This app is awesome! The support team is super quick to respond and really helpful. Honestly, you could not ask for more. It's way better and more user-friendly than some of those "big name" apps I have seen in the HOA management space. Like PayHOA offers numerous features that cater to various operational needs of my HOA. Updates are frequent, and any minor bugs I notice are usually fixed by the next time I use the software.
Cons
I used this platform for about a year for our HOA board, specifically for email communications, and I wish there were more features to protect board member privacy. It would be great to have more options to configure automated emails.

Pros
After spending little time learning, I found this app pretty easy to use. It has really improved our communication with owners, which is super important for our self-managed association. We recently switched over to PayHOA's bookkeeping services, and the customer service was fantastic. Big shout-out to the team for knowing the system inside and out!
Cons
Batch mailings through snail mail took longer than what I expected, but it could be due to the post office.

“No doubt, we made the right decision
Pros
We started looking for a system like PayHOA because we needed to track units, manage owners and renters and offer online payment options. Being a small, self-managed building, we wanted something straightforward with options for more advanced accounting if needed—and PayHOA had all of that. It is easy to find what we need and whenever we have questions, they respond quickly. Really helpful and super easy to set up. Highly recommend!
Cons
While there are many features we don't utilize, the only downside is the limited accounting capabilities. We would like to set up vendors for invoicing and receiving payments without having to create fake units. Additionally, tenant requests for Google/Apple Pay are currently unavailable.

I love how easy PayHOA is to use! I was able to get started in minutes just by importing my HOA's Excel spreadsheet right into the system. Also so simple and quick to set up.
Cons
When I was importing my "units," I had a bit of trouble with importing payment history, which was a little frustrating. But the good thing was that submitting an enhancement request was super easy. In the end, not having that feature did not really take away from the overall value of the software.

With PayHOA, I do not have to use any other tool as it is a one-stop solution for me.
Cons
Dealing with accounts in collections has been a bit challenging for me. While there is a way to prevent those accounts from paying via the portal but it is not the most ideal solution and can sometimes cause issues with the collection agency.

We honestly would not have made it as a self-managed HOA without PayHOA. The accounting, collections and email tools they provide are all excellent and make everything so much easier.
Cons
We didn't really have a practical need to launch our own website through the PayHOA platform. As we feel like it was not something that would be useful for us.

Pros
It has been an amazing experience. Like it has really cut down on the time I spend on tasks and has made communicating with residents way more easy. And as the treasurer, I love how easy it is to track each resident's account, keep an eye on transactions and run budget reports. I used to spend hours and sometimes even days to keep track of all this, but now I can do it in just minutes.
Cons
It would be helpful for us and everyone else if some of the budget reports had an option to provide more concise information.

Pros
I mostly use the dashboard to navigate through the program and it works great for what I need. PayHOA is the only HOA program I have used, and it's been really helpful. It has made it super easy for our homeowners to make their monthly HOA payments and report any maintenance issues.

PayHOA has been a real lifesaver for us. It lets us store all our important HOA documents in one place and helps us keep track of our homeowners and their yearly assessments. Well it is not wrong to say that it has been such a blessing because it allowed us to manage our own HOA without needing to hire an expensive property management company.

Well as per me PayHOA offers a good price, has a great setup and becomes easy to use once you get the hang of its functionality. The interface is also really attractive for residents.
Cons
I used to receive prompt responses to my questions and requests, and the people at PayHOA were great to work with. However, recently, this hasn't been the case. I have a simple accounting statement request pending for nine months, and my customer service requests have been unanswered for over a month with minimal response.

We are a volunteer HOA board made up of neighbors and anything that makes the job easier is a win. PayHOA has been a great help in almost every part of our work. For example the financial tools are spot on for our HOA, which consists of 36 homes. And the request tools make handling the usual HOA tasks super simple and the custom reporting options usually meet all our needs.
Cons
The People view could benefit from added flexibility. And I think it would be good to allow residents to see contact information without revealing other residents financial status.

So far, I have only used the Invoicing and Payment module, which is easy to use and offers a wide range of functionality. When the developer hands over the building to us in November 2023, I look forward to utilizing all the other modules. The main challenge will be integrating a Mexican bank into the system. However, PayHOA handles Pesos just like they are dollars, using the "$" symbol.
Cons
How can we adapt it to handle a Mexican Bank? While PayHOA was not originally designed for international use, I found a simple workaround that lets the system accept a Mexican bank, even though we do not use features like online payments or vendor payments.
