What I really like the most about Hemlane is how it relieves so much pressure from my daily business operations. It takes care of rent collection and deposits them into my bank account, without me having to constantly remind my tenants. Hemlane handles late payments, allowing me to maintain a professional distance from my tenants. This saves my sanity. Additionally whenever I have a question or need help with tenant settings, their prompt and helpful customer support is always there for me.

Cons

I have had a very positive overall experience. There is nothing negative to mention.

I have been using the system for over a year and Hemlanes service coordinators have always made me feel like they are part of my team. They play a key role in ensuring our tenants and properties are well taken care of giving me confidence and peace of mind.

This may sound a bit picky but the reporting could be slightly improved. Again this is just a minor preference.

I have a property with four renters who pay separately some through Hemlane and some offline. Managing the accounting and financials for this situation has been a bit tricky.

It would be helpful to have pre made leases with legally binding e signatures that could be exchanged within the software portal.

In the Financials section I would like to have the option to view outstanding items for the current month without needing to apply filters.

I was very happy by the immediate influx of leads and the notification system whenever someone showed interest in a viewing. The tenant tracking system also worked smoothly and was easy to follow.

It would be beneficial if Hemlane provided more flexibility in the automatic questionnaires sent to prospective tenants during the initial inquiry. Users should be able to customize those initial questions. For example the question about having a "pet" can be misleading since service animals are not considered pets. This could lead some prospective tenants to lie about having a service animal when they are actually trying to sneak in a pet. A better question would be What animals do you have?
