“very user-friendly”
Pros
Using PayPal has been very convenient because the platform is user friendly and since so many people already use it, it's easily accessible for my clients as well.
Cons
One downside is that the processing fees tend to be higher compared to other software options.

“useful for overseas transfers”
Pros
Being able to receive money transfers even while I'm overseas has been really convenient and useful.
Cons
The part I really don't enjoy is how many days it takes for the money to finally transfer into my bank account.

“secure”
Pros
One of PayPal's best qualities is how user-friendly the interface is so setting up an account doesn't take much effort. Adding a bank account or credit card is also simple which lets us shop internationally and send or receive foreign payments without stressing about security or currency conversion. It also includes two-factor authentication which adds another layer of protection and helps keep our account secure.
Cons
Not happy with how much they charge for each transaction.

“cash card convenience”
Pros
Having the PayPal Cash Card is especially useful because it lets me use the money in my PayPal balance pretty much wherever I am.
Cons
I wasn't too happy about the fact that if my PayPal balance didn't have enough funds, it would pull the difference from my bank account. That said, I realize that's probably more on me than on PayPal itself.

“Global payments made simple”
Pros
Sending someone a payment link is really convenient and it makes it simple to get paid by people from anywhere in the world without needing them to do an EFT.
Cons
The fees are extremely high when receiving money from overseas, converting it into PayPal USD from the original source and then transferring it to my bank account in South Africa. It feels almost criminal.

“reliable transactions”
Pros
Whether I'm paying friends, coworkers, business contacts or organizations I'm involved with, PayPal has become my go-to for sending and receiving money.
Cons
As with most platforms, there's a bit of a learning curve at first but once I got familiar with it, it ended up working really well.

“Easy digital transfers”
Pros
It works really well for handling deposits and payments across most of what I need in the digital space which makes it very convenient to use.
Cons
Depositing checks can be inconsistent at times and some of them get rejected even when there doesn't seem to be any clear reason for it.

“Great business expense tracking”
Pros
Keeping business spending organized is much easier with PayPal because every transaction flows through a linked bank account. For my small business, I run all of my business purchases through PayPal which connects directly to my personal bank account. Using it this way makes it much simpler to separate business costs from my regular day-to-day personal spending.
Cons
One part of PayPal that feels off is the "Pay in 4" feature. It's clearly meant to work like Afterpay, where you can split a bigger purchase into four payments over the next two months and that can be really useful for larger business expenses. The frustrating part is that you have to reapply every single time and getting approved feels completely unpredictable. PayPal's system seems to check a mix of factors before deciding if you qualify but there's no real explanation of what those factors are or why they seem to matter in some cases and not in others. Even worse, customer support can't step in and change anything. The whole process is controlled by an algorithm and the staff can't override it or even explain why you were denied. In my case, I probably get approved only about half the time and that inconsistency makes the feature pretty frustrating to rely on.

“dependable payment tracking”
Pros
PayPal does a really good job of handling my transactions and keeping a clear record of all the payments coming into my business account. That makes tax season a whole lot easier to deal with. It's an excellent service for any business.
Cons
I really don't have any major issues or complaints about this product.

“fast payments”
Pros
For more than two years, PayPal has consistently worked well for me and I've been very satisfied with the service. The part I appreciate most is how quickly transactions go throughalong with the added confidence of using my cards securely.
Cons
I'd still like to see PayPal keep innovating when it comes to online transactions and security and it would be even better if it were accepted everywhere online as well as in supermarkets.

“Reliable for business growth”
Pros
We'd been using PayPal long before starting our own business and it's still something we plan to keep using as our business continues to grow.
Cons
At times payments don't go through immediately when using debit cards from smaller banks instead of the major ones.

Pros
Using PayPal has been really simple and it helps me keep money in my wallet without charging outrageous fees.

“secure international payments”
Pros
When it comes to sending money across borders, there really aren't many options that feel this reliable. PayPal offers a secure and convenient way to make payments, both locally and internationally.
Cons
Honestly I can't think of much to point out as a downside to the app.
