Creating branches is really helpful and resolving conflicts, fixing issues and sharing code across the whole development team works very well.

The hard reset function still doesn't seem to be properly distributed.

As a programmer, this tool has been really useful. It helps us find solutions to many different problems and has been good overall.

The tool is exceptionally useful for discovering known solutions.. but its search function requires precise queries to navigate the vast amount of data.. which can be challenging for vague problems.

Pros

Working with different branches and versions of code feels effortless and that's something I'm exceptionally happy about. It is truly excellent when it comes to keeping code usable, manageable and reusable.

Cons

Getting started can feel a bit overwhelming and intimidating. At first, it looks much more complicated than it actually is.

Pros

It has been excellent to use. I can quickly push my code there and deploy it without hassle. One thing I really appreciate is that it supports practically any programming language, whether it's JavaScript, Python, PHP, Java or anything else I'm working with. The debugging feature is also very helpful and being connected to such a large developer community is a big plus. Also, having mobile access makes it even more convenient.

Really impressive platform and at this point I honestly haven't come across anything I dislike about it.

Pros

One of the best parts is the Github search feature since it can search across the entire organization which is really useful.

Cons

Handling permissions and authorization can be a bit confusing and not always very simple.

Pros

Keeping track of our applications is much easier with this since we can stay current on the latest versions, talk things through and get help in the community forums whenever issues come up. It plays an essential role in making free software available and supporting it which is a big reason we use it so often. We value it enough that we also donate and support the platform ourselves.

Cons

At times some of the apps do have bugs and updates or fixes can take a while to arrive. That said we do realize many of these programs are created and maintained by volunteers.

Pros

Being free makes it even better and it's very simple to use. I can usually find whatever code I'm looking for without any trouble.

Cons

I haven't run into any downsides. It's been perfect for what I need and it has helped me many times.

Pros

It has been incredibly useful for putting several links together in a single file. I depend on it all the time for downloads and links and I keep recommending it to my friends whenever they need source code or fresh ideas for new projects. It has helped me a lot in finishing my own projects and the way it lets me share and store my code is really excellent.

Cons

On a daily basis, I post small pieces of code on It, troubleshoot issues with distributed teams and learn more impressive algorithms from other users. All of that helps me a lot when it comes to completing my projects.

Pros

For us, on any project, collaboration is usually the biggest priority and that's exactly where this stands out for me. It genuinely feels like I'm working in a collaborative environment which makes teamwork much better.

Cons

An area that could be better is the dashboard accessibility and interface. It still needs improvement so regular tasks can be handled more quickly, ideally with a single click.

It has been a favorite for my projects. The interface is clean, simple and very simple to navigate. It includes all the features I need so I rarely have trouble getting things done. One thing I really appreciate is the search bar,it does a very good job of finding what I need even when I'm not completely sure what the exact name is.

Cons

After using it for quite some time, I honestly haven't come across anything I dislike about it. It's simple to use, the layout is clean and uncluttered and the pricing feels affordable as well.

Pros

Having version control, separate branches for each user and automated deployments really helps support a strong CI/CD pipeline.

Cons

The interface isn't very beginner-friendly. New users are usually expected to already understand the concepts on their own and it's not very self-explanatory.

Pros

Working with it has made version control and team collaboration much more convenient. The CI/CD pipeline and code review features are also a really important part of why it works well for our development process.

Cons

It does offer a hosted system but there isn't a self-hosted option available and that's where GitLab becomes the better choice.

Getting this up and running on a computer was quick and simple. Working with other developers feels smooth and having the option to create private branches is a big plus.

Working with it has been really simple and the merge feature is especially impressive. Branch management also feels excellent and is one of the strongest parts of using it.

It still falls short when it comes to richer CI/CD capabilities, there are some security concerns and the level of personalization could be better.

Being able to search across the entire organization and narrow down huge amounts of data with plenty of filters is really useful.

One thing I really appreciate about this Github setup is the code history it keeps. It has also been very useful for sharing the code written by our team members for a specific project.

Cons

A few details still need to be clearer for users. For example, it would help to explain what certain services are for and where exactly they should be used.

“faster workflows now”

Pros

Not having to rely on someone from the development team for small website updates is the best change i saw after using it. That extra independence makes it much easier to jump in and make changes yourself. Git also speeds up the workflow since there's no need to awkwardly chase someone down or send emails just to get changes approved. When working on a project with Git, you can make edits with a lot more confidence because it's very hard to make a mistake that can't be undone. All of that helps projects move forward much faster.

Cons

I'd really like to see the file size limit increased to at least 100 MB per file. Even a single still 4K image can easily have a source file around 100 MB.
