It's very easy to use especially for managing projects through pipelines. Development also moves quickly which is a real advantage.

Pros

For my fourth-year research project, we've been using it as our collaboration platform and it works really well. It also integrates nicely with the main project management tools which makes coordinating everything much easier. With its very simple features, we're able to manage the project in a simple and practical way.

Cons

Something that could be better is offering a more realistic view by pointing out possible performance limitations or the learning time required for new users. That part could definitely use some improvement.

At the same time, I think the program is a little confusing in terms of layout and navigation.

Pros

Having everything in one place is what makes it so valuable. It combines version control, CI/CD, issue tracking and project management in a single DevOps platform which keeps work organized and cuts down on switching between tools. The open-source community behind it is also a big plus since it helps the product keep improving over time. Because it's built on Git, code management feels reliable and efficient especially for branching, merging and handling conflicts. The CI/CD features are another standout making it possible to automate builds, testing and deployments and helping teams release updates much faster.

Cons

I can't think of any downside to it.

Pros

It has a user-friendly interface that gives quick access to code repositories along with great project and task management tools. It also helps teams collaborate effectively and keeps the workflow well organized which is especially useful for group projects.

Cons

It is good overall but getting started was pretty difficult because the navigation felt confusing at first. It would also help to show issue statuses directly on the dashboard. Right now, assigning an issue to a team member requires opening the issue first so having quick action buttons in more places would make that process much better.

Pros

It's one of the best tools I've used for improving the SDLC and keeping IT projects under control especially with its fantastic CI/CD capabilities.

Cons

The only thing missing is a mobile app or a dedicated Windows client.

Pros

This has been an excellent fit for agile project management and it really helps developers collaborate while continuously building and delivering new products and applications.

Cons

We haven't run into any downsides while using this tool.

Pros

Compared with products like GitHub, this one is a really good option for teams handling private projects with self-hosted repositories. It also does a good job of tracking issues across the entire CI/CD pipeline.

Cons

One downside is that it feels slower than GitHub when pushing or pulling source code. The pricing is also higher compared to some other alternatives.

Pros

The interface feels comfortable and thoughtfully designed there's a wide range of features available and the built-in CI feature is excellent.

Cons

The pricing tiers are a little higher compared with competitors like GitHub.

Pros

Being free is a big plus for us and it works well with SVN while also offering good Git integration.

Cons

It does feel a bit too restrictive at times and the file size limit that prevents going beyond 100 MB is a real drawback.

“fantastic self-hosted platform”

Pros

Running our own Git instance has been a big advantage. We always know exactly where our data is since it's self-managed which gives us a lot of confidence. It also comes with multiple integrations and that has been really valuable for our team.

Cons

Most of the issues we've run into were resolved by using the official documentation which has been helpful. That said we are still dealing with some performance problems underneath it all.

Using it is very simple thanks to the user-friendly interface and it does a really good job covering the full project lifecycle. The smooth version control integration is also a big plus and makes day-to-day work much more convenient.

Cons

Getting started can still feel complex for beginners and it does require a fair amount of resources. Performance can also be inconsistent at times depending on the workload.

Pros

Version control has been really great with this tool and it's very easy to work with. The dashboard is especially useful for reviewing code since it lets you see every change one step at a time.

Cons

The app works well for me but applying updates can be a little complicated.

Getting started with it was very simple and the platform is easy to use overall. The authentication options are also really convenient.

Cons

A few hosting services still don't integrate with the tool which can be limiting in some cases.

“tasks and PRS in one place”

Pros

Having task management and source code tied together is a big plus. It's really convenient to use a single place for both day-to-day tasks and PRs. The shortcuts for creating new tasks are also a nice touch. I also appreciate being able to link a PR to an open task and have that task close automatically once the PR is merged. On top of that, the TODO column is very helpful since it shows all mentions and assigned tasks in one view.

Cons

It does go down occasionally. It's rare but it usually seems to happen at the worst possible moment. But I've seen the same thing happen with other services as well.

Pros

Being able to collaborate with my team is one of the best parts of using it.

Cons

It can feel a little too complicated to use when you're trying to figure it out on your own.

The UI is polished and simple dependable and does exactly what I need it to do. It feels very practical and functional overall.

Branch and tag comparison still has some bugs and the search input could definitely work better.

CI/CD pipelines have been the biggest highlight for me because of how much they can do. It offers a very capable platform for optimizing infrastructure and the automation helps teams spend less time on repetitive work and more time on higher-value tasks. Another big advantage is its scalability since it can grow along with your project without much trouble.

Cons

One area that still feels like it needs improvement is the pipeline editor especially the automatic commits feature which I think could be handled much better.

Their vision and mission really resonate with me and the collaborative approach behind the platform is something I genuinely appreciate. It's pages has also been a feature I've really enjoyed using.

Managing issues across the scope of a full project is extremely difficult and feels nearly impossible in practice.
