“easy to link account”

Pros

Setup is very simple and linking an account doesn't take much effort either. It also helps a lot with client confidence since PayPal is such a recognized and trusted platform.

Cons

My biggest frustration with PayPal is that in my country, withdrawing money from the account can be difficult. It can be done but the bank fees are unfortunately very high. On top of that, PayPal's own transaction fees can also be expensive in certain cases.

Being able to use it on mobile is a big plus and the cash back feature is easily the best part. Sending money is simple with several convenient options and having bitcoin and other cryptocurrency features included adds even more value.

The chargeback fees are pretty high, the fee structure can be confusing at times and withdrawals from a bank account can take longer than expected.

The support is consistently good and I'm always helped when I need it. The interaction is solid overall and it's one of the best digital wallets I've used so I definitely recommend it.

Every now and then it goes offline but it usually doesn't last very long.

customer service does not respond to claims right away. They do eventually get back to you but the response can take some time.

Working with contractors across different countries, having PayPal accepted almost everywhere has been a huge advantage. I really value the payment protection feature and the fact that so many people already trust and use it makes transactions much more convenient. The platform is also very user-friendly and integrates well with a lot of other services.

The biggest downside is the fees. It can also take quite a while for a dispute to be resolved when dealing with a non-paying vendor or retailer.

“Feels like a second bank account”

Pros

Having it on my site has been really useful because I can create and embed payment buttons directly on the website. It's a brand people already trust which makes a difference. I receive money in dollars and can also make payments in either dollars or pounds so being in the UK, having that currency choice is really helpful. It honestly feels a bit like having a second bank account. Setting up direct debits is also a nice bonus.

Cons

One limitation is with the shopping cart setup. I'd like to use PayPal's shopping cart but I already have another one, eJunkie, connected to PayPal and it won't allow me to add another. Also, the PayPal buttons can be a bit too small at times. The exchange rate isn't always ideal either when converting dollars into pounds.

Out of everything in the app, the payment transaction feature has been the standout for me. Sending money feels effortless and flawless and the payment reaches the other person without delays.

the app still isn't available in some countries which makes making payments difficult in those places.

It would be better if it supported a wider range of currencies and more countries. Sending money to someone in another country should also be simpler and come with fewer or no fees.

There's honestly not much to complain about with PayPal. It's very simple to use and most people or businesses seem to accept it without any issue. If I had to point out one downside, I'd say it can feel a bit less user-friendly than something like Venmo, mainly because of the interface and overall accessibility.
