We are glad to have invested in such a large system for our growing business; it gives a sense of security moving forward. The software is not really made for small companies but helps me nonetheless and is ready to be scaled up as soon as I have an opportunity. All my business needs, like CRM, ERP, and ecommerce, are neatly integrated with each other thanks to Netsuite. It also offers a central location for all of our data to be stored for easy organization and access. All my third-party apps interface well with Netsuite modules, which makes my job easier, especially when it comes to eCommerce channels like Amazon cloud services.

Cons

The project management software is great, but it is updated very differently than NetSuite’s ERP, for example. This basically means you get stuck in a version for a very long time once you have implemented it in your online store and customized it as per your needs. The software kind of locks in for stability, I guess, but that poses the problem of our web store being routinely out of date, and then there are the compatibility issues that arise once they do finally upgrade the system. I can’t really explain how frustrating this is.

Pros

Once we knew what we wanted, it was extremely standardized and straightforward to execute NetSuite in the firm.

I work in the software development department of my company and personally appreciate the level of customization possible with Netsuite thanks to a bit of coding. With the help of their excellent technical support team, I have been able to tweak all the functions of the product to match our needs and introduce new and experimental modules for testing. It has a great documentation module with a lot of useful features, and our managers appreciate using it for their work. It is not that easy to learn but not impossible either, and the benefits easily outweigh the learning curve.

Cons

For me, the reporting module is the worst. Although others have not reported the same frustration, I chose to use another software for reporting functions since Netsuite is not great at this one module. It is quite possible that I require a bit more learning in order to use it effectively, but not learning it at all seems okay to me currently. They make constant adjustments that affect our workflow, but we are not made aware of the changes or what to expect. Random error messages pop up without any issues that interrupt our work and make us search the internet about them.

Pros

One of the most important reasons I was in favor of NetSuite was because of its remote access capabilities. It has made me break free of the need to be in the office to complete my work, and I can just login at any time, anyplace I want, and be done with it. Our system has been completely overhauled due to the implementation of NetSuite, and we now do everything on it. Our use cases include HR management, inventory and resource management, billing, and procurement. NetSuite has been satisfactorily working for us in all the modules and is one of the best software products in the field.

Cons

It is a good thing that the modules can be restricted to limit access and keep workflow smooth for everyone, but it completely locks the modules to that specific area or department. Theres no way to easily access a module someone else has access to without getting formal permissions, which is a waste of time in my opinion. It has an okay reporting module, which I dont use very much, but from what Ive heard, a little update to its look and feel wont hurt.

I have been using NetSuite for the last two-and-a-half years, and it has been smooth sailing for me in terms of actual use. It has given me first-hand experience of a software used to not just manage my tasks but also my team’s tasks. It has helped us increase productivity by making it easy for our company and its sister company to share important information. The level of integration we have is the reason we are able to execute complex tasks and take on more work.

The software is not fully unutilized at our company due to the fact that we are not using it for its business strategy and resource planning. So, a lot of its features go unused. It has been suggested that I implement some other software, but this will also be a challenge because adapting to new software will take time and training to be fully efficient. Our company is small and not very tech-savvy, so I believe we will stick to this for some time.
