“offers quick support, issues resolved fast
Pros
It offers quick support and can resolve any issues in a very short time.
Cons
Personally, I think task management needs improvement as does the Kanban integration and its related performance metrics.

“Managing projects has become handy
Pros
Managing projects with this software has become really handy for me as I can organize tasks and timelines much more easily than before.
Cons
There is no undo or pin feature in the project planner right now and I really miss them. I often accidentally drag or move a program in a project and it would be so helpful to be able to undo that action or pin items in place.

“easy time entry, prompt support
Pros
It is very easy to add time to project timecodes and I can view status updates along with notifications whenever anything changes. For example to edits to my timecodes. Also there are reporting and analytics available for each individual timecode or for the whole project and I like the flexibility to log time and either submit hours for a single task or submit the entire week's entries at once, plus support responds promptly.
Cons
The interface design can feel a little complex at first so I needed a little time to get comfortable with it.

“extremely reliable, great web interface
Pros
Celoxis is extremely reliable and overall a great product. Also its web interface makes coordinating team members across different parts of the world much simpler and I also appreciate the time-tracking features as they work pretty well for our needs.
Cons
I wish it offered more advanced programming and query capabilities so I could customize reports and automations better. It would also help me if there were a way to group multiple projects under a master project with subprojects which would make managing related work much clearer.

“User-friendly, easy setup, configurable
Pros
It is great, user-friendly software that is easy to use, simple to set up and offers a good degree of configurability.
Cons
Nothing too serious but it is missing some of the more advanced features I need for complex workflows.

“Consolidated portfolio and risk view
Pros
With Celoxis, we get a consolidated portfolio view across our organization that shows all active workstreams and their scheduled times. We also log risks and issues together with every essential project detail so we can present a comprehensive management information dashboard.
Cons
Buying additional licenses is a bit complex and frustrating.

“there are multiple minor bugs
Pros
Customer support is fast and very responsive whenever I reach out to them.
Cons
One significant problem I've noticed is that there are multiple minor bugs that often slip through and only surface when they become critical which is really frustrating. For instance when someone schedules an event on the company work calendar like a Company Holiday, the event sometimes appears on the wrong day. That kind of misplacement creates confusion for everyone.

“Highly customizable and easy to use
Pros
The tool is highly customizable, it supports multiple initiatives, projects and portfolios and I also find it pretty easy to use.
Cons
I noticed that the time tracking/timesheet feature is way too detailed and ends up being more complicated than it needs to be.

“Incredibly easy, no training needed
Pros
It is incredibly easy to use, to the point that I barely needed any training which I think is important for getting all our PMs across the company to adopt it. Another thing I like is that it lets me add custom fields so I am never forced to change our internal processes to fit the tool. And on top of that I was able to build our own app basically a workflow. For example I set up a lessons-learned workflow that's part of every project but was not offered out of the box.
Cons
Occasionally the automatic calculation for a task's date behaves differently than I expect which can be confusing. So in those situations, I simply switch to manual date setup and enter the dates myself.

“API commands make integration a pleasure
Pros
The API commands are a great addition to this tool as they let me import and export filtered datasets into CSVs which makes integrating Celoxis with other applications a real pleasure. Creating tasks and projects is also pretty easy and overall, it is a very simple, user-friendly piece of software to work with.
Cons
As per me the API documentation hasn't been completely reliable as it does not always match what I'm doing. I suspect the exact wording or examples change depending on which client or method you use to send commands so it can be a little confusing.

“easy assignments, outstanding gantt chart
Pros
Thanks to this tool, assigning projects and setting task dependencies is incredibly easy. I also find assigning task owners and resources very simple. Also the Gantt Chart view is outstanding.
Cons
I have found that customizing views can become quite complicated and tricky to work with. Reporting in particular could be made much easier to navigate.

“runs full end to end project lifecycle
Pros
In my organization, I have been able to run the full end-to-end project lifecycle within Celoxis which I have not found matched in any other solution. This capability includes creating proposals for Professional Services engagements, converting those quotes into active projects, viewing resource and financial management information side-by-side on the same project, producing financial forecasts across our projects and teams through reports and handling other project tasks like RAID logs and status reporting directly within the project. Also my colleagues track holidays and enter timesheets in it and those entries feed into our actuals and billing. Overall it supports the project lifecycle comprehensively.
Cons
I've run into several shortcomings. Such as the area that requires the most rework and makeshift solutions is resource scheduling which is meant to support financial forecasting. The platform does consider resource availability for planning and timesheet entries and it flags scheduling clashes across different projects. However when resource management and financial forecasts are generated from the plan, they do not incorporate actuals to reflect remaining effort or revenue loss so I have to create manual workarounds to bridge that gap. Baselining projects also feels very limited. There's no way to undo changes made to a plan and while the audit log is useful, it would be much more valuable if I could step back through revisions because updating plans usually takes several attempts. Finally the lack of native multi-currency support is genuinely annoying, even though we have had to accept and maintain our own workarounds.
