Great Software, Too Expensive

Pros

Turno is truly an exceptional app and software. It seamlessly integrates with Airbnb, streamlining the process of scheduling cleanings. I no longer have to worry about managing cleanings and can easily review the uploaded cleaner photos to ensure quality.

Cons

The drawback of Turno is its high cost. They charge a 5% fee for each clean, both for you and the cleaners. As someone who has 10-12 cleans per month with a $100 cleaning fee, this amounts to $50-$60 per month, which is significantly more expensive than other alternatives (I switched and now pay $5 per month for the same software).

Pros

I was facing difficulties finding a cleaner for my STR until someone recommended Turno (I also listened to the No Vacancy podcast episode about it). I decided to give it a shot, and I was pleasantly surprised by how seamlessly it integrates with the Airbnb website. It's incredible to see a cleaner automatically booked within 30 minutes of receiving an Airbnb reservation, without any effort on my part. The first cleaning went exceptionally well. It's a relief to have a dependable solution for managing this aspect of my STR.

Cons

It's challenging to find information on past cleaning jobs. The interface heavily focuses on upcoming work.

Turno has been a fantastic tool for assigning our housekeepers to specific properties and managing their schedules. The ability for our cleaners to access guest information, including check-in/out details and stay durations, is incredibly helpful.

Cons

There are many features in the Turno app that I don't actually utilize, and initially, I felt overwhelmed by all of it, especially when trying to implement everything, like inventory. However, once I started using it for what I specifically needed, I fell in love with it!

We highly value the intuitive interface and the automatic addition of cleanings to our calendar. It leaves no room for oversights. Although it's essential to double-check, the system works seamlessly. We also appreciate the platform's feature that allows us to discover new cleaners.

Cons

The only downside we've encountered is the cost. While our system is "free" due to integration with Hostfully, meaning we don't pay a subscription fee, there are platform fees and credit card fees. Consequently, each cleaning incurs an additional $18-$35 in turnover costs.

Pros

It assists me in finding skilled cleaners for my STR, and the cleaning checklist, payment feature, and notifications are outstanding! I also love that it syncs with my property management app.

Cons

I overlooked specifying a cleaner as the primary contact, so when I wanted to use someone else, it still notified the original cleaner about a checkout.

Cons

One of their cleaners sent a threatening text, mentioning falsifying information to harm my company. Turno/Turnoverbnb took no action, and I'm extremely disappointed in their response. I'm currently reporting them for regulatory review.

Turno for STR Management

Pros

Turno is an excellent tool for scheduling and managing cleaner expectations through checklists. However, the photo feature occasionally experiences glitches in the field.

Cons

The two downsides of Turno are the fees associated with online payments (in addition to subscription fees) and the absence of downloadable reports. While property checklists and photos can be provided, as a management company, we have no way to translate the report for claims or our owners.

Integration to PMS is awful (OwnerRez)

Pros

Cleaners find the interface convenient for scheduling cleaning times.

Cons

The interface with OwnerRez is absolutely terrible. The reservation times and projects are not properly linked to the check-in and check-out times of the stay. I have to manually adjust any early/late checkouts in Turno. Why wouldn't it utilize the check-in and check-out times provided by the integration? Having this information in two different places only leads to miscommunication with cleaners and missed cleanings. It's a poorly designed system.

Turno made turning over between guest easy

Pros

The notifications for when a cleaner accepts a job, completes a cleaning, and leaves notes about the guest's departure are all exceptional.

Cons

I can't think of any negatives. Everything is good, and I genuinely like the product.
