“Miro = Clarity and Progress

Pros

Miro has been a game-changer for me when it comes to visualizing my projects. It allows me to create a clear representation of different aspects be it a high-level overview a timeline or even an email sequence for clients. With Miro the stress of visualizing complex ideas diminishes enabling me to focus on the tasks at hand. It's like having a wall full of electronic cork boards that I can easily review edit and update whenever needed. I've integrated Miro into my daily routine relying on it multiple times throughout the day.

The more I use Miro the more I discover solutions to the challenges I encounter during my work.

The provided templates make it incredibly easy to create complex diagrams flow charts and project plans in a fraction of the time it would take to build them from scratch in other software. It also offers clever features like voting hidden areas for discussions and edit history.

Cons

Some templates can be challenging to use such as when attempting to create an org chart and struggling to add elements beyond the provided 'boxes.'

It is advisable to have sufficient RAM on your PC/laptop when screen sharing and collaborating with a large number of people (over 100) simultaneously.

A minor complaint is that when attempting to delete one of my tabs it is automatically selected instead of being deleted. This is a minor inconvenience.

Miros most powerful feature is its ability to have online meetings and project discussions. It comes with all of the tools we need to collaborate on tasks and projects, and it works in real-time. We are quite pleased with our decision to make this programme a part of our work system.

I do admit that there are a few bugs with the system.

Miro is not yet considered an industry standard which can lead to challenges when working with students who prefer their university software (which may be inferior) or Google Docs (which lacks certain features). Integrating familiar software like Slack Google Docs and calendars could facilitate smoother adoption for teams unfamiliar with Miro.

Unfortunately I am unable to spell check on my iMac when using this program. Additionally having a toggle option similar to Notion's toggle list would be beneficial allowing me to open and close a list within a mind map for a cleaner appearance.
