“Relies on it to record billable time”
Pros
As an attorney I rely on Sage Timeslips to record real time hours during the course of my work day and it allows me to capture all billable time for invoicing each client at the intervals I select
Cons
I noticed that the software limits the number of characters for client names.

“comfortable with it after twenty years”
Pros
I have been running this software for over twenty years so I am pretty comfortable with its workflows and do not want to switch or spend time learning an entirely new platform.
Cons
After using it for twenty years, I've noticed it has not evolved much. Over that time the price keeps creeping up annually and now they force you into an annual subscription. When I need help, support pushes you to submit issues online and then follow up by phone which is a hassle. Also their support hours don't line up well with being away from my home office so I've had to buy the unlimited tech support plan because individual support calls end up being very expensive if you're not subscribed.

“Makes it easy to enter time and invoice”
Pros
It makes it really easy for me to enter time and expenses and then quickly assemble everything into invoices.
Cons
The price is high and I wish they'd offer better renewal and upgrade discounts for long term customers.

“invoicing features easy and integrate well”
Pros
The invoicing and billing features are easy to use and they integrate well with the workflows I have in my legal practice.
Cons
When I need help, customer support feels limited and I often face delays when getting a response.

“Tracking time is pretty easy”
Pros
With Sage, tracking my time is prett easy. As I routinely enter my hours and can adjust them whenever needed for billing.
Cons
I'd really appreciate being able to count on spellcheck more reliably throughout the program.

“entering attorney time easy and uncluttered”
Pros
Entering attorney time for billing is pretty easy and user friendly. I also find the interface uncluttered and for the most part, easy to navigate.
Cons
There is a lack of flexibility when creating invoices and the design tools are hard to use and overly complicated. I have also noticed the same limited flexibility applies to reporting.

“Handles everything required for tracking”
Pros
We find that it handles everything we require for tracking time and managing our billing processes.
Cons
It doesn't retain the dates when I enter a timeslip unless I use the copy function and there are far too many options to sift through.

“Lost features after upgrade”
Pros
Frankly, there is nothing I like about it as features I regularly used like WIP and timesheets are not included in the basic package and the higher-tier version that includes them is way too expensive for me.
Cons
I had been using an older version of this tool. After I upgraded to Windows 11 it stopped functioning. Support advised me to reinstall my program but they refused to provide another installation copy so I was forced to buy the current release. Even after doing that I lost a number of features I have depended on for many years. It also stopped emailing invoices and statements. Customer support has not been able to fix the problem. I even read somewhere that the tool does not support the 64-bit version of Outlook. If that's accurate, I find that unacceptable. I mean why should I be put in the position of using a less capable email client?

“Nothing special for my needs”
Pros
I like that the interface is user-friendly and uncluttered. It is also really easy to navigate though nothing about the program particularly grabs my attention.
Cons
For my purposes it's nothing special. I only use it for one task so I hardly ever have an opportunity to look through the rest of the site.
