Pros

PayHOA offers numerous features that cater to various operational needs of my HOA. Updates are frequent, and any minor bugs I notice are usually fixed by the next time I use the software.

Cons

I used this platform for about a year for our HOA board, specifically for email communications, and I wish there were more features to protect board member privacy. It would be great to have more options to configure automated emails.

Cost effective association management and great customer service

Pros

After a short learning period, I find the application fairly straightforward to use. It has greatly improved communication with our owners, which is crucial for our self-managing association. Recently, we switched to PayHOA's bookkeeping services, and the customer service was exceptional. I want to give a shout-out to the team for their expertise with the system.

Cons

Batch mailings through snail mail took longer than expected, but it could be due to the post office.

Our search for a system like PayHOA was driven by the need to track units, owners, and renters, as well as offer online payment options. As a small self-managed building, we wanted a solution that was user-friendly, provided accounting capabilities, and offered excellent support. PayHOA fulfilled all our requirements, making it easy to locate information, and their quick responses to our questions were incredibly helpful.

Cons

While there are many features we don't utilize, the only downside is the limited accounting capabilities. We would like to set up vendors for invoicing and receiving payments without having to create fake units. Additionally, tenant requests for Google/Apple Pay are currently unavailable.

Easy to use - Adopt in minutes

Pros

I absolutely loved how effortlessly I could use PayHOA. Within minutes, I imported my HOA's Excel spreadsheet directly into the software, making the transition seamless.

Cons

When I was importing my "units," it wasn't particularly easy to import payment history, which was a bit frustrating. However, I found it effortless to submit an enhancement request, and in the long term, not having that feature didn't significantly diminish its value.

Dealing with accounts in collections is a bit challenging. There is a way to prevent those accounts from paying via the portal, but it's not the most ideal solution and can cause issues with the collection agency.

As the treasurer, the account tracking for each resident, overall transactions, and budget reports have been incredibly helpful. I used to spend hours or even days maintaining this information, but now I can accomplish it in minutes on a regular basis!

It would be helpful if some of the budget reports had an option for more concise information.
