Sometimes, I’ve had the system suddenly freeze up when burdened with a lot of our young lawyers working on it simultaneously. The issue revolves around moments, but it would be nice not to have to face it every once in a while!

Their clean and organized user interface that allows me to find different options quickly and clearly. I can create highly accurate and comprehensive reports, efficiently track both the hours I invest in different tasks, and monitor the time spent on various actions.

I've noticed that for huge organizations, Rocket Matter might lack some functionalities and reporting capabilities.

Pros

I like the ease of the overall billing process and generating Prebills. Other systems required too much additional work to generate an invoice or mark up a Prebill. Rocket Matter made it so that I have to do less than three steps to generate bills, saving me a ton of time.

Cons

It is inconvenient not being able to write checks directly from Rocket Matter and having to invest in QuickBooks separately.

We've experienced constant issues with slow service and poor integration with QuickBooks. The reports are limited, and there were serious issues with Ad In integration with Microsoft Products. After a frustrating month with unresponsive customer service, we've decided to switch platforms. Despite its initial appeal, Rocket Matter turned out to be inefficient, clunky, and lacking in robustness.

Many years ago, Rocket Matter was brought to my attention as a billing, time management, and accounting tool for Mac users. Since then, it has grown and outgrown its reputation as a Mac program while not losing its utility for Mac users. My assistant uses a PC running Windows, and my accountant works on Linux, yet we all communicate flawlessly. I spend 80 percent of my work time on my iPad Pro and the remainder on a MacBook Pro. The RM app, which works with my iPad and iPhone, enables me to log time from anywhere.
