“reliable web file storage”

Pros

Using it has been very simple and I can count on it especially when it comes to storing my web files.

Cons

I've been happy with how it has worked for me so I don't really have any negative feedback to share.

Pros

Versioning and access control are a big plus especially when both internal and external developers need to collaborate. I also appreciate how detailed the permissions are since it gives a lot of control over the code.

Cons

One downside is that it isn't particularly user-friendly when integrating it with other applications especially when setting up automations.

Pros

Getting started doesn't take long at all and it's very user-friendly from the beginning. Git makes version control much more manageable and helps a lot when sharing code and working together on software development.

Cons

It still feels like there are plenty of tools and features I haven't fully explored yet. Also, in my opinion, a lot of the resources on it could be organized much better.

“Excellent tool!”

Pros

Code versioning and team collaboration are, to me some of it's biggest strengths. I also can't leave out the deployment and continuous integration tools available which make it possible to build a complete deployment pipeline. Another thing I really enjoy is how simple it is to create your own portfolio for personal, academic or even professional projects. It's simple to set up, customize, secure and overall feels very safe to use.

Cons

The only downside I can point to is the pricing of the paid version. Since it's charged in dollars, it ends up being quite expensive. Other than that, I really don't have any major complaints.

It offers a lot of useful features, along with a strong security and authentication system. There are several integration options available, the paid plans are reasonably priced and it also provides code quality control and strong collaboration features.

Cons

Haven't come across anything that I'd consider a negative point. In my opinion, it's the best option in its category.

Connecting it with servers is very simple and the control it gives over development versioning is excellent.

I really don't have any complaints since I'm able to use almost all of its features very effectively.

Version control is strong, the CI/CD setup is simple and it works really well as an enterprise-level tool.

It can feel expensive if you're not using it in an enterprise environment and there's definitely a learning curve at the beginning.

So simple to use it... and once everything is in place, it pretty much runs on its own without needing any extra attention.

Just wish it offered more customization options.

Pros

Working on a collaborative research project like LEGEND, with institutes spread across the world, makes it incredibly valuable. It lets everyone share information in real time and get feedback quickly from people who are willing to help and actually have the right expertise which leads to faster solutions. For any team-based work, this kind of tool really helps collaboration succeed.

Cons

One thing I wish it offered is a free trial especially for students. That would give more people a chance to get familiar with the software, use it beyond the trial period and potentially keep collaborating with others long term.

Pros

Right away, the software felt very user-friendly, the logo looks polished and attractive and the website comes across as one of the most trustworthy out there.

Cons

At the beginning, the only thing that threw me off was not really understanding what It was meant for until I had spent some time using the site.

Widely used and well-regarded software that's especially popular with developers. It's a really strong tool overall.

Cons

The search feature can feel a bit confusing for some users at first.

Pros

It has been really useful for keeping code updated through public repositories. It's a secure place to store code and it also gives beginners a chance to learn at no cost. The platform is also excellent for creating PRs and handling deployments.

Cons

At times, while doing a pull or push, a pop-up appears saying there's an integration issue although it usually starts working again after a while.

Pros

Getting into open-source projects on it is pretty simple. Since it's the biggest platform for open-source projects worldwide, developers everywhere use it to fork repositories and collaborate on all kinds of work. The search box makes it simple to find projects that match your interests and jump into contributing right away. Also, it has a dedicated area for exploring and learning about open-source projects organized by topic which makes browsing even more useful. It also highlights trending repositories and lets you sort them by day, week or month in the same view.

Cons

The usual limit is 100MB per file and 1GB per repository. That works fine for most repositories but once a project gets fairly large and has a long history behind it, those limits can start to feel restrictive.

“Has helpful resources”

Pros

Working with others is really convenient and there are plenty of online resources available whenever help is needed. It's user-friendly overall, whether using it through IDEs or the GUI.

Cons

I haven't tried Git's deployment feature yet so I can't really say how simple it is to use. Aside from that, it offers a lot of features and they're simple to work with.

Pros

The platform has been a big win for my development workflow overall.

Cons

One thing that still needs work is the Github Slack plugin since it occasionally misses notifications and feels limited in features. It would be really nice to have native support for that third-party integration. Also, handling complicated merge conflicts in the web UI isn't very practical. Github Desktop helps but that means installing and managing another app on my computer.

Pros

Being able to connect with other designers and get that kind of visibility within the community has been the best part.

Cons

Interface can be a bit confusing and doesn't feel as adaptive as some other platforms.

Right from the start, this software felt very simple to use and move around in. Everything is basically point and click so there's no need to put in any extra effort at all. For me, it's a strong 10/10.

Honestly... I don't have anything negative to say. This is one of the best software options I've used.

One of the best parts for me has been the version management, along with being able to share and hand off code to other team members from a single platform.

Cons

At this point, there really isn't anything I dislike about the software.

“smooth integrations and strong ci/cd”

Pros

What worked really well was how easily it connects with the other tools our company already uses. For instance, we rely on Discord for communication between coworkers and with the Github bot linked to it, we get a message every time someone approves a pull request or closes an important issue. Also, the built-in CI/CD has made a big difference because we can upload a new version of the app and even test it before release which helps deliver a much better experience to the final user without major flaws.

Cons

I do wish it handled the connection between issues and pull requests a bit better. The feature is interactive but there are still times when I forget to link an issue and it gets a little frustrating to end a sprint with some issues left unlinked.

“love using github”

Pros

Most of the time, I've used it to host my own projects especially front-end ones. It's been an excellent tool for that and I genuinely love working with it.

Cons

There's very little to criticize about it. I've liked pretty much everything about the software and don't really have any complaints.
