eXo Platform serves as a communication and knowledge collaboration tool that enables us to work together efficiently and securely from any location and device. It offers a comprehensive library of digital solutions for the workplace, including white papers, data sheets, and internal communication tools that work perfectly. The features are truly wonderful.

eXo Platform offers a full range of tools that we need to share files, ideas, resources, and project status information in a streamlined and unified manner. The neat layout and design of the different menus and sections make things easy to understand. The overall look and functionality are similar to common social media platforms. The monthly fee per user is reasonable and provides a good return on investment for us. Working with the eXo support team, especially during our setup period, was a pleasant experience.

Cons

The pricing for some of the higher-end plans is quite expensive, which might not be feasible for our organization. Configuring things without the guidance of technical support can be challenging and time-consuming.

I understand that not all features are open and they have certain limitations. However, trust me, it provides everything you need. I lean more towards liking it than disliking it. It's good and effortless.

I have been working on a personal project to create a niche social network. When searching for frameworks that could provide a complete infrastructure for my business, I discovered eXo. eXo Platform offers all the essential features for developing a niche social network, including authentication, active streams, and other features you can imagine for a social network. One of the main reasons I chose eXo is because it is written in Java, primarily JSP (which can be extended to JSF, Juzu), and it works with portlets. This means you can build modules and apply them to your portal. If you're looking for a framework to build a social network, I highly recommend giving eXo a trial before diving deep into your project.
