“Makes online payments effortless”
Pros
It has been incredibly simple to use, almost to the point where it feels effortless. I'd absolutely recommend using it every day. It's my go-to option for sending money, receiving payments and shopping online.
Cons
Honestly I can't think of anything PayPal needs to improve. It feels flawless across the board and has been excellent software for handling things online.

“swift, reliable payments”
Pros
This has been one of the online financial services I've used most over the last few years. It's fast, dependable and gives me a strong sense of security. The platform is also very user-friendly and I really appreciate how it manages transactions. Another big plus is that all the fees are clearly shown upfront so you always know exactly what you're being charged for.
Cons
My only real issue is that PayPal doesn't offer full send-and-receive functionality in every country. In some places, users can send money but can't receive it which gets frustrating. I'd also say the two-step security check can feel unnecessary at times especially when it happens more often than needed.

“convenient payouts”
Pros
PayPal has been fast, secure and simple to use and it's accepted in so many places that it makes payments really convenient. Since it's available in around 100 countries and recognized worldwide, it gives me a lot of flexibility when I need to pay suppliers on the other side of the world.
Cons
I'm not a fan of the fees PayPal charges whenever money is sent or received. Those charges can add up quickly and make international transactions harder to manage.

“Safe & simple”
Pros
It has been an excellent payment system for me. It lets me send and receive money from home without any hassle which is really convenient. The layout is clean and very simple to use. Most importantly, it feels safe and secure and I trust it to help protect my money from scammers.
Cons
I really don't have any complaints about PayPal. I've used the platform for several years now and I haven't run into any issues at all.

“Effortless checkout”
Pros
This platform makes the whole payment process really simple for both me and my customers. A lot of my customers already use PayPal so checking out and completing purchases is much more convenient than using other payment methods.
Cons
There's nothing I dislike about PayPal.

“helpful loans and fair fees”
Pros
After about 15 years of using PayPal, I can say it's been simple to work with and the fees haven't felt overly expensive. At one point, they even gave my business a $1,000 loan and the repayment setup was nice since they only took a small percentage from the payments I received through their site. I thought that was a really nice feature. Once the loan was paid off, there was also the option to apply for another one, as long as you have a business and steady income.
Cons
I haven't run into any issues yet. Everything has been going well so far.

“Built-in buyer protection”
Pros
Compared with a lot of other payment apps, PayPal gives me much more peace of mind because your money is protected. It keeps both buyers and sellers safer, lets you dispute transactions and makes it possible to speak with real customer service agents so you don't have to constantly worry about losing money to a scam or some other bad situation. Another thing I really appreciate is the support for multiple currencies. I recently bought items from outside the U.S. and had to pay in euros. I didn't know the exchange rate at all and I didn't need to stress over it because PayPal handled the conversion for me. That whole transaction was really impressive.
Cons
At the beginning, when I was still a new user and making several transactions, PayPal would lock my account pretty often because of suspicious activity checks. That was a bit frustrating although I could also understand why they were doing it since it was basically a security measure meant to protect me.

“dependable security”
Pros
PayPal has been really dependable for me especially when it comes to security. It's simple to use, works well for different needs and the customer support has been consistently helpful whenever I've needed it.
Cons
Some of the fees feel a bit higher than what other similar services charge.

“widely accepted by vendors”
Pros
Having everything linked under a single account is really convenient and it's accepted by lots of vendors both locally and internationally.
Cons
I haven't run into any downsides yet. PayPal also sends regular updates and emails so I'm usually informed right away if there are any issues.

“automatic currency conversion”
Pros
Sending and receiving money abroad has been really convenient with PayPal. It automatically converts the amount into my local currency which saves me from having to figure that out myself. I also appreciate that when I send money, they can track the transaction and sometimes hold it for a few days to make sure the recipient is legitimate. If anything goes wrong, like realizing it might be a scam, requesting a refund is very simple. You can simply hit the refund request button and the transfer may be stopped before the money fully goes through. PayPal really helps sort out situations like that. Their message center is also helpful whenever I need support and it's nice being able to monitor all my spending and balance in one place. It works well for paying bills, sending gifts, shopping at online stores that accept PayPal and even linking a credit or debit card.
Cons
The currency conversion fee feels a bit too high. When someone sent me $24, PayPal deducted $1.20 just for converting it to pesos. Other than that, it's still a very impressive e-payment app.

“Direct bank connection”
Pros
Widely accepted and inexpensive to use which saves us from needing a business credit card for purchases. It's also much simpler to connect directly to our bank account.
Cons
One frustrating issue is that it keeps prompting me to verify our non-profit status. Even after accepting the document, it asks for it again.

“Reliable for daily payments”
Pros
PayPal has been dependable for me, offers a solid product and is accepted almost everywhere which makes it really convenient to use.
Cons
One downside is that the website can be confusing to navigate at times. Creating new buttons or updating older ones is not always simple so it can take longer than expected to figure out where everything is. The fees are also higher compared to some other alternatives.

“instant transactions”
Pros
Back when I started selling on eBay in the early 2000s, PayPal was the first payment platform I relied on and I've continued using it ever since. It has consistently been a fast and secure way to handle online payments. Later, when I began working on music and needed a way to accept payments, choosing PayPal felt like the natural move. Transactions are instant and the security on both sides gives peace of mind to both the sender and the receiver. I get the key details I need to ship merchandise or send files by email and I feel confident knowing that both incoming and outgoing payments are protected. With phishing scams being so common now, PayPal's security tools make me feel much safer when sending money online. I've trusted it with my bank and card information for nearly 20 years and have never run into a single issue.
Cons
Like any payment processor, PayPal does take a fee for using its service. I understand that those charges are basically part of the deal but it would still be better if they were lower so creators could hold on to more of what they earn. It's frustrating when prices have to be adjusted just to cover processing percentages. That said, PayPal's fees are still lower than many others I've come across so this is only a very small downside overall.

“Payment links for clients”
Pros
Using this software has been very simple. It lets me take payments while I'm on the go and I can also send clients a payment link straight to their phone so they can pay whenever it works best for them.
Cons
Only thing I'd want is to have the money show up in my account instantly although I understand that isn't really possible with card processing software right now.

“fast processing”
Pros
After using PayPal for nearly 10 years, the biggest highlight for me has been the payment processing. It's consistently fast and dependable. A lot has changed over the years but the speed and reliability of their payments have stayed just as strong as I remember from the beginning.
Cons
My only real concern is the fees for sending and receiving money. I understand there are a lot of factors involved but it would still be better if they could lower the charges a bit.

“private card checkout”
Pros
It adds a reassuring layer between buyers and lesser-known sellers so credit card details don't have to be shared directly. That extra buffer makes online purchases feel both safer and more convenient.
Cons
The issue I had was with PayPal's two-step login authentication which didn't work properly for me. For a platform that puts such a big focus on security, the two-step verification really should function flawlessly.

“funds held for 21 days”
Pros
PayPal is convenient and simple and everything is laid out in a way that's pretty simple to find.
Cons
Dealing with customer service has been very unprofessional. On top of that, they hold your money for 21 days which is something I really can't work with. It also feels like the platform is built more for online product sales than for service-based businesses.

“Handy guest checkout”
Pros
One thing that really helps is that customers can complete checkout without having a PayPal account at all. They can simply pay with their credit or debit card the same way they normally would which makes the process feel familiar and convenient.
Cons
The downside is that the processing fees can build up pretty fast which feels like the trade-off for using a solution that's quick to integrate.
