handy task organization

Pros

Very easy to use and it lets you arrange your work into projects and sub-tasks without much effort. It also includes extra features like integrations although I'm using the free personal plan so some of those options are limited.

Cons

On a larger screen, the horizontal card layout feels restrictive because only a certain number of cards can stay open and visible on a board at once. It would be much more practical if cards could be placed underneath another deck instead of having to merge them into a single deck.

visual dashboard for creatives

Pros

The dashboard has a really appealing look and everything is arranged clearly especially from an administrator's perspective. This kind of visual interface is very helpful particularly for creative people who prefer seeing everything laid out in front of them.

Cons

Because the dashboard is so spread out, finding a specific project can sometimes be a bit tricky since you have to scroll from left to right.

excellent task sharing and planning

Pros

The part I value most about this software is how well it helps me organize activities and events so I can build a better work schedule and manage my task time more effectively. It has been the best application I've used for keeping my activities in order. It also lets me collaborate with teammates and groups of colleagues which makes task organization much better because I can share activities and responsibilities with other people. Another thing I appreciate is being able to save work and activities that are already prepared which is very useful. I also really like that I can remind others about work, assignments, events and pending activities. Overall, it has helped me stay much more organized with my work tasks and daily activities. As a board for organizing work, events and activities, it has been extremely helpful for me.

Cons

The downside of the app is that it is not free and it also lacks proper notification folders and reminders when a scheduled date is about to expire. It only notifies me when someone else tags me but it should also send reminders when the due date of any work activity, event or project is approaching. Another thing I don't like is that you need to be connected to the internet to keep using the application. On top of that, when trying to install it on an Android smartphone, it can say the app is not compatible since it is not available for all Android devices. That means you need a more advanced phone for it to work which is disappointing.

useful and easy

Pros

Right away, the platform feels visual and accessible as a task manager. It's completely free and the tab-based setup lets whoever is leading the project quickly check the status of each team member's tasks. This tool works with cards to organize lists, updates, discussions and attachments. It's also simple enough to use that customizing cards with colors helps keep everything better structured. A nice extra is that it includes colorblind-friendly designs. You can assign cards to specific team members, set due dates, add stickers and include other details that make planning much easier.

Cons

There are other similar tools on the market that come with additional advantages so some users may end up preferring those paid options over what this tool offers.

simple to work with

Pros

The drag and drop workflow makes the software very simple to work with. Creating a card and moving it from one tab to another is easy and after using it for the past 3 years, we really haven't run into any problems.

Cons

As the number of bugs grows, tracking them becomes harder because the number of cards keeps increasing too. It feels quite different from Jira in that regard. That said, it is still very user friendly and I think it suits startup companies much better than large MNCs.

smart automation

Pros

One of the best parts is how you can build each board exactly the way you want it. The whole product feels carefully trimmed down, with features that aren't bloated and pretty much do exactly what you expect them to do. Having both personal boards and team boards is also really useful for keeping responsibilities separate and making delegation much clearer. The Zapier integration has made the app one of our core tools and it has even helped simplify onboarding for new staff by automatically generating written instructions for each task.

Cons

There's not really a perfect fix for it but once a board gets very long, dragging cards from one end to the other can become a bit of a nuisance. That said, it may also be a sign that the board setup itself needs to be reconsidered.

Try it yourself!

Pros

This software wins by keeping the Kanban board as simple as possible. The card structure is broken down really well, due dates and to-do tracking work wonderfully and the free version is more than enough for most teams. It's incredibly useful for collaboration and is one of the most easy tools for Agile project management and lean teams.

Cons

Reporting is still pretty limited and compliance features or export options aren't really there. It also lacks some of the integrations you'd normally expect, like CRM connections for reporting or stronger API support. Because of that, CRM-related updates often need to be entered manually and things like lead stages or conversions don't update automatically. The Slack integration is helpful but its overall usefulness feels limited.

practical software

Pros

Biggest strength has to be just how simple it is! With so many project management tools on the market feeling overly complicated, this one stands out as a more easy option that still manages to be functional and practical. It gives you multiple boards to organize different modules or projects, lets every team member get involved and makes it possible to create tasks, set alerts and more. Even with its simplicity, it still feels very complete.

Cons

It would be better if they added support for more languages so it could reach a wider market more effectively. Email notifications also need improvement especially for staying updated in real time.

fantastic for task workflows

Pros

Keeping in touch with teammates is very easy. It makes it simple to break a project down into clear, manageable tasks and move them through each stage of the workflow until everything is finished. You can also keep all the relevant details for a task or project in one place. It works really well for both short-term and long-term projects.

Cons

When a board gets packed with a lot of items, it can start to slow down although that usually happens at a pretty high limit. Search and filtering could definitely be more intelligent and strangely enough, I prefer the search experience on mobile over the desktop version.

versatile boards

Pros

With one of the simplest interfaces around, the software makes it really practical to build task lists for all kinds of uses, from collecting data to organizing full workflows. Those lists can also be turned into dashboards and shared with teammates or other members of the group. I've even used it to map out project roadmaps. At this point, this software has become my go-to for managing projects and day-to-day tasks and the team-sharing features are a big plus.

Cons

I honestly don't have anything major to complain about although you are somewhat limited by the way the platform is designed. It also takes a bit of practice to fully understand how to use this software effectively for project management but once you get the hang of it, it works well.

handy add-ons

Pros

This platform works really well for organizing projects and keeping work managed in one place. It makes it simple to assign and divide tasks across team members. Having both a web version and a mobile app is very convenient since it can be accessed anytime. The interface is accessible and it also comes with plenty of useful features and add-ons.

Cons

Task tracking is not as advanced or as clear as it is in some other project management tools. To keep everything running properly, teams may still need to rely on some clear old-school internal rules. Another downside is that reply notifications can be missed if a user is not specifically tagged.

love the templates

Pros

The app works really well for managing multiple cards on a board and the checklist feature is useful too. The Slack integration is a big plus and being able to customize board backgrounds helps with both organization and visual appeal. Inviting other people to boards is simple and it's helpful that you can control who is allowed to edit them. The template feature is also very practical since it lets me duplicate boards for new projects or workflow setups without having to rebuild everything from scratch.

Cons

A few parts of the platform were less accessible than I expected. Creating a checklist has to be done inside an individual card instead of directly on the board which adds extra clicks and makes it impossible to view more than one checklist at the same time. Another limitation is how cards are added across the board horizontally as more are created. While you can place additional cards under an existing column, there isn't a way to create another row that is clearly separated from the one above while still being visible on the same screen. Because of that, you end up scrolling far to the right to see all the additional cards on the board.

My favorite!

Pros

This software has a thoughtful design and the flexibility it offers makes it a really strong visual collaboration tool for all kinds of use cases. I often suggest it to anyone who wants a free way to work with a team. It's quick to pick up and the playful design makes it feel welcoming for people managing personal projects too.

Cons

From my perspective because my team specifically needs a visualization tool for agile development using kanban, the app doesn't feel like the ideal match. Since it's built to support many different types of workflows, it comes across more as a tool that can be adapted for agile projects rather than one created specifically for them. I would have preferred a separate label type for priority, the option to set card limits for certain columns and reporting around performance. That said, those are pretty specific requirements tied to a stronger preference for the Kanban method.

easy to use

Pros

Creating, sharing, commenting on and moving cards between different users, teams or groups is very easy. Adding descriptions and due dates is simple and that really helps when trying to keep a clear overview of team projects. As a team management tool, it works especially well because collaborating and leaving comments with other team members feels very natural.

Cons

Editing or deleting certain cards can be a little awkward at times. It also lacks a way to automatically organize cards by due date.

boards for every project

Pros

Across all the collaboration tools I've tried, this tool has been the most effective for me. The level of flexibility it offers is something I really appreciate. I can use it to jot down notes, coordinate my team's travel plans and organize and manage projects all in one place. Being able to move tasks through statuses like TO-DO, DOING and DONE makes the whole experience work perfectly for me.

Cons

The software gives users a lot of organizational power but it's also pretty easy to lose track of where you are once you're surrounded by all your tasks. Because of that, I have to be extra careful about how I organize everything.

task cards and power-ups standout

Pros

Being able to create task cards, add labels, tag owners, set deadlines and take advantage of the excellent power-ups makes the platform incredibly useful.

Cons

I'd love to see improvement in the FogBugz integration being bi-directional. When a bug gets resolved in FogBugz, updating it in this tool still takes too much manual work.

Keeps us aligned

Pros

Having a visual kanban for every project makes it much easier to track status and keep everyone on the team on the same page. The added transparency between team members is a big plus. The newer home screen is also a big improvement for anyone managing multiple boards since it gives a quick snapshot of what's happening without having to open each one individually. That solves a problem we used to have where things could slip through the cracks if we forgot to check a board. Seeing recent comments right on the home screen is also really useful. Before that, we would sometimes miss updates because we forgot to click the bell but we also didn't want to get flooded with notification emails. Overall, it helps us stay organized, makes priorities clearer, gives visibility into what's coming next and the customizable lists/stages are really helpful for managing all the moving parts.

Cons

An issue with the updated version is that the home page notifications seem pretty random. It's hard to understand how they're being prioritized and there doesn't appear to be much flexibility to adjust that. For example, it may randomly surface one team board instead of letting me choose from several relevant options. I'm also not a fan of not being able to dismiss comment notifications once I've already read them. A simple "read" button, similar to the completed button in "Up Next," would make that much better.

planning made easy

Pros

This tool makes task planning and assignment really easy and it gives you room to add useful context like notes, images, checklists, due dates and other details. Those tasks or "cards," can be placed into whatever lists you set up, such as To-Do, In Progress and Done and moved around freely as work changes. Having multiple boards also helps keep different projects separated and organized. The whole system is very simple to use, even when the project itself is more involved. I also appreciate that every card shows its activity history which cuts down on the usual confusion around who changed what. Overall, it's one of the most user friendly tools I've used for project tracking and because you can structure cards and lists however you want, it works well with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or pretty much any custom workflow.

Cons

That flexibility in how cards are created, edited and tagged does come with a downside: the platform only works as well as the structure you build into it. Whether it's you or someone else on the team, there has to be a decent amount of upfront effort spent defining the right taxonomy for the board and project. There are template boards you can copy and tweak which helps a bit but the initial setup is still the most mentally draining part of using this tool and there really isn't a way to skip that step.

detailed task tracking

Pros

Used the right way, this tool is a highly effective platform. One organization I worked with relied on it to manage a mix of marketing initiatives software development work and buildout projects. Because those kinds of projects involve so many moving parts, the software did an excellent job of keeping everyone aligned on assigned tasks and accountable to specific deadlines. It's very structured and thorough when it comes to tracking work, progress and due dates. For that purpose, it really performs well and even for smaller projects it remains a strong tool for hitting goals and staying on schedule. I really enjoyed using this software in that context and anyone dealing with similar needs probably would too.

Cons

Coming from a sales background, the software felt a bit too detailed for the kind of work I do. That said, I realize I was using it for something outside of what the platform was really designed for so that's not necessarily a fault of the software itself. If being overly detailed counts as a downside, then that would be my criticism. At the same time, people who prefer a lot of structure, detail and accountability would probably see that exact same thing as a major advantage and enjoy working in this software.

custom boards with strong security

Pros

This software's card-based setup is a big advantage. The board structure, with lists inside lists, can be customized in just about any way needed. The notifications and checklists are easy and do exactly what you want from project management software. It also supports third-party integrations which is really useful for connecting with Drive, Dropbox and other cloud services. The security features are as strong as you could ask for. Overall, it's a real powerhouse for project management.

Cons

The pricing model could definitely be better. Charging per team member instead of per team makes it expensive for smaller projects that happen to involve a lot of people. The premium plan does offer additional features but the price for it feels too high.
