“powerful software”
Pros
Version of control is an outstanding feature of this tool, issue tracking and the way it can automate development workflows with CI/CD are also good features. The interface feels simple and user-friendly which makes it simple to bring into projects without much friction. I also appreciate having the option to host projects in the cloud or deploy it on-premises since that flexibility makes it much easier to adapt to different needs.
Cons
When working on very large projects performance and speed can start to drop. On top of that, the advanced configuration options it provides can be quite complicated for new users so some features could be simplified and made more accessible. Even though it already offers plenty of documentation, it would still benefit from more tutorials and practical examples to help users take full advantage of everything it offers.

“capable product”
Pros
Across the software development lifecycle it offers a very well-integrated approach with built-in CI/CD pipelines that make the platform especially useful. Even though it's made for developers it still feels quite user-friendly.
Cons
The documentation can be difficult to follow and because the platform includes so many features, new users may feel a bit overwhelmed while trying to get familiar with everything.

“simple project collaboration”
Pros
Working with several people on projects collaboratively is a real advantage and it comes with a complete suite of development tools that makes our work much simpler.
Cons
It tends to be slow when used for large-scale projects and the setup is quite difficult especially for people who don't have much experience in software development.

“pleasant experience”
Pros
Looking for an alternative to GitHub led me to start using it and this has been fantastic for a developer like me. It helps me identify issues in my code and make improvements across the codebase.
Cons
Compared with GitHub it still is not as widely popular. They should make some updates and changes to keep up better with the modern era.

“Work well for us”
Pros
It works really well for developers especially when it comes to handling our code reviews and keeping a repository organized and maintained.
Cons
One downside is that the interface keeps changing so it takes some time to adjust whenever updates are made.

“too complex for simple projects”
Pros
This is a full platform with features like project management, issue tracking and continuous integration. Its Git repository management is also good with useful capabilities such as branching, merging and pull requests.
Cons
Because it includes so many features it can feel overly complicated when working on simpler projects.

“Purpose-built for teamwork”
Pros
For any developer managing and distributing source code is essential and I am working with other people it's basically impossible not to use a tool like this.
Cons
It's definitely not something you pick up right away and it took me a while at the beginning to get used to how everything works.

“realtime collaboration wins”
Pros
Realtime code collaboration has been the best part for me and the version control features are also a big plus.
Cons
It still lacks open-source support like GitHub and the documentation could definitely be more detailed and explanatory.

“Software that just works”

Building CI/CD pipelines directly in this tool has been really convenient and useful for us.
Cons
When I need to compare a lot of commits at once the process can get a little complicated in certain situations.

“covers all the Git features”
Pros
It works well as a version control platform that allows teams to host their own code repositories, set up CI/CD pipelines without much struggle and manage users and groups with the right access restrictions. It covers all the core Git features, includes a browser-based IDE, offers a CI/CD interface that's easy to handle and has really impressive code review capabilities.
Cons
Exploring it can feel overwhelming at first especially for new users because the navigation is not very simple and can be confusing. On top of that the CI/CD error messages are not detailed enough so troubleshooting issues can take longer than it should and leave you stuck figuring out what went wrong.

The way this system is set up speeds up delivery and gives more visibility across the workflow. It offers clear benefits for both software developers and everyday computer users.

“quick on-premise setup”
Pros
Getting this up and running was very easy and the configuration process felt easy from the start. Adding runners, meaning the servers that handle code builds, was simple and the CI/CD feature works well overall. If you're moving over from GitHub, the naming conventions do take a little adjustment but it only takes a few minutes to get comfortable with them. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone planning to build this kind of platform on-premise.
Cons
Coming from tools like GitHub, you do notice that some features are still missing especially around CI/CD. One limitation is that you can't update a global variable directly from a job so you have to rely on workarounds instead. Pricing also feels somewhat expensive particularly if you're considering the Ultimate plan.

“full features development powerhouse”
Pros
This works really well as a complete platform for software development. It brings together everything from code hosting to testing, security and collaboration in one place. On my team, it has made working together much more efficient and organized. It also supports automation and encourages best practices which helps speed up development while maintaining software quality. The platform is flexible, user-friendly overall and fits nicely across different kinds of projects.
Cons
A downside with it is that new users or smaller teams may find difficult to learn it. Because it includes so many features, the platform can seem overwhelming at first and the interface is complex enough that it takes some time before becoming fully comfortable with it.

“Cloud IDE is a win”
Pros
Having the integrated IDE built in is a huge plus. I really enjoy being able to develop, debug and commit directly in the cloud without needing a local IDE at all.
Cons
The new UI is really bad and I'd honestly prefer the previous version back. It's now confusing to find commits and even the main repository page. If a setting can't be changed, it should be disabled and clearly explain why instead of just sitting there. The UX still needs a lot of work. Notifications are also a mess since I have to manually click through every category.

“Customizable self-hosted git workflows”
Pros
Since GitHub came with a cost for company use and my previous employer was never going to pay for source control management no matter how essential it was to our team, it ended up being a really perfect fit. We installed it without much trouble on an internal VM and that handled everything we needed. It gave our Git repositories, client websites and configuration files a proper place to live. I'm comfortable using the Git CLI but the web interface and built-in hooks were also really convenient for everyone else and even for me on the days I didn't feel like working in the CLI.
Cons
Running this in-house does take some effort to get going. You need to have a VM ready and also set up a valid SSL certificate which isn't exactly a huge obstacle but it's still more involved than a lot of other products. It also gets updates pretty regularly which can be a bit much to keep up with although that's still preferable to using something that barely gets updated at all.
