It operates differently from other Gantt Chart Solutions by focusing on Resources instead of tasks. This significantly simplifies the scheduling process and greatly aids in monitoring upcoming projects. The reporting tool functions exceptionally well for manipulating the necessary information.

Cons

The API still requires a lot of improvement. The notification system also needs attention since I have to set up notifications for each project individually instead of having general rules applied to all systems. Integrations with other software like Slack or Teams would also be beneficial.

Ganttic has proven to be the ideal tool for our needs. Its very intuitive and didn't require much training. The support was exceptional in assisting us with the initial steps and setup.

Its disappointing that I can't limit users view to specific projects only.

My default view spans from the current week to the end of the following month. Its frustrating that on the first day of each new month, I can't access the data for the following month until midday.

Ganttic has resolved the issue of double bookings particularly on projects for me. It has also provided me with valuable insights into prioritizing workflow. The tool is effortless to use and implement. I've finally realized what I've been missing when it comes to resource management.

Pros

Managing numerous short term tasks across a large team is so simple. The Gantt chart is easy to view and important project information is readily accessible.

Cons

Currently its separate from our other systems, so it requires duplicate work to keep up with key information in Ganttic.

Its user friendly and the various colors provide an overall excellent view and structure.

There's nothing bad about it and I can't think of anything that could be improved.

“Ganttic for multi-project management in mid-sized teams

Pros

Creating and modifying tasks with durations and assigning them to team members and projects is a breeze. The color coded resource utilization marks are incredibly helpful in identifying time slots where a team member is over-scheduled.

Cons

It doesn't have integration with Jira or Outlook which would be really useful if they allow since we are currently planning tasks in multiple places. I know there is a generic interface for establishing such integration but we haven't had the time to write it ourselves.

“Review after 4 years with Ganttic

Pros

If you are looking for a simple and impressive tool for resource/project scheduling then Ganttic is the best choice. We have been using this tool for over 4 years, and the developers have added numerous features. The support is prompt, and they always provide the right answers.

Cons

In the past there were some gaps in the user settings but Ganttic added the possibility to the admin part, and it works! As of now I don't know of any cons.

I love Ganttic. I have been using it for several years now and have weekly meetings with the project managers in my company, where I can plan work on the spot. I've recommended this system to others and urged them to give it a try.

The lack of search tools is a downside for me since I like to find completed jobs quickly.

Pros

The main advantages are its affordability and user friendliness. When it comes to booking resources and managing production schedules across hundreds of projects with a large team, it performs flawlessly. Additionally, it offers an available API that we've effectively integrated with our other tools.

Cons

We've had to create manual workarounds to extract relevant reportable data from Ganttic. We have also noticed that it has a blind spot when it comes to capacity planning (there's an unassigned task area but it's global across the site, and you can't have separate unassigned task areas for different teams). The mobile app is not worth the time.

The interface has a simple display. Its not very complicated which prevents confusion for the user.

Cons

The software could make some small improvements. For example when I move one event of a project, it would be great if all project events moved with it. But instead, I have to manually move everything.

It is quite annoying that Ganttic doesn't remember how each user selects to show the collapsible resource view.

It would be beneficial if it allows us to link with our ERP and mobility service tool. Currently, its a disconnected tool and we might need to replace it with an integrated system that aligns with our tools.

The dashboard is fantastic. It provides an overview of the software in a well organized manner and locating icons, especially notifications is effortless. Its highly customizable, and since I was part of the implementation team, I have a complete understanding of how easy the process is. I highly recommend it.

I find Ganttic to be simple and uncomplicated to use. There are no challenging processes, and all the features are well designed to serve their purpose. So I dislike nothing
