“Team work made easy”

Cons
It is a bit pricey although the free trial covers the essential functions you need.

“powerful revision control features”
Pros
It covers all the essential revision control features you need for projects involving a small team.
Cons
Training people on it can be difficult when they're coming from CAD tools like Catia solidworks or Creo. The same goes for PCB designers moving over from KiCAD or Altium. A GUI would really help users who aren't working with a traditional codebase.

“Full project collaboration win”
Pros
It lets the team track progress and collaborate through every stage of a project, from start to finish.
Cons
It can be slow to load and it took us some time to learn it because the platform is naturally quite complex.

“Efficient project management platform”
Pros
The website layout is polished and simple to navigate which makes working in it very comfortable. It's also dependable and that really matters when handling projects especially company content.
Cons
Stronger sense of community is missing in this tool as compared to GitHub.

“tool that truly delivers”
Pros
Viewing stashed branches is quite easy and the repository filter options are really useful. There's still some room for improvement if they want to remain among the best tools in the market.
Cons
When I use GitHub and Bitbucket in my projects it feels like this is missing a few features that I've seen in other repository cloud platforms.

“genuinely amazing tool”
Pros
Being able to self-host it, along with the modern interface and all the customization options, makes it an excellent choice when we need a Git server.
Cons
We've been running it on-prem and because it's open source I'd only really recommend that setup if you have a spare server available since it can consume resources very heavily.

“collaboration and ci/cd boost”
Pros
It really helps our teams work together better with features like issue tracking, merge requests and inline comments. Its CI/CD tools also make the development workflow more efficient and help improve overall code quality.
Cons
The wide range of features can feel a bit overwhelming at first for new users so there is usually a phase where you are just learning it before getting fully comfortable with it.

“Affordable product”
Pros
Ease of use is one of my favourite things about this tool and the pricing offers excellent value for the features provided.
Cons
Only real problem has been the GitLab-Jira integration. It works on a per-project basis instead of globally and the plugin for self-hosted Jira with GitLab still doesn't feel very efficient yet. Aside from that this tool has been very good.

“GitLab review”
Pros
The way it works, really suits me. Creating a merge request is easy it supports GitLab plugins and the milestone system is especially helpful for keeping track of our progress.
Cons
Getting started with it can feel a little confusing and there's some difficulty in getting used to it but once you get used to it, it actually becomes enjoyable to use.

“simplified pipeline automation”
Pros
Two things I appreciate most about it is its branching and merging which has taken away a lot of the complexity for version control tasks and being able to build pipelines and automation is also valuable for me.
Cons
I don't find the software very user-friendly in other domains.

“gitlab covers the full pipeline”
Pros
We use it to host our source code and also as our platform for continuous integration and continuous deployment.
Cons
The tool is very complete and easy when we use the SaaS version. On the other hand, setting up and maintaining the on-premises version especially for high availability, security management and backups is much more complex.

“Built for project management”
Pros
It really shines with its pipelines. They work well for integrations, unit testing, external scanners and, most importantly in my case, security scans.
Cons
My only real complaint is the way project management is handled. The issue and incident structures don't feel complete to me and I wish there were more options available.
