“Total Confidence Recommending this Product
Pros
This system is incredibly straightforward and uncomplicated. The instructional videos are excellent!
Cons
I can honestly say there were absolutely no issues! It's hands down the best out-of-the-box software I've ever used.

“PayHOA Saved the Day
Pros
I appreciate how effortless and manageable everything is. The support provided is exceptional, guiding you in the right direction.
Cons
It would be great to have the ability to receive inbound SMS messages. Although not a deal breaker, it would be an improvement. Additionally, more features for processing old information and expenses, along with better workflows, would be greatly appreciated. Transferring years of data will take time.

“Outstanding customer relations and assistance
Pros
This program is remarkably comprehensive and easy to grasp with minimal time investment. PayHoa perfectly aligns with the budget and resources of our small HOA (116 units) for our specific needs.
Cons
So far, I haven't encountered any major negatives. The support staff has been exceptional in their assistance.

“Good for basic property management, not good for accounting
Pros
The online payment feature is fantastic. The online communication tools are equally impressive.
Cons
The accounting software integrated into the platform is terrible. Since we have to do yearly taxes and audits for our HOA, I tried to pull the yearly financial reports from PayHOA, but I found multiple errors in the transactions. I experimented with different methods to extract financial information, but none of them were accurate. I had to create my own Excel tracking to verify our income versus expenses.

“A user friendly, value packed and budget friendly option for HOA management
Pros
The ease of use and the quality of customer service are outstanding. Even as someone new to HOA management, the software's intuitive nature makes it easy to learn. The invoicing, payment, budgeting, and reporting tools are robust and user-friendly, and the customer service is exceptional.
Cons
There are occasional minor frustrations. Sometimes homeowners enrolling will accidentally create a new HOA with a similar name instead of searching for and enrolling in our organization. It took me a while to figure this out, but the more time I spend with the software, the more I appreciate it.

“PayHOA is awesome!
Pros
We opted for PayHOA to manage our small HOA in an active adult community. Since our residents are seniors, having an interface that is user-friendly was crucial, and PayHOA delivers on that. It allows our residents to view their accounts, submit requests for maintenance, landscaping, or architectural changes, and make online payments. On the administrative side, our Board can easily send out broadcast emails, create surveys, generate invoices, and respond to requests. The support we received during setup and implementation has been exceptional.
Cons
The accounting reporting side of the PayHOA system has a couple of issues, but the support we've received has been excellent.

“Promises Kept - Best HOA Software
Pros
Our team absolutely adores PayHOA. It is incredibly easy to implement, both on the front end and back end. The support team is responsive, and they are continually innovating to enhance an already excellent product.
Cons
My only complaint is that I can only work on one association at a time. If I switch associations in one tab, it automatically switches in all my tabs.

“The best software for our HOA
Pros
I like the option that allows me to check it daily and see which homeowners have made their payments. The new feature for depositing paper checks is exciting because I dislike going to the bank. The staff always promptly answers my questions via email, and when necessary, we can set up a Zoom meeting.
Cons
It would be great to have some form of online fundraising, although it's not essential. Also, the ability to add monthly interest to an invoice without creating another one would be helpful. Additionally, having an HOA billboard where we can display a community newsletter for homeowners would be nice.

“PAYHOA Will Be the Best HOA Management Software
Pros
We are in love with this software! It's designed to handle every aspect in one place - communication, account management, accounting, document storage, budget management, unit viewing, property classification, you name it! Even if it doesn't currently have a feature, the developer is actively working on it. We've been using it for just over 6 months, and during that time, there have been updates, improvements to the layout, and accounting capabilities that it didn't have before. This aspect is excellent. It indicates that it will soon become a major player. Natalie, a customer service representative, is exceptional. She goes above and beyond to assist and ensures that you genuinely want to carry out the actions you intend. The communication module includes robo calls, texting, email, and even the option to mail documents and invoices via USPS for a small fee. None of the other management software offers that!
Cons
The accounting portion of the software isn't as comprehensive as the rest, but they are actively working on improving it. It's a young company, and we have faith that they will get it done right!

“Give PAYHOA a shot for community management. You will be hooked. Great Customer Service!
Pros
The user-friendliness and the efficient communication with residents of an HOA are exceptional with this software. It has made managing an HOA significantly easier for us. The personalized service and swift responses to our questions are impressive. We never feel abandoned to figure things out on our own. Their constant support has made the system much less daunting, guiding us every step of the way. People like her make this software truly worthwhile!
Cons
This rarely happens, but I've noticed that the system can be slow on certain days. It would also be beneficial to have a mobile version for recording violations in real-time during inspections, streamlining the violation process. Instant photo uploads would be a great addition as well.

“Not a satisfied customer
Pros
The cost-effectiveness is apparent, although you get what you pay for.
Cons
I had an issue with canceling the PDF mailer. They state that you have 5 minutes to cancel, but there is no option for users to cancel. So, if I'm working late, I have to wait until the following day to contact them in case I need to cancel. This is assuming they pick up due to the impact of the coronavirus. Unfortunately, I have already committed to this software with my HOA. If that weren't the case, I would consider using TOPS.

“Great for Self Managed HOA's
Pros
As the president of our HOA, which consists of approximately 65 homes, we recently made the decision to transition to self-management. I tried out free trials of nearly every major product on Capterra, and without a doubt, PayHOA's interface was the easiest to learn and convince the other board members about. We encountered a few glitches in the system, but working with support to get them resolved was a breeze. It seems like the tool is continuously being improved, rather than just sitting idle. It's an interactive and powerful tool that offers almost everything you can think of. And if something is missing, the support team listens to ideas for potential implementation. So far, our community has embraced this upgrade, allowing the board to support our residents more easily and with less time compared to managing our previous management company.
Cons
The financial tools and reporting need some improvement. Our bank's outdated online banking system likely contributes to this. There are also many free online tools that can cover any gaps in functionality. Additionally, the online payment fees are not competitive. It would be beneficial if there was a way to link our bank's system to PayHOA to avoid these charges.

“One Stop Management
Pros
The software is incredibly intuitive and contains all the features I was seeking.
Cons
I wish the Financial Reporting feature had a more comprehensive form-driven approach. Although PayHOA's simplistic Profit and Loss statement works for me, it would be great to be able to print out an Income Statement and Balance Sheet that comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

“Board President
Pros
The most remarkable aspect was the service we received during our transition to the new portal. While the system's ease of use, real-time capabilities, and numerous available features are important, they are secondary.
Cons
Not applicable, as new features are on the horizon.

“PayHOA is Great
Pros
PayHOA has proven to have all the necessary tools for our small HOA with 41 units.
Cons
It takes some time for me to get comfortable with using the product since I'm not accustomed to using an online portal. The explanation for connecting our bank accounts to use the e-check feature needs improvement to avoid the need for user login credentials during setup.

“Self Managed HOA
Pros
The best part of the software is the simple user interface coupled with the abundance of features required to self-manage a small single-family HOA with less than 100 units, all conveniently located in one place. It has significantly enhanced communication and simplified accounting tasks. The technical support, especially when encountering bugs, has been outstanding, just as I expected. The ability to download CSV files is fantastic.
Cons
I've encountered some bugs with the PDF mailer and noticed that identical transactions can get deleted. It would be helpful to have accounting reports that are downloadable in a formatted version, not just .CSV files, for immediate presentation. The Violations UI could be clearer about the process of creating, submitting, and resolving.

“Great Value, Great Customer Service
Pros
Implementing the software was a breeze. PayHOA smoothly uploaded all our data. This software package offers the functionality we desired. We appreciate the ability to receive online payments and send mailings directly to our residents using this software.
Cons
There are moments when the software experiences lag, especially when using a smartphone. The response time could be faster.

“A good start for a management solution
Pros
I appreciate the electronic invoice feature and the flexibility for members to pay via card, account debiting, or offline check. The unified message center, which keeps a record of emails to members and indicates if they have been viewed, is also a valuable feature.
Cons
I found it challenging to apply interest on unpaid balances and display the open balance carried forward while adding a late fee. Printing an account history was a workaround, but I had to modify the document to avoid implying that the interest charge was the only outstanding balance.

“Pay HOA is a great way to keep up with deliquencies
Pros
The emailing feature for contacting multiple residents with overdue balances is a major advantage. No need to send individual emails one by one.
Cons
The software can be a bit slow, so it's important to manage time effectively and avoid waiting until the last minute in case of system glitches.
