“good for organizing team projects”
Pros
Platform is a very user-friendly platform for storing and organizing projects. It makes project management easier by letting you assign specific roles to team members, define milestones and more. When starting a new project, you can import it from different sources or build it with templates. It also allows you to group projects neatly which helps keep everything organized.
Cons
Certain features need to be turned on by an administrator first such as cloning a project through OAuth integration setup.

“all done easily here”
Pros
App is simple to work with. Creating repositories, cloning repos and browsing or viewing files are all simple to do. Setting up rights and groups, locking branches and connecting it with Jira and Jenkins is also uncomplicated and the integrations have worked smoothly.
Cons
I think it's a really awesome application. The only issue I've noticed is the speed since it can be a little slow at times. Other than that, I can't think of any real drawbacks right now.

“number of customization options”
Pros
Running this as a self-hosted code repository has been an excellent fit. It comes with a wide range of integrations and customization options which makes it a strong choice for development teams managing internal code.
Cons
It's difficult to point to anything I dislike about it because the platform has been excellent.

“Easy to set up”
Pros
Creating a code repository and hosting a project on it feels very easy and using it with Git makes sharing work across a group much more manageable. It stands out as one of the top repository platforms available. The interface is another strong point-simple, polished and pleasant to use.
Cons
No negative feedback comes to mind about this code repository. The only real requirement is taking the time to learn the commands.

“visually appealing UI”
Pros
It has been really useful and getting around the platform feels easy. The interface is clean, simple and pleasant to use.
Cons
The search feature could be better since it isn't always very accurate and doesn't consistently return the right results.

“helpful trial run”
Pros
Adopting this software as a team has been really helpful especially since we can test how well it fits our workflow without stressing about extra fees. The compatibility has actually been pretty good. We also really enjoy the graphs for Agile development-they're genuinely useful. Overall it includes everything we need.
Cons
Since it comes with a lot of features even though they're all useful, it can sometimes be confusing to figure out where the things we need are located.

“CI/CD automation done right”
Pros
It's pretty easy to use and the built-in CI/CD features make it simple to automate unit testing and move a project through different environments so you can check quality all the way from testing to deployment.
Cons
For beginners who are still getting familiar with Git, unit testing or SSH, the initial setup can be quite overwhelming especially when trying to take full advantage of the built-in CI/CD features. But once you get used to it, the tools is efficient.

“Effective project management”
Pros
Using it for project management has been really effective because it lets us split a project into issues and milestones, involve multiple people on the same project and keep all the tasks organized on a single board. We can also track the time spent on each issue and the labeling system is very useful. It's a powerful tool and works really well.
Cons
Getting started does take some time since there's a bit of a training required but it ends up being worth the effort.

“helpful tool”
Pros
This version control tool has been really helpful for managing updates to our files. One thing that makes it especially useful is that it prevents merges whenever there are conflicts which saves us from mistakes and makes the whole process more efficient for the team.
Cons
No downsides have come up with this version control tool. It comes with a lot of features that are genuinely helpful for developers and make it very practical to use.

“Projects stay organized”
Pros
Saving my projects in the tool has been really useful because everything stays stored safely and in an organized way. Whenever I need to, I can download the files again and continue working without any trouble. I feel my projects are secure on this platform and I would definitely recommend others to use it to store their projects.
Cons
There is one issue sometimes: if I forget to add all the files to the GitLab project, then those files do not get stored and that causes problems for me for a while. Other than that, it works very well for anyone.

“helpful community”
Pros
Jumping in requires no effort at all, the community is helpful and on-site deployment is available.
Cons
The pricing around features tends to change and sometimes features get removed from one plan and moved to another. AGILE adoption also feels a bit weak.

“budget friendly platform”
Pros
I love that this tool is an open source platform which is a big plus since it's free to use and lets us create as many private repositories as we need without worrying about extra cost.
Cons
Even though it supports Git, the platform has had quite a few bugs and issues lately. Also, unlike the free community edition, the enterprise version comes at a cost.

“works great for teams”
Pros
We can invite a group of people to work together on a private project which is really useful. It also gives us strong control over our source code in one place.
Cons
I haven't run into any real problems with it so far though the configuration can feel complicated for new users.

“simplified our work”
Pros
Keeping track of Git repositories can be challenging but it makes the whole process a lot more manageable.
Cons
Most of the time, it is easy to work with but when you run into conflicts between two different versions of the same file, things can become complicated. That said it's pretty much part of working with version control in general.

“Anyone can it easily”
Pros
Being free is already a big plus and on top of that it works very efficiently and gets the job done without any uncertainty. I've never run into downtime which makes it dependable for regular use. The software also receives frequent and well-managed updates and maintenance is pretty basic. It integrates nicely with Jenkins for CI/CD and the setup process is simple enough that you don't need support, a setup team or any outside help to get started. Even someone with basic computer knowledge can have it running without much trouble. Integration with YouTrack for issue tracking and merge request tracking is also very convenient.
Cons
None of these are major dealbreakers but they do get annoying and could definitely be improved. When you edit the description on an open merge request, those edits also appear in the history so if someone makes multiple title changes while keeping the rest intact, it becomes messy. The code formatting inside the description box is also not very good and it can take a few attempts before it looks right. Searching is another weak area because there's no proper way to search using just a line of text. For example, if you're trying to find a commit or merge request and only remember part of the wording, it's difficult to locate. Undoing merges can also be pretty challenging when the merge is complex. On top of that, a PR shows icons for everyone involved but doesn't clearly indicate who actually did what. Even if five people only viewed the PR and made no other contribution, they still appear as participants. It would be much more useful if the system showed participant activity separately for each PR. Text-based search through the UI is practically nonexistent as well so if you search using text from part of a commit message, there's a good chance it still won't show up reliably.

“Moves ideas from concept to actual code”
Pros
It gives both developers and managers a really practical way to move through software iterations. We really appreciate the issue-first approach and how it helps take an idea from concept to actual code without a lot of friction.
Cons
It still lacks is a simple way to share software timelines with end users. In most cases, you have to connect a tool like Aha! and using both together ends up being pretty expensive.

“Top-tier for source control”
Pros
An outstanding platform in it's category for software management source control and code repository hosting. It's very flexible and makes it possible to handle a large codebase, collaborate efficiently, manage project source code and oversee deployments without hassle. It really makes day-to-day work much easier for developers.
Cons
This tool along with GitHub, delivers one of the best experiences available so I don't have any issues to point out with this tool.

“self-host saves us money”
Pros
This software delivers all the core features you would expect and even brings a few features of its own, all at a better price point especially when you self-host it. For a small development team, having a free self-hosted repository platform with all the advantages of git was incredibly valuable.
Cons
There really are not many downsides but one notable one is that it is not the biggest market leader. Even though it has a strong community, when you are troubleshooting issues or trying to understand how certain features behave, a lot of the search results tend to point to GH instead of this product.

“Outstanding for hosting own Git repositories”
Pros
Ability to host our own Git repositories makes this an outstanding platform. Even the free version comes with an impressive set of features and the level of configurability is excellent.

Some parts could still be improved such as the wiki feature but overall I honestly consider it a very complete product.
