flexible project handling

Pros

Adding projects and tasks is flexible and hassle-free and I find the time-tracking tool especially outstanding.

Cons

Unfortunately, we ended up losing our maximum discount after experiencing a glitch during the payment process which was really frustrating.

Flexible time-tracking and calendar

Pros

Time-tracking options are flexible and I find the calendar layouts easy to read and navigate.

Cons

We basically used this just for tracking time almost all the time and for that single function the subscription has become far too pricey for us. It might be an excellent project management platform but since we only rely on it for time tracking, the cost doesn't make sense.

affordable all-in-one solution

Pros

It's genuinely the most affordable solution for tracking time, handling projects and generating invoices automatically. Even though some core functions could use improvement, I still rely on it for producing neat, professional invoices.

Cons

It misses several project management capabilities I need, like the ability to add descriptive text or briefs directly to projects. Ideally I'd like a single-screen view showing a project summary alongside the task list so I don't have to jump between pages.

easy and dependable tool

Pros

Using the platform is easy and I value having direct chat access to the support team whenever needed.

Cons

I'd appreciate a more convenient text-editing tool inside the invoice section, things like bold, italics and font size controls would make formatting much easier.

Clean user-friendly interface

Pros

Accurate tracking is crucial for my business and client billing and I find the interface clean, modern and very user-friendly while offering a wide range of reporting options.

Cons

Price is always a consideration. We're paying nearly EUR2,000 a year for this which feels like a steep figure. Still, we end up with a solution that meets our requirements.

easy setup and tracking

Pros

Setting it up and using it is extremely easy and it helps me monitor how much time I and my team spend on projects, both in-office and remotely.

Cons

Occasionally it acts a little buggy though I do appreciate that regular updates arrive to address problems and typically fix any issues pretty quickly.

simple project organization

Pros

interface is convenient and I find the project views organized in a way that makes a lot of sense. The learning curve feels fair and I can easily teach others how it works.

Cons

When I manage a large number of projects, everything quickly feels chaotic and I lose the overall overview. I'd love the option to add customizable tags to organize projects better and avoid that clutter.

all-in-one freelance platform

Pros

After using this tool extensively to manage my freelance work, I'm comfortable recommending it to anyone who needs an all-in-one project management platform. Its user-friendly layout makes organizing tasks easy and the accurate time-tracking means I bill clients correctly. Because invoicing is tightly integrated, I spend far less time handling billing. The collaboration features also make chatting and sharing with clients and teammates effortless which boosts how much I get done. Whether I'm balancing several freelance gigs or running a small business and trying to simplify processes, this app has proven dependable and has noticeably smoothed out my workflow and improved how projects turn out.

Cons

okay so.. I do have only one recurring issue: the app won't export Gantt charts directly into Excel. That limitation gets annoying when I depend on Excel for deeper analysis or to tweak timelines further. The tool does let me export Gantt visuals in other formats like PDF or image files but not being able to go straight to an editable Excel sheet feels like an unnecessary hurdle. For those of us who work regularly with spreadsheets, that missing export option can slow down the way we manipulate or present project schedules.

Simple task organization

Pros

We really like how simple it is to add new tasks while keeping all our open items neatly organized in one place.

Cons

I'd appreciate a feature that links meetings to their related tasks so they aren't kept as two distinct lists which would make tracking everything much more feasible overall.

Excellent Tool for Small Team Planning

Pros

As someone who values my team and treats them like family I appreciate how Paymo's expense and time tracking tools help me ensure accurate payments to everyone. The software provides a range of features including billing invoicing expense tracking time tracking project planning task planning and tracking and even offers ample storage space. I find it especially useful that I can select different permissions for each user I invite.

Cons

One minor drawback I've noticed is that the time tracker doesn't automatically shut off or pause if left running accidentally or when I step away from the screen. Additionally while the software is robust overall the project management interface could be improved to match the quality of the other features. It's also worth mentioning that Gantt charts are not included in the small office plan.

Paymo has been constantly evolving and keeping up with the market as well as our business needs

Pros

The time-tracking feature of Paymo fits right in with our current designer workflow. Due to this, I have been able to determine the real time spent working so that clients may see how their money is being used. It also helps the clients know where project costs need to go up.

Cons

I have been using Paymo for 8+ years without giving it a second thought, but they have recently started charging for Gantt charts, which was a little surprising. It used to be an all-inclusive package, but since they started with this paywall, I wonder where they’ll go next.

Perfect solution for project management with appealing UI/UX

Pros

I enjoy Paymos adaptability. Because it makes major project planning easier, each day is customized. And we can see exactly what has to be done for each client on the main screen, which helps promote greater productivity. Paymo has a neat UI as well.

Cons

I would like to see the "Progress" options enhanced. We continuously have hundreds of jobs pending or stuck since, as a design/web development company, we have a lot of projects that need to get approved by multiple individuals. To make our home page less congested, it would be helpful if there could be a section created exclusively for stalled, pending, and follow-up jobs.

The Perfect Project Management Tool for Small Businesses

Pros

As someone who has tried numerous project management software tools both for personal and professional use I can confidently say that Paymo is the ideal solution for my small marketing coaching business. It offers a seamless user experience and provides features that truly add value. One feature I particularly appreciate is the ability to view all my projects on a single Kanban board which has been a significant upgrade compared to other tools I've used. Paymo also offers flexible viewing options allowing me to switch between list table board and Gantt views effortlessly. The timetracking feature with visual representation is another highlight for me. Overall Paymo has exceeded my expectations and is definitely worth trying.

Cons

While Paymo offers a fantastic range of features there are a couple of drawbacks. One limitation is the inability to invite collaborators or reviewers without paying for additional users unlike some other platforms like Asana. Additionally the name Paymo can be misleading as it may give the impression that it's a financial tool rather than a project management tool. This can potentially affect its market positioning.
