Wonderful Creative Workflow

Pros

Being able to track the tasks and progress of multiple design/video projects that my team is working on is something I truly appreciate. It keeps me informed with the most up to date status.

Cons

As there are so many options are available and I feel like I have only scratched the surface of its use. I am sure there must be a way to disable the notifications since I receive numerous emails from the program on a daily basis.

The best tool for marketing and Service teams with document management.

Pros

Implementing custom views on this platform is so simple and easy. The option to customize the dashboard and template fields is very useful. Sharing files with different teams and managing them becomes effortless.

Cons

The interface can be a bit confusing and could use some improvement to make it simple. Implementing multiple menus would be beneficial. It would also be great to have immediate customer support in case any glitches occur.

Indispensable component in our project management.

Pros

InMotion Ignite has become crucial for us in terms of project request intake, collaboration, proof reviews and final asset delivery. With our Sales, Marketing and Product Development teams being decentralized due to remote work during the pandemic, we rely on inMotion Ignite daily to collaborate on project requests, review and approve proof designs, and deliver final assets. I absolutely love the sleek and intuitive user interface. Before inMotion Ignite, we were overwhelmed with constant emails and version control was non-existent, which led to potential approval of incorrect files. Now everything is organized, clearly labeled and we can easily trace our approval history.

Cons

I wish admins had the ability to create tasks/proofs without requiring stakeholders to fill out a project request form to receive their final deliverables. Sometimes it would be convenient to do this on behalf of the requestor but currently, it's not possible.

Pros

I really like how easy it is to determine project deadlines, identify reviewers and identify any bottlenecks.

Cons

when I have a large number of proofs (20+) and I can't rearrange them in the desired order, it cause frustration. Uploading them one by one is time consuming.

Thoughts From a Fast Paced Non Profit

Pros

This software has significantly streamlined our process. Previously we used Word, Excel and email to track our creative teams work intake. InMotion has provided us with an automated high-level overview of departmental tasks which was possible to some extent before but required a manual process. It has also allowed us to establish request parameters, saving time for our marketing managers and reducing headaches for the entire team.

Cons

The learning curve during the initial onboarding process is quite sharp. The most consistent feedback I receive during training is that certain elements are not intuitive such as connecting team members and reviewers to specific parts of the jobs.

Ignite Your Creativity

Pros

The ability to share art proofs with anyone and gather their reviews, comments and approvals online from anywhere is what I like the most about inMotion/Ignite. This is particularly crucial during the pandemic as it allows us to continue working and proofing in real-time. We use Ignite to assign and track projects as well as generate reports on our progress and the number of projects in progress and completed.

Cons

The only aspect I dislike about Ignite (and I've heard this complaint from several sales reps) is the inability to review a proof using a cell phone. An error message prompts users to open Ignite on a laptop or desktop to proof a file, which is not always practicable. Our sales team may be at home or in a location without computer access which makes it difficult to review projects. We're hoping this feature will be available in the near future for Ignite.

The Right Tool for a Marketing & Creative Services Team

Pros

Our department, consisting of around 30 people including our entire marketing team and a creative group of 7 individuals has experienced a significant improvement in workflow efficiency thanks to inMotion. From concept to file delivery, our creative work now flows much more smoothly, resulting in faster turnaround times and reduced errors. All stakeholders can review the work, leading to collaborative improvements in our messaging to customers and ensuring consistent branding and core values. Additionally, as a hosted software solution, it has enabled us to create campaigns, review and approve work from anywhere, which has been critical since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cons

Like most software there isn't a single solution or platform that does EVERYTHING. Instead of focusing on what inMotion doesn't do I would recommend users/customers spend time researching and evaluating multiple products, narrow down the options and then reach out to 2-3 companies for demonstrations. This proved priceless for us in choosing the best overall solution for our needs and allowing all users to have a say and provide input.

A complete and comprehensive solution for our department and company

Pros

One of the many fantastic aspects of inMotion is its comprehensiveness. When I explored solutions for managing requests, work and marketing approvals across multiple departments, inMotion stood out as the only platform that easily handled it all. Its intuitive interface ensures that anyone can easily navigate the program and they continuously seek user feedback to improve and enhance the software.

Cons

I can't criticize or even provide constructive criticism about the program. I occasionally speak with members of the product development team and I know that many of the features I desire are currently being developed. It is only a matter of time before all the features I would like to see are going to be there

inMotion ignite is a great choice for any creative team

Pros

The route templates are my favorite feature. You can customize as many as you need and use them for various types of approvals. With just one click, you can send a review to multiple people in multiple approval tiers. The proofing environment is excellent as all comments are gathered in one place. You can involve anyone with an inMotion account in the conversation. We have found it to be much better than sending feedback and versions through emails. The proofing environment allows you to view versions and comments side by side, ensuring that all the changes are addressed.

Cons

It would be convenient to have a way to assign members to tasks in bulk. For instance if a project has 40 tasks for now I have to individually click on the members name 40 times to assign them. The same goes for due dates. Without using "start dates" bulk-assigning due dates is not possible.

A Great Creative Partner

Pros

The flexibility and customizable features of this platform are truly remarkable. There are numerous ways to construct, organize and manage projects, catering to various work styles and processes.

Cons

The only drawback is the need to submit a service ticket when adding or changing request forms. We've requested more autonomy over this feature. I am also aware that they're working on a form builder feature for end users so this concern will likely be resolved soon.

If you don't have it, you need it.

Pros

As the project manager of our department, it is my responsibility to meet deadlines and oversee project details. Ignite simplifies this process by providing a detailed view of each project and campaign. Here are some specific aspects I appreciate: Reviewing each request and gathering additional information before involving the design team. Uploading new versions of file assets without deleting the previous ones. Having everything consolidated in one place, eliminating the need to search for project information in emails. Our team rarely misses deadlines now that our projects are well-organized. The ease of proofing and the ability to track when reviewers view proofs. The tier system streamlines the review process, making it effortless to involve multiple reviewers. Managing extensive campaigns with numerous pieces and deadlines while keeping everything neatly organized with groups, projects, and tasks. Stakeholders find it incredibly user-friendly for requesting and reviewing projects.

Cons

Sometimes the system experiences lag, resulting in delayed refresh after making changes. The only other aspect I can think of is the cost.

inMotion ignite named Employee of the Month

Pros

Ignite plays a key role as an invaluable team member within our creative department. It has streamlined our creative process, freeing up approximately five hours per week that were previously spent on administrative tasks. The extensive automation options have been very helpful. For instance, Ignite sends reminders for approaching deadlines, eliminating the need for constant reminders to my team. The softwares seamlessness is unmatched. All communication is merged in one place, eliminating the need to search through emails, hallway conversations or messaging apps. All relevant parties are informed and involved in the discussions. The proofing routes allow me to monitor our progress and ensure we stay on track. In the past, circulating proofs was a difficult task but now, thanks to the simple and efficient proofing module, it has become hassle free. The time it takes to complete a proof has been significantly reduced compared to when we used hard copies, and some team members have even expressed enjoyment when using the software and look forward to their next proofing assignments. I also appreciate the organizational options provided by the work tiers. It's effortless to keep track of the who, what, and when of more than twenty projects occurring simultaneously. Lastly, the customer service is exceptional. Our representative is a true professional, knowledgeable, friendly, reliable and focused. It's clear that ignite prioritizes ensuring 100% customer satisfaction. And needless to say, we are indeed satisfied!

Cons

Learning the software takes some time because there are numerous remarkable features available to enhance your workflow. I initially thought I would become proficient within a few days of exploring the platform but it actually took a bit longer due to its so many capabilities. It's not really a drawback but more of a tip to expect a learning curve. You can customize the organization to suit your needs, so it may require some troubleshooting to discover how to utilize the software for optimal benefits.

Great platform for our team

Pros

Being one of the administrators responsible for assigning projects to our team, I rely on this product daily. Its robustness is impressive, enabling us to maintain project organization and improve the workflow between developers and requestors. The multiple views and proofs/reviews dashboard are some of the features I find most beneficial.

Cons

The only thing I dislike is that tasks and projects cannot be viewed on a single page. Additionally, it would be great if the search function had more advanced features to facilitate easier project retrieval.

Efficiencies and productivity

Pros

The proofing functions of this software are my favorite. Having all edits, comments and changes available in one place is truly wonderful.

Cons

I wish we had implemented a predefined workflow instead of improvising as we go. It would also be great if the program could receive requests in the same format as our manually inputted projects. The fact that we can only deliver final files for projects initiated through a request but not for manually inputted ones (such as during a consulting meeting), makes it challenging to establish a consistent workflow. It is difficult for me to keep track of production, delivery, etc. once the project is approved for press.

A step up from regular inmotion

Pros

Setting up tiers for reviews is something I really like. The work doesn't move to the next tier until everyone in the previous one has approved it. It is really simple to convert a project into a proof and I like that it's merged into one page. In regular Inmotion, you would have to navigate through multiple pages just to access your proof.

Cons

The previous version of inMotion listed projects and later separated them with alternating background colors, making it easy to differentiate between different projects. It also displayed thumbnail images of the projects for easy identification. In contrast, Ignite presents a single, disordered list where the companys ID numbers dominate, resulting in a disorganized view. There are also too many emails which can be disabled but the default setting shouldn't send me emails for every action.

Working Out the Kinks

Pros

I am happy that our everyday customers can track the progress of their projects. Furthermore the reporting feature is something I also like as it was not available in our previous database.

Cons

For our specific needs and time-saving purposes I prefer more customization. It would be ideal to have a database specifically tailored to our company since we handle print management for our customers as well. It is challenging to achieve this level of customization in IMN based on our experiences. Additionally, we work with large files that IMN cannot handle.

So far so good with Ignite!

Pros

We recently transitioned from InMotion Classic to Ignite and the added features have been outstanding. I particularly enjoy the ease of creating tasks, tagging projects, utilizing campaign forms and many other new additions.

Cons

We are still trying to figure out the glitches while getting familiar with the new software, but nothing too serious stands out. The one feature my team used in Classic that is missing in Ignite is the ability to mark up and reject a request.
