“supports gift cards”
Pros
Security is the biggest reason I keep using PayPal. It supports payments worldwide and even gift cards which are features both my clients and I really appreciate.
Cons
The only real downside is the high payment fees.

“Handy currency conversion”
Pros
Handling overseas customer payments with PayPal has been really convenient. The currency conversion feature is especially useful since many of my customers are abroad and regularly send money through PayPal. It's very accessible, quick to use and transactions are processed on time. I've also had a good experience with customer service because they are approachable and the app itself is simple to navigate.
Cons
Don't have any complaints about the app because I'm happy with everything it offers. If anything, I'd just love to see even more features added in the future.

“Responsive dispute support”
Pros
After using PayPal for more than five years, I can say the part I appreciate most is how quickly the team handles disputes and buyer claims. I started using it after friends and family recommended it and it has been reliable whenever I needed help. I've purchased items from different websites through my PayPal account and, on a few occasions, had to open disputes to recover my money. Each time, PayPal responded promptly and actually took the time to review and listen to my concerns.
Cons
One area where PayPal falls short for me is subscription management. I usually only realize I still have subscriptions active on different sites when I get an alert that money has already been taken from my PayPal account after the billing date. I really wish the app included a direct option to cancel free trials or recurring subscriptions that are linked to my account automatically.

“trusted payments”
Pros
Setting up a PayPal account is free, quick and very simple. It's a widely recognized and dependable payment gateway and payments go through extremely fast, often in about 5 seconds. Account-to-account transfers are instant and one of the biggest advantages is that the money is available immediately. Unlike some processors such as Stripe that can hold funds for a week or more, PayPal lets you use the money right away whether that means spending it directly or transferring it to your bank account within a minute of receiving it. Once the account is created, there's no need to keep entering your bank details again which makes online shopping much more convenient. It also helps protect your banking information, reducing the risk of fraud when buying remotely. If an order paid through PayPal never arrives, you may also be eligible for a refund under certain conditions. Payments in euros within the European Economic Area are commission-free as well. On top of that, customer support is available by email or phone. Another major strength is that almost everyone already knows PayPal. If you offer it on a checkout page or an online store, customers recognize it immediately and often already have an account which makes completing purchases much easier even when they don't have their credit card on hand. As a buyer, it's honestly very practical and I use it very regularly for that reason.
Cons
The part that bothers me most about PayPal is the high commission rate. It has always had a premium approach to fees and that can be a real drawback for e-commerce businesses trying to protect their margins. Customer service is also a weak point. Calling them can be frustrating because the wait times are often very long, with hold music going on for 5, 10, 15 or even 25 minutes before anyone answers. And when there is an issue, it can be difficult and exhausting to reach the right department or the specific person who can actually solve the problem. Another concern is account security. If someone gets hold of your password, purchases can be made without your knowledge so it's very important to choose a strong and hard-to-guess password. The administrative side can also be annoying since PayPal often asks for a lot of verification documents and paperwork. On top of that, there are geographical restrictions, as PayPal is not available in certain countries, including parts of Africa and the Middle East.

“swift & secure billing”
Pros
Billing tracking and payment processing are handled quickly and very efficiently which makes staying on top of transactions much easier.
Cons
It's one of the most effective and dependable ways to run business transactions, make purchases and receive payments, all while giving a real sense of security. The only thing that could make it even better would be lower fees on each transaction.

“Widely accepted”
Pros
One of the best things about PayPal is how many online websites already support it so I don't have to type in my credit card, debit card or bank account details every time I make a purchase. It's basically the only payment app I rely on besides paying directly with my cards or bank account and I also use it to send and receive money directly with other people.
Cons
My biggest issue with it is the PayPal credit option since my credit card application never gets approved. I really wish they would loosen the approval requirements, more like student cards such as the Discover Student Cashback Credit Card and make their credit options more accessible than they are now.

“fast, safe and reliable”
Pros
Payments are quick, the app is simple to use and it feels secure and dependable. Knowing my money is protected definitely gives me more peace of mind.
Cons
There really isn't much to complain about. The app has logged me out a few times, maybe three times but I was able to sign back in without any trouble.

“Too expensive”
Pros
Getting started with PayPal is still very simple and using it day to day is pretty hassle-free. Receiving payments is easy, sending invoices doesn't take much effort, transfers happen quickly and the whole interface has a nice, friendly look to it.
Cons
The biggest downside is really the cost especially for 2021. There are plenty of other payment platforms available now that let you collect payments without taking such a large share of your revenue.

“global payments made secure”
Pros
Running payments through PayPal makes doing business worldwide feel much smaller and more manageable. It lets people send and receive money from practically anywhere while keeping both their funds and their customers' payments safe. Sending money out and getting paid is very simple and the currency conversion feature is especially useful. The instant transfer option is another big plus since it moves money into a bank account right away. I also really value being able to keep received funds as PayPal cash for other purchases or transfer them into a linked checking account. Even with plenty of other payment platforms out there, PayPal stands out because of its features and overall convenience and it feels like an essential tool for any business.
Cons
Between instant transfer charges and standard payment processing fees, it definitely takes a noticeable cut of your revenue. If those costs were reduced or removed in some situations, it would be the clear first choice for almost every business.

“Credit card access in app”
Pros
Having credit card access inside the app makes a big difference for me. I can send money and receive money from the same place and it gives me confidence that transactions will go through without any problems.
Cons
I'm not too pleased with certain payment types sometimes take longer to process than I expect they should.

Pros
Pretty much anyone can get started with it almost instantly and there's barely any learning curve at all.
Cons
The features aren't the most wide-ranging but for basic integration and everyday use, PayPal is still the go-to option.

Thanks to its friendly interface, well-chosen design colors and the security methods it includes it is very easy to use.

“Used by many networks”
Pros
It's been really simple to use, a lot of networks support it and that makes it even more convenient. On top of that, I trust it with my payments which is a big reason I keep using it.
Cons
One thing that does happen sometimes is money people send me gets placed on hold even though I'm not a seller or running any kind of business.

Paypal is probably the best-known payment processor out there and people already trust it a lot. That alone makes it a good option to have.

“protected transactions”
Pros
Two-factor authentication has been the standout feature for me as a regular user. Since almost all of my shopping happens online now, it gives me real peace of mind knowing my transactions and financial details feel protected.
Cons
I'd like to see better onboarding for personal users. It feels like there are quite a few features available that I still haven't really explored or taken advantage of.

“Very safe”
Pros
Paypal is used almost everywhere which is one of the biggest reasons I keep using it. Getting started is easy and the platform is simple to use once you're set up. I also like that it brings together online shopping and peer-to-peer payments in one place. On top of that, its security record has been excellent and the fact that it works internationally makes it even more useful.
Cons
One downside with Paypal is that the in-store payment options are still pretty limited. Another thing that could be better is splitting payments since it doesn't feel as simple or convenient as it does with some other services.
