problems in real-time and submit them as bugs.
Cons
As much as I like how it allows us to seamlessly track bugs from clients, when we have a lot of bugs, the UI looks a bit crammed, and comments are hard to see in each of the tasks.

“Nice UI. Not compatible with responsive websites, however
Pros
I like the nicely designed UI, which allows me to use drag and drop mouse movements to move jobs from in progress to completed, etc. I like how I can comment on items and how the client can respond. I can see the client's browser, OS, and screen size automatically, so I don't need to ask the client themselves!
Cons
When a client logs a bug in a responsive view and I load the bug task in a full desktop view, hidden mobile elements that are not available in the desktop view are also hidden. It's not easy for me to know they are talking about the mobile view without manually checking the screen resolution every time I view a new bug. The extra client details are only accessible if the client installs the BugHerd browser plugin.
