“collaborative coding made simple”
Pros
Uploading code and contributing to projects felt really simple, whether it was work from my own team or code created by other teams that we were also using.
Cons
The part I wasn't a fan of was Github's monitoring and corrective systems especially when they tried to block certain actions or step in while I was working.

“Impressed with it!”
Pros
Working in recruiting, this was helpful for sharing work examples and giving hiring managers a clearer view of each candidate's skill set.
Cons
If you're not a developer though, it can be pretty difficult to navigate and fully understand.

“Had good experience”
Pros
It's good tool and helped us a great deal!
Cons
Learning the command-line interface takes a huge amount of time and it feels very unuser-friendly. Also, the available learning resources are not very helpful. Understanding how to use it feels more like picking up a craft and you really need someone experienced to walk you through it properly.

“Made work easier”
Pros
Keeping up with development work for our App SDKs is much easier with this. Clients can also send feedback and report bugs directly and we're able to push those items into Jira afterward.
Cons
The repo holds a huge amount of content so it can feel overwhelming when you're not very familiar with it. Because of that, tracking down the right information to send to clients can be difficult.

“Great software overall”
Pros
It is built around Git, a distributed version control system that lets developers keep track of code changes over time.
Cons
If you're only working on a very small or personal project and collaboration is not really needed, it's complete set of features can end up feeling a bit excessive.

“Integrations that actually work”
Pros
Working with a team is much more convenient since pull requests and issue tracking are all available in one place. The integrations with other tools work really well too and the interface feels clean and well organized.
Cons
The free plan offers unlimited private repositories but some advanced features (like detailed code owners or advanced security) require a paid plan

Pros
Working with Github has been fantastic because it makes collaboration much simpler through features like version control and pull requests.
Cons
It can still be tough for beginners because of how complex it is and some of the more advanced features may feel overwhelming for casual users. Have you run into that too?

Pros
Using it feels very simple and the improved GUI lets me contribute without ever needing to open the terminal. It's also really useful for sharing files and hosting images for websites.

“A fantastic tool”
Pros
I feel that keeping track of versions in my codebase feels really simple with this and the integrations with third-party services make it simple to connect tasks directly to pull requests.
Cons
If you're not a hardcore developer, the setup can be a little challenging at times but that's a minor tradeoff considering how useful everything else is.

“branching feature stands out for me”
Pros
The branching feature is probably the best part for me. It lets several developers work on different parts of the same project at the same time without putting the main product at risk. After someone finishes their changes, they can submit a pull request for the senior developer or project manager to review and then those updates can be merged into the live version without disrupting anything.
Cons
Don't have any complaints.

“Love using it”
Pros
It covers the parts of development I use most... Issues are excellent for tracking bugs and talking through feature requests, pull requests make it simple to suggest changes and review everything in a dedicated comment-based UI, the Actions freature handle continuous integration and automatic deployments really well and Projects helps a lot with project management too.
Cons
Honestly I haven't run into anything that clashes with the way I work or with my team's current workflow.
