“top-tier and widely trusted
Pros
It is user-friendly, and the UI design is clean and simple. It's easy to drill down, and I just use it for timesheet reporting, so it works for me.
Cons
I have heard it was expensive. I've used Unanet, which is also serviceable. Deltek is easy to use and connects with ADP, making payroll easy.

“Easy Timecards
Pros
This software allows me to easily access my timecards and log my time. Saving favorite codes for items such as contracts worked, favorites, leave, etc. is easy.
Cons
I have not encountered any issues so far, but there can be an overwhelming number of time codes depending on the company I work for.

“Works but not outstanding
Pros
It lets me easily enter time billed, fill out daily accomplishments, and submit timesheets. Entering time every day does not take too long.
Cons
I think the user interface could use some work. A lot of routine things are not intuitive and many errors are not explained well. Saving and adding a line item should be easier and more intuitive.

“Not a big fan of this program
Pros
Once I have my credentials, I can access it from any computer. It's easy to track my hours worked and see if they were approved or not. The feature showing used/unused leave balance is really helpful.
Cons
If I am not assigned to a project for a while, the whole access needs to be reset by HR, which is completely unnecessary. It's annoying that every time I put in my hours worked, I have to save the changes; otherwise, if I sign out and sign back in from another device, I have to start all over. If HR has not uploaded the correct project code, I can't put any hours in at all. If I need to make changes to the hours worked, it's a hassle because it throws error messages all over.

“I'm baffled by the reviews! This is the WORST!
Pros
What do I like most? My gosh - literally NOTHING. I've used multiple other timekeeping systems, and this is BY FAR the worst system I have ever seen and used!
Cons
Where to begin... Usability is complete garbage with absolutely ZERO thought for the standard employee user. I've never seen such poorly designed software. If you get an expert programmer to set it up for you, put in ONE charge code, and do the SAME thing every day, you'll be fine.

Cons
So far, it seems awesome, but I would like to explore the accounting side, especially the pools.

“COSTPOINT IS PRETTY AWESOME
Pros
Their interfaces can communicate with each other and the ease of use when using the software. It is straightforward, and if you have used various SAP systems before, you should not have an issue with this one. I transitioned from the US Army using GCSS-Army, and the interfaces in Costpoint were virtually the same.
Cons
I like the software, but my company does not want to pay for all the modules needed, so I feel as though I cannot use Costpoint to its full potential. I hope after this conference, I can go back to my company's president and change his mind.

“Improved Support
Pros
From an administrative standpoint, when I first started supporting this software, the support from Deltek was less than amazing. Over the last year, I have seen a vast improvement in the quality of the support personnel and the response time. Thank you for making my job easier!
Cons
Installing updates can be difficult at times. I would like to find an easier way to install them.

“Costpoint from a Programmer's View
Pros
I can easily select rows of data and export them to Excel and vice versa. The help information is great as well.
Cons
I think the error messages are not clear about the real issue. It also lacks some of the report functionality I need.

“Functional in a dysfunctional world

“Need improvement with standard reports
Pros
Moving around the system is easy, and the query function is a great way to filter information.
Cons
The standard reports are very poor. I wonder if they consulted actual users and asked what they needed. There are standard reports such as dispatch lists that should be part of the package.

“Costpoint
Pros
I really liked the reporting feature, especially the Cognos relationship and the ability to export directly to Excel as well as upload from Excel.
Cons
The revenue to income statement process is confusing to me. I have never worked with an accounting system where once I create and post an invoice, the total revenue for that product on the income statement is different from what was billed. I do not understand why I have to tell my system to recognize or pick up my revenue. It is redundant and causes me a lot of headaches.
