Cons

It would have been better if the information wasn't divided into numerous tabs. Consolidating certain information within a single tab would create a less cluttered interface.

I wish they prioritized customer service, which currently seems non-existent, and listened to our requests. Contract Changes When They Want - Do Not Care About Customers. Lousy Customer Service

The interface is relatively simple, and navigating through tenant portals is also unproblematic.

Cons

The websites are quite expensive, and they consistently add additional charges. They introduced a $2.49 fee for e-checkpayments, which used to be free, without proper communication or explanation. This sudden change has caused frustration among both property managers and tenants.

Cons

I joined AppFolio in December 2019 and was pressured to complete the setup by the end of the month, even though it wasn't ready. After six months of trial and error, I finally managed to make the system functional enough for my work. Unfortunately, the lack of support and customer care has persisted. For instance, an owner credit was mistakenly applied to a suppressed charge, causing an accounting error. I discovered this issue and requested the support representative to transfer my request to someone else after nine days of no resolution. The support person kept suggesting multiple accounting adjustments based on generic help documents. One of the four possible accounting entries should fix the problem. However, the next person I spoke to called me disrespectful, rude, and unprofessional. They provided the same canned suggestions with four options, one of which might resolve the issue. Dealing with AppFolio has been more painful than the benefits the software provides.

Cons

AppFolio's customer service is a letdown. It's difficult to reach them by phone, and recently they made changes that prevent access to the Chat Line. Obtaining help requires navigating through a complex process.

AppFolio Property Manager Honest Review

Pros

AppFolio has an abundance of fantastic features, and I love the seamless interconnectedness. Listing rentals and conducting candidate interviews are enjoyable tasks. Whether we work in the office or remotely, we can be equally effective, thanks to AppFolio. The customer service has been exceptional, always responsive and helpful. This software is excellent for anyone, and the tutorials are easy to follow. I appreciate how AppFolio has facilitated our transition to online business operations.

Cons

This feature is incredibly useful, and I can't think of any reasons why I don't like the product. However, I dislike the inability to customize settings for each user individually. Certain information that should be private is accessible to employees too frequently. Additionally, there is a need to improve the design of inspection templates.
