Unmatched portfolio visibility

Pros

One thing that really impressed our team is how user friendly it is even while handling fairly complex projects. Adoption happened very quickly because people immediately understood how to structure their work without spending a lot of time building out processes first. The digital workspace makes project management much more manageable for us and delivers strong value by giving us clear project visibility, financial tracking and portfolio oversight without adding unnecessary complexity. A few features have made a particularly big difference. The workload and capacity management views provide real-time insight into team availability and project demand which helps us rebalance resources before utilization problems start affecting delivery timelines. The built-in time tracking and budget-versus-actual reporting also help us measure effort against project budgets more accurately, improve forecasting and catch cost overruns early. On top of that we rely heavily on cross-board dashboards and portfolio overviews because they bring project and financial data into a single view, making it much simpler to monitor portfolio performance, track tasks and share key updates with leadership without having to manually create reports.

Cons

At the same time it does not include native support for overhead allocation tracking, depreciation schedules, complex billing or earned value management. That gap creates extra work for projects that require deeper financial and advanced performance management. Because of this, we still have to rely on supplemental financial processes and external reporting methods to fully handle cost performance, revenue recognition and detailed project control across our initiatives.

needs minor tweaks

Pros

The platform is user friendly and visually well organized which makes team workflows simple to manage. It's flexible, effective and highly customizable so it adapts well to different ways of working. Collaboration and task tracking are both handled nicely and the automations are genuinely useful for cutting down on repetitive work. Overall it's a great project management tool that still has some room for improvement.

Cons

Some of the more advanced features come with a learning curve and can take a while to fully understand. The pricing can also get expensive especially when you're building out a team for a specific project.

Effective reminder system for teamwork

Pros

It works really well for setting reminders all year long and keeping different departments aligned when collaborating on them.

Cons

At times it seems a bit confusing especially when I need to reassign a reminder to another user but it's still useful overall.

Detailed team collaboration tracking

Pros

monday.com delivers excellent project management capabilities and supports strong team collaboration. It makes tracking every project dependable organized and consistently effective.

Cons

Accessing the full feature set requires moving to more expensive pricing plans. On top of that the customization process feels slow and not very user friendly.

Tailored custom boards

Pros

Being able to tailor boards and groups for project management is a huge plus and the option to build a summary dashboard across all projects is really useful. The whole platform feels highly customizable.

Cons

One thing that could be better is making board summaries easier to create without needing to mirror the boards.

Powerful automations

Pros

The clean visual layout makes it simple to keep track of tasks at a glance. The boards are highly customizable, the collaboration tools are strong and the automations help save a lot of time.

Cons

I feel like its pricing can feel a bit high for smaller teams compared with more basic alternatives. On rare occasions, dashboards may lag or not refresh in real time right away.

fairly priced tool

Pros

One of the best parts of monday.com is how flexible it is. I also appreciate that they don't show off a useful feature and then make you pay extra for each individual app. Another big plus is the variety of views you can set up so if one person prefers a Kanban board and someone else wants a spreadsheet-style layout, both options can work side by side.

Cons

That same flexibility does come with a fairly steep learning curve. Since there are so many features and moving parts, it takes time to learn how everything works.

Visual workflow automation

Pros

Our team relies on it to tailor projects to the way we work and manage everything with very little effort. The interface looks professional and attractive which makes it more engaging to use and easier to navigate day to day. It also puts a lot of focus on automation and that has been a major advantage for our business operations.

Cons

The biggest downside is the premium pricing which can make it hard to access for every budget. Reporting also has a few issues here and there and that part could definitely use some updates.

Fantastic team planning hub

Pros

Such an amazing and really simple tool for planning and organizing work with the team and it makes collaborating on projects together in one place very convenient.

Cons

At first getting familiar with the tool was a bit confusing but after using it a few times, it definitely felt worth trying if you need a way to plan and categorize work.

Standout customer support available

Pros

The biggest advantage for me is how flexible it is. On top of that the customer support is excellent and it really helps boost the team's productivity.

Cons

If I had to mention one thing that could be better, it would be the lack of AI in the search function because I think the platform would benefit a lot from having it.

feature rich platform

Pros

This platform is very easy to use and it scales nicely as your needs grow and you want to add more features over time.

Cons

The per-user pricing feels pretty expensive for what's included and the newer AI credit system adds even more cost if you want to make full use of it even though it is genuinely helpful.

easy to customize

Pros

Customization is the biggest plus for me. I can adjust workflows exactly how I need them without having any technical background. Collaboration features such as comments, file sharing and tags also keep communication clear and flowing well.

Cons

Getting started does take a bit of time when you're new especially when it comes to setting up and fine-tuning workflows. On top of that some of the more advanced automation and reporting features are only available on the higher-tier plans.

Confusing tabs, cluttered layout

Pros

During the trial the product felt very hard to manage. Even with the color-coding, it didn't seem very user-friendly especially for someone just getting started. It wasn't nearly as simple as Slack which seems clean, crisp and immediately clear to use. With this, everything felt confusing and it took a long time to adjust. I never really felt productive using it and I ended up losing a lot of information while switching from one test to another which made the whole experience even more confusing.

Cons

The tabs really didn't work for me at all. If anything, they made everything more confusing and the color-coding only added to that even while I was trying to follow the instructions on how to use it. It all just felt like too much. I prefer tools that are simplified and actually make things easier to manage and this one didn't do that for me at all.

Visual project tracking win

Pros

Across our large zoo this tool gave us a very visual and user friendly manner to handle projects and day-to-day operational work. The customizable boards helped us keep tabs on maintenance tasks, facility upgrades and initiatives involving multiple departments, while also improving team communication and making accountability much clearer.

Cons

A few of the more advanced features and automations take some time to set up properly and bigger boards can get hard to manage if you do not establish a clear structure early on.

adaptable project dashboards

Pros

There's a lot of flexibility when building dashboards so you can tailor them to display exactly the information you need. The wide range of column options is especially helpful and having both a table view and a calendar view makes it much more practical to manage work in different ways.

Cons

One thing that can be frustrating is that anyone you invite to collaborate on a board has to create an account first and some clients don't always like that extra step.

real-time team visibility

Pros

Across our institution monday.com has become a key tool for bringing every department together and helping us collaborate better when planning and managing day-to-day operations. The experience has been highly productive for us especially in supporting our goal of keeping the institution running efficiently. It offers excellent digital planning and organization tools that help us map out our activities properly which has made it much easier to keep operations on track without disruptions. With it in place, our teams and departments stay connected, aligned and focused on delivering strong learning and institutional management outcomes. The visual dashboards are especially useful because they let us track the status and progress of our work in real time. It also includes very effective information-sharing features, making it simple to send live operational updates to everyone and keep the entire institution informed.

Cons

It was very simple and user friendly and the overall experience has matched exactly what we expected. We have not noticed any performance issues or weaknesses in its features and honestly we are pleased with everything about it.

Easy setup for design teams

Pros

It fit well with our design organization especially since it was simple to set up and tailor around the workflow we already had in place. The interface is user friendly and moving between features is quick and easy without any frustrating lag. Its task management tools can also be adjusted to match whatever project we are working on at the time which lets us handle multiple design projects without constantly reworking all of our original settings.

Cons

Up to this point we really have not run into any problems. It has improved how we manage operations, made collaboration between teams and departments much more connected and helped everyone work together more like one unit. Honestly we do not have anything negative to say about it.

Visual teamwork that delivers

Pros

Keeping our team aligned has become a lot simpler. We rely on it to manage tasks, customer service follow-ups, phone messages, internal projects and ongoing work across different areas of the business. Everything is visual, easy to update and clear for everyone on the team to follow. It has cut down on things slipping through emails or scattered notes and it makes following up on work that needs attention much more manageable.

Cons

Getting everything configured properly can take a bit of time especially when setting up boards, automations and workflows that match your specific business process. The platform is very flexible which is a big plus but that also means it takes some effort to organize it well so it does not end up feeling cluttered. Once that setup is done correctly, it works really well.

Too complicated for simple needs

Pros

It comes with plenty of integrations and automations which help with tasks like connecting to Mailchimp. It also does a good job of storing and managing a large amount of information.

Cons

The application is not very user-friendly because it feels overly detailed and complicated for what should be a simple database. On top of that the help resources are not very clear.
