Great task management tool

Pros

I'm using it as a task-management tool and I find it really effective for working on projects with colleagues across different departments and branches. The ability to tag tasks matters a lot to me because it sends notifications to team members about what they're assigned. Overall, working together has become much smoother thanks to this software.

Cons

Wrike packs a lot of features and tools which makes it a bit time-consuming to find and move through everything when I'm using it. I wish there was a way for users to customize where tools live so I could group the ones I use most often together making them quicker and easier to access during my workflow.

Excellent UX

Pros

I've found the interface really easy to use. The user experience is solid and I was able to get started right away without needing to sit through lengthy training or tutorials.

Cons

It's worth mentioning that they raised their prices quite a bit a couple of years ago. I hope they've reduced them since but because it's been some time since I used the tool, I can't say for sure.

effective for collaboration

Pros

We find it excellent for collaborating with teammates and external contractors. Our team uses it alongside our website and graphic designer because many of us work remotely.

Cons

At times the interface feels cluttered and I struggle to identify recent edits or updates. All in all, I see this as a relatively small drawback.

Gets things done

Pros

It's excellent for knocking out tasks and managing my workload efficiently.

Cons

To be honest the interface doesn't feel as smooth as it could and I suspect the developers rely too heavily on JavaScript.

Makes collaboration easy

Pros

I really enjoy how it makes collaborating with teammates easy. I can add people to tasks, tag supervisors with questions and mark items complete or link tasks together.

Cons

It can be confusing. The homepage doesn't offer as much customization as I'd prefer and I often struggle to locate my dashboards or reports when needed most.

offers variety of features

Pros

As a user, I've found it to be a platform that really simplifies project tracking and helps deliver solid organizational solutions. It makes communication with team members much easier for me and it includes a variety of features that genuinely make life simpler for our wider community. Success feels within reach with this tool. You should take advantage of it.

Cons

I believe it needs to improve its operating system or core focus because that aspect feels flawed.

User-friendly software

Pros

I've found it to be very user-friendly and it genuinely helps our team dig into projects and meet deadlines. It organizes task and deadline management and makes it easy to break work down into sections and smaller subtasks, each with calendar deadlines so everything stays organized.

Cons

Personally I don't have any real complaints. In my experience it handles project management very effectively and I haven't found anything to dislike about it.

Can't have internal discussions with my team

Pros

I like the GANT chart for getting an overview of all my tasks.

Cons

It's really annoying that internal conversations with my team still alert the customer and the workaround Wrike offered fell short of what I needed to keep things private.

Gantt chart was locked behind a subscription paywall

Pros

The UI/UX is excellent. The typography and visuals were really gentle on my eyes. Once I got over the initial learning curve, planning and adding tasks became very simple.

Cons

It bothered me that the Gantt chart was locked behind a subscription paywall. Honestly the Gantt was the main reason I signed up since I found it extremely useful.

Centralized solution

Pros

I find the benefit of having a central location to be an amazing assurance. It also really helps that my entire team uses the same place for all administrative tasks.

Cons

There's really no way to prove beyond doubt that I didn't use the service, given that access logs are kept and yet I still end up having to deal with unauthorized charges.

Packed with features

Pros

We get a tool loaded with features that serves as a strong collaboration platform for my internal teams. The task-management side works brilliantly. I find time tracking simple and sensibly placed at the task level. There are so many excellent capabilities I can't list them all here.

Cons

Because it's so feature-rich, getting it rolled out properly has been fairly difficult for our team. The people from Wrike I work with are friendly and helpful yet I sense the company's broader culture leans heavily toward sales. It comes across as though Wrike's teams are pushed to close deals which is frustrating, not because of the individuals I interact with but due to a top-down mindset that seems off. Also, expect to pay if you want formal training.
