“Roadmunk helped me a lot
Pros
Roadmunk's ease of use and versatile presentation options, like Swimlane and Timeline, make it ideal for internal presentations.
Cons
I understand the motive behind it, but I believe the starter plan should offer more features.

“Roadmunk is excellent
Pros
Roadmunk is easy to use for collaboration. It makes story mapping products and customer journeys with stakeholders and developers incredibly easy. Using a user story map provides context to requirements within the broader product scope.
Cons
Integrating with Jira can be a bit tricky at times, but apart from that, it is a fantastic tool.

“The best tool I've found to manage prioritization.
Pros
As a PM with numerous internal clients, all of whom believe their projects are top priority (naturally!), Roadmunk has been invaluable for showcasing the sheer number of projects in progress and facilitating prioritization discussions.
Cons
Due to security regulations in my industry, setting up Jira integrations as desired has been challenging, but this is not a fault of the software.

“MIssing parts
Pros
It looks very polished and is easy to use during workshops.
Cons
In our use with external customers, we have encountered limitations: insufficient user types, the inability for customers to contribute directly to our roadmap, and a lack of image support in descriptions and comments.

“Great design, value for money and approach to the work with data
Pros
I really appreciate the design, especially since the exported roadmaps look clean and presentable when shared with external stakeholders. I also like the approach to working with data, where each feature has multiple fields, allowing you to organize and view your dataset across different criteria such as dev teams, software components, or release months. Being able to save these views for easy switching is a bonus.
Cons
Roadmunk performs well overall, but its performance suffers with large projects, necessitating sacrifices in detail for higher-level views.

“Visually appealing but has performance issues
Pros
This software simplifies creating beautiful roadmaps for internal stakeholders. The master roadmap feature streamlines managing multiple products effectively.
Cons
Their performance is slow, especially when loading all of our features and it is hard to bulk edit items on the roadmap.

“I love It!
Pros
I absolutely LOVE how simple it is. If your team tends to shy away from Agile because the process feels cumbersome, this tool is the answer you have been searching for. Adding, moving, or removing items is a breeze, and there is no need to manually duplicate individual views onto a team board. This has been a game-changer for us. I have set up master views for my team board to automatically pull from everyone's individual boards, giving me a comprehensive overview in one place. No more Jira, no more Excel sheets or Version One. It is all so intuitive, allowing us to focus more on the work itself rather than on time-consuming tracking.
Cons
I have noticed a few tweaks that could enhance my experience: Firstly, a warning prompt before deleting items, especially those linked in a Master RM view, would be helpful. Secondly, finding a better way to display Completed items without cluttering my Swimlane view would improve visibility. Lastly, presetting templates for all users, regardless of trial participation, would streamline onboarding and maintain engagement.

“Great Tool for Creating Visual Roadmaps
Pros
Being able to create visual roadmaps and publish them is fantastic. There are countless ways to slice and pivot the data to create the exact view you need, and the formatting options are abundant. Editing within the visualizations is incredibly convenient (my favorite is editing within the timeline view!).
Cons
While the idea management tools excel in organizing ideas, they lack direct user feedback functionality. I'd prefer to submit, comment and vote on ideas for better prioritization, linking seamlessly to my roadmap.

“Expensive, but worth it if you're serious about roadmaps
Pros
The visualization features are excellent and very user-friendly. I have found it incredibly easy to create multiple views and change the display of data on the fly, I have done this several times during meetings to address stakeholder questions.
Cons
Enhancements are required for documenting initiatives within the platform.

“Very helpful roadmapping tool for Enterprise Architecture
Pros
The ease of use, deployment, and low learning curve (thanks to an intuitive interface and features) make adoption a breeze, coupled with reasonable user licensing fees.
Cons
Additional support for various formats to download and export roadmaps is needed.

“Decent Visual Roadmapping Tool
Pros
It is highly flexible for iterative project management and offers excellent timeline visualization for gaining a comprehensive perspective on complex initiatives.
Cons
Pricing is a concern, expanding usage increases costs, but it is not comprehensive for detailed task breakdowns. We opted for Atlassian plug-ins instead.

“Visual Learners - Must Have Tool
Pros
This tool is perfect for visual learners like myself. It helps me stay on top of big projects and feel in control at work. A quick glance at my roadmap tells me what I need to focus on for the next 30 days, it is fantastic.
Cons
Streamlining bulk addition of tasks and recurring project options would be beneficial.

“5 starts for the integration with Jira
Pros
In my organization, Roadmunk primarily provides visibility of Epic progress, conflicts, and potential risks in our development initiatives. Its integration with Jira has been immensely helpful, allowing us to present progress comprehensively to upper management and facilitating open discussions a task that would have been challenging using native Jira reporting tools alone.
Cons
Catering to different user access levels in my organization's complex structure has been challenging, though this seems more related to our structure than a flaw in the platform.

“My two cents about my Roadmunk experience
Pros
What I love most is the ability to feature the work plan and phases on a timeline or in a swim lane by listing items. Having the option to add sub-items makes everything much clearer.
Cons
The interface is not very user-friendly when modifying timeline or swim lane features also dealing with diverse projects makes it challenging to differentiate fields for each roadmap.
