everything in one place

Pros

Getting started with it was simple and it covers all our day-to-day tasks. It works really well as a one-stop place for everything we need.

Cons

Up to this point it has been working really well for our team. It makes work more manageable and keeps everything looking organized which fits nicely in an office setup.

visual boards transformed our workflow

Pros

Switching from spreadsheets to monday.com completely changed how I manage my team. Back when we were piecing things together with status updates and constant follow-ups, it felt draining all the time. Once I started using the visual boards, everything became much clearer in one place. The color coding, structure and overall layout made it instantly understandable. My team stopped wondering what they were supposed to tackle next and I stopped dreading our Monday morning check-ins. That benefit alone made the move worth it.

Cons

There are still two areas where monday.com could improve: integrations and pricing. A few third-party integrations feel more limited than I expected from a platform at this level and some workflows still need more manual work than they really should. It is not a huge problem but it does become a small recurring annoyance. Pricing is the other thing to watch because the cost starts climbing as your team grows and some features that feel pretty necessary are locked behind higher-tier plans. It is not enough to make me leave but it is definitely something to consider before signing on.

Fun and simple task tracking

Pros

I find it so easy to use it almost feels like playing a game. The interface is clean and user-friendly so organizing tasks, monitoring progress and working together with a team all feel very natural.

Cons

The monthly cost can be high for individual projects. A lot of important features, including automations, integrations and advanced views, are only available on the more expensive plans which can make it costly for small teams or solo users.

powerful automation and templates

Pros

The automation capabilities in this project management tool can be taken really far which has been a huge plus. On top of that, there's a massive range of features and templates available so there's a lot to work with depending on what you need.

Cons

Working with the customer support team has been frustrating. At one stage during onboarding, we were even given misleading information about certain features and how they worked.

Platform that scales

Pros

Monday.com is a powerful platform that can keep up as your needs expand. It scales well and there are plenty of helpful articles and support resources, along with people who can guide you while you build everything out.

Cons

The biggest downside is the learning curve. Getting the software set up in a way that truly works for your team takes a lot of upfront conversation, not just about how your workflow operates now but also about how you want it to work in an ideal situation. In that sense, the software really pushes teams to have deeper discussions about improving their processes.

Simple workflows for teams

Pros

One of the best parts is its simple, visually appealing interface, paired with strong workflow automation that helps teams manage projects and collaborate more efficiently.

Cons

A notable drawback is that some advanced features and admin controls are locked behind higher-tier plans which can become costly as your team expands.

Powerful integrations

Pros

Keeping up has been impressive because it's always being updated and improved with new features. It works really well for organising workflows, automating repetitive tasks and bringing everything together in one place. The level of customisation is a big plus too since boards can be adjusted to match the way your business operates and the integrations make connecting it with the other tools we already rely on very convenient.

Cons

There are a lot of tools and options packed into the platform so it can feel a little overwhelming in the beginning. It definitely takes some time to understand how everything connects, how the features work together and the best way to put them into practice.

It can feel expensive when I'm mostly sticking to the basic tools.

colorful workspace upgrade

Pros

Switching to Monday.com has been a really positive change compared with Salesforce. It's user-friendly, visually appealing and the colorful layout makes everything much easier to read. I also like that you can build multiple workspaces and link them together. The templates are helpful too although I'd love to see more new ones added.

Cons

It does take some effort because you mostly have to learn through videos. There seems to be a video for nearly every situation but having to watch, pause and then try the steps inside it adds too many extra steps. I really wish they offered direct customer support instead of relying so heavily on video tutorials.

Quick adoption of the software

Pros

Across my last two roles, this software helped turn manual work into much more efficient processes in both places. The automation features make it far simpler to keep workflows moving and the platform is very user-friendly so teams can get comfortable with it quickly.

Cons

There's some lag when automations are running which can be a bit annoying. It also has a few limitations around logic and board structure, like not being able to use "or" statements. The board setup can feel restrictive in some cases but with proper planning, it usually doesn't cause too much trouble.

Simple boards and teamwork

Pros

From day one this has been really effective for keeping projects and tasks organized. Setting up boards feels very simple, progress is easy to follow and it helps keep everything aligned across the team. Being able to mention teammates directly inside tasks makes collaboration feel smooth. It's also very helpful for managing deadlines and maintaining clear visibility into delivery dates. Another big advantage is having the option to attach and organize different file types.. images, videos and links.. all in one place.

Cons

A downside I've run into is with subitems. Customizing the columns for each subitem isn't always very simple which makes detailed task breakdowns feel less flexible than I expected. I'd also appreciate clearer or more proactive alerts and notifications when a task is getting close to its due date.

Clear visibility and flexible workflows

Pros

One of the best things is the visibility and structure it brings to different workstreams. It makes it simple to understand what is currently active, who is responsible for each task, what the priorities are and exactly where things stand in the workflow. The platform feels simple and adaptable so it works well for different teams and use cases without getting unnecessarily complicated. The dashboards, status tracking and automation tools also help keep projects moving and cut down on the need for constant manual follow-up.

Cons

it can start to feel cluttered when boards and workflows are not set up in a consistent way. If there are too many columns, automations or duplicate boards, it becomes more difficult to keep one clean source of truth. Some of the more advanced dashboard and reporting features also require time to set up properly so the platform tends to work best when there is clear ownership and some governance around how it is managed.

Helpful automations for teams

Pros

Monday.com is simple to work with, very flexible and the automations are a big help. The platform gets frequent updates that continue to improve how it functions. It's an excellent tool for managing team projects.

Cons

I'd also like to see more options in the My Work tab to make things more organized.

Good workflow clarity

Pros

Keeping internal work organized has been a real step forward. It gives a clear, detailed view of workflows and how tasks are progressing over time. The dashboards are simple to use and help teams review data and monitor KPIs effectively.

Cons

The only issue I ran into was the fairly steep learning curve when I was just getting started with the platform.

manageable workflows

Pros

Running my team has been much more manageable now. Setting up boards is simple and it's really convenient to see everything in one place at a glance. The automation tools have been a huge help too.. after getting them configured, they save me hours every single week. The templates are also very handy since I didn't need to build everything from the ground up. From the first day, the whole platform felt logical and easy to follow.

Cons

Pricing feels a little steep for a smaller team. A few of the more advanced features are only available on the higher-tier plans which seems somewhat unfair. I've also noticed occasional slow loading times although they haven't been a major problem. Support can take a while to respond as well; one time I had to wait about a full day to hear back.

convenient boards and gantt insights

Pros

The board flexibility is a big plus. Once you have a clear idea of what you need, you can configure a board to track just about any kind of business operation. The benchmarking features in the Gantt charts are especially useful.

Cons

The newer "Sidekick" AI features feel more like AI added for the sake of it. I still haven't seen much practical value from it and it adds clutter to an interface that can already feel crowded depending on how your boards are set up. The "Vibe Board" also still has a long way to go before it can create work at the level a person can produce with enough time and thought.

Simple collaboration hub

Pros

Getting started is simple thanks to its clean, simple layout and that makes onboarding new users feel simple. The flexible workflows and customizable boards also make it easier for teams to stay aligned and collaborate efficiently across different projects.

Cons

Costs can climb pretty fast as the team gets bigger which may become a concern for businesses that are scaling. On top of that some of the more advanced features and automations feel a bit too complex at first and take time to fully learn.

Versatile boards and scheduling

Pros

Being able to create multiple boards has been one of my favorite parts. I can schedule everything I need and having it all in one place through custom workspaces keeps things organized. There's also a lot of flexibility in what you can do, like adding files, links, subitems and more which makes the platform really useful for daily work.

Cons

The part I wasn't happy with was customer support. It was really difficult to actually get in touch with someone and since we use Monday every day, I wish they had a team that could regularly meet with businesses using the platform, talk through issues as they come up and help work toward solutions.

User-friendly and more powerful with ai

Pros

I've had the chance to run a few projects in Monday and one thing I can say is that the platform is very user-friendly. With the addition of AI, it feels even more powerful and capable than before.

Cons

Some parts are still tricky to work with especially calculations, formula columns and automations that depend on those types of columns. Mirror columns also can't read formula columns which makes certain setups more limiting.
