“Totally unacceptable
Pros
Unfortunately, the software has been ruined by the "upgrade." Simple tasks have become impossible. Daily reports are inaccurate, and balancing with bank statements is challenging. It used to be an excellent product, but now it's a daily headache. Our busy schedule doesn't allow us to continuously fight with this software.
Cons
Dealing with daily reports that are consistently incorrect has become a time-consuming nightmare. What used to take 10 minutes now takes days. As a result, we are actively seeking alternative software options.

“Web Self Storage we no longer use.
Pros
Initially WebSelfStorage was a breeze to use. Entering tenant information such as names, addresses, and phone numbers was simple. Renting and vacating units was also easy. The reports were easy to interpret, and the daily open/close procedure was straightforward.
Cons
One aspect I didn't appreciate was the lack of efficient customer support when issues arose, which happened frequently. Logging in became a daily struggle, and the system occasionally double or triple charged tenants' credit cards, causing significant accounting problems. Support was unhelpful when I finally managed to reach them.

“Old Version Was Much Better
Pros
If you're considering purchasing this software, I recommend waiting. The current update is useless, but I hope they fix the issues soon. Until then, it's best to avoid purchasing this software.
Cons
I sincerely hope that WebSelfStorage's tech team has undergone significant changes. This new update seems to be plagued with issues. For instance, I couldn't log in all day today, hampering our ability to process credit card payments. It's absolutely ridiculous. Either resolve the entire issue promptly or revert back to the old version.

Pros
There is absolutely nothing I like about this software. The new "upgrade" is a nightmare. Nothing functions correctly and it seems like no one tested it before release. We are essentially the beta testers, and they charge us to use it. Dealing with all the bugs and issues is frustrating. Nothing works as it should, and it even charges customers incorrectly. I wish we had switched programs before being forced into this upgrade.
Cons
Everything about this software is terrible. Reports don't print correctly, and the dashboard lacks the functionality to move in new customers smoothly. Searching for repeat customers by phone number often fails. The forced upgrade has been a complete disaster for us.

I've used the old version for nearly 15 years with minimal problems, but there are few positive aspects to the new version.
Cons
The new version of the software is very very difficult to use. Customer service response times have tripled, and essential functions still don't work properly, even two months after the release. The layout is cumbersome and time-consuming. I haven't found a single aspect that is faster, easier, or more functional than the previous version. The entire update feels amateurish, as if it were developed by elementary school students for a computer lab project. U-Haul's insistence on implementing this software without considering our facility's needs is frustrating. The software's functionality and user-friendliness are terrible, with no intuitive features. Even the new color scheme for site maps lacks coherence. It seems like changes were made for the sake of change, rather than improving the software.

I started with other programs that can't compare to the comprehensive nature of WSS. They often anticipate issues before I even ask about them. Considering the price and support, there's no other available option that comes close.

The support staff is severely understaffed. Waiting over an hour for an online chat response is unacceptable. They should have adequate staff for the volume of business they handle.

I've been using WebSelfStorage for 17 months, and I'm not satisfied with it. The tech support is good, but I often have to find workarounds to solve specific problems.
Cons
The software is far from intuitive and lacks user friendliness. I often need to verify results with a calculator to ensure accuracy, and the totals sometimes don't add up correctly. The way charges and payments are listed on receipts is confusing for both me and my tenants, and I'm unable to make changes to improve clarity. Correcting mistakes can be challenging, and the support team's suggestions often highlight the limitations and restrictions of WSS. Since upgrading to Windows 8.1, I've encountered issues with taking payments and the site map not opening tenant accounts. Despite support interventions, the problems remain unsolved, with the suggestion of seeking local tech assistance. I'm currently exploring alternative facility management solutions. However, their Central Mailing service has been enjoyable, as they handle mailing invoices and letters for the cost of postage. Yet, at this point, I would gladly print letters and stuff envelopes if I find a more flexible and user-friendly solution.

Pros
The ease of use is exceptional. I don't have to rely on an external company for the benefits WebSelfStorage provides to my facility, including credit card processing and insurance. It's incredibly affordable, and I can access my account from anywhere with internet access. eMove also advertises and handles reservations for my facility on their website.
