“Secure payments”
Pros
One of the most helpful things about this software is being able to create invoices and shipping labels instantly right from the platform, with the customer's details already filled into each purchase form. Another big advantage is how convenient it is for handling bill payments. The security is also a strong point, along with how simple the platform is to use and the variety of options it offers.
Cons
A downside is that PayPal charges fees, both for incoming money and for transferring money out. Refunds can also take some time to go through and that's really where the drawbacks are for me.

“low fees”
Pros
A big reason I rely on PayPal is that a lot of my work clients prefer to pay through it. Payments show up right away which helps a lot when I need access to the money quickly and the fees for receiving payment are fairly low. It's also convenient to send payment requests to customers and the app makes that process simple.
Cons
One thing I'd still like to see improved is a better way to track all the expenses and incoming payments in my PayPal account.

“Good buyer protection”
Pros
Handling payments for online shopping and small online businesses is much more convenient with this app. With so many scams online, PayPal helps reduce that risk by offering secure transactions, buyer protection and customer service that is responsive and genuinely helpful.
Cons
The fees are not overly expensive but they could still be lower. There are also times when payments get placed on hold for a few days.

“quick integration”
Pros
The security features make a big difference with this product. It's very easy to use and the integration process works well too.
Cons
Honestly I haven't run into any real issues. The software does exactly what it needs to do.

“Clear transaction tracking”
Pros
One thing that really works well is the timely and detailed transaction history. It's clear organized and makes it simple to keep track of every payment and movement in the account.
Cons
A downside is that the withdrawal settings are quite limited which can be a bit restrictive when trying to manage payouts the way you want.

“reliable for global transfers”
Pros
Handling international business payments has been where PayPal has impressed me the most especially with the detailed reporting provided for every transaction. The interface is simple to follow and connecting my bank account didn't take much effort. Since I started using PayPal the difficulties I used to face with international online payments have basically been resolved.
Cons
Customer support needs to be improved. When an issue comes up and you contact their team, the response can take longer than it should. On top of that the fees for international transactions are somewhat expensive.

“outstanding support”
Pros
Managing my online payments with PayPal has been really easy. The customer support is even better. I use it for all my online transactions especially when a deal seems like it could be a scam.
Cons
I don't have any complaints about the software at all.

Paypal is very userfriendly even for someone just getting started. I really appreciate how widely accepted it is across so many platforms around the world.

The fees are still quite high although PayPal remains a very secure website for online payments.

“Great security”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages of PayPal is the peace of mind around security since I don't have to constantly worry about keeping transactions protected.
Cons
A good improvement would be speeding up the conflict resolution process when issues come up.

“flexible payment options”
Pros
Handling online purchases feels much safer with this company because I can pay without using my bank account directly which helps protect me from fraudulent activity. I'm also able to track what I spent and see which company I made the purchase from. On top of that PayPal gives me more than one payment option which makes it even more convenient.
Cons
I really do not have many negatives to mention about this company, except that getting in touch with customer service can sometimes take a while.

“simple setup”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages is how widely accepted it is. That's really what matters most to me because I can use it across a lot of different platforms and places. Also getting the account set up is pretty easy.
Cons
My biggest frustration is that they change the features around too often. Creating custom buttons used to be simple but now that option feels buried and much harder to find. On top of that the fees feel higher than they should be for what the service offers.

“Biometric login”
Pros
Paying for almost anything online feels really convenient with PayPal since all it takes is logging into your account or even better, using your phone's biometric login to approve a payment. It saves you from having to look for your card or wallet and re-enter long card numbers every single time.
Cons
I honestly haven't run into any downsides. Everything works as it should, the features are all useful and the usability has been consistently solid. It's definitely something I would recommend.

“useful business tools”
Pros
Navigating the site is very simple with everything organized into clear sections that make tasks simple to complete. I appreciate that it feels secure and reliable and the extra features for business use make the platform even more valuable.
Cons
My only complaint is that there are times when PayPal seems to make assumptions about what I'm doing instead of reaching out for clarification. I've had my account frozen once or twice and while getting it sorted out wasn't difficult, it still created a setback in the moment.

“Convenient checkout”
Pros
Because a rare autoimmune condition often limits my mobility I do a lot of my shopping online and have essential items delivered. With my PayPal account, I can complete purchases quickly and securely in almost every online store. During checkout, I'm taken straight to the PayPal login, where I can choose whether the purchase is private and should be paid from my personal checking account or business-related and booked through my company account. After reviewing the purchase amount and confirming it, I'm sent right back to the online shop to finish the order. It honestly could hardly be more convenient. For my own online academy built on Moodle, I also use PayPal to accept course payments directly. That's a real advantage for both me and my customers since they can choose from three payment methods. Those are PayPal, credit card or bank transfer. I only need to manage one payment interface while still giving customers multiple ways to pay. At the end of each month, I download the account statements so I can record income and expenses properly. If I need to look something up in between, PayPal gives me enough options to research transactions. Since I already have my own accounting system, I haven't used PayPal's invoicing feature yet but I do plan to test it in the future to automate even more tasks. Most recently, I've also started using the QR code set feature.
Cons
One part that initially put me off a little was it's API functionality. Thankfully, at the time I was building my website with WebsiteX5Pro and it included a PayPal payment module that I could integrate without much complexity so I didn't have to dive into API programming myself.

“secure payments from everywhere”
Pros
Compared with most online payment options, PayPal is accepted almost everywhere and feels much more secure and convenient to use. It is one of the most recognized payment methods online, right behind VISA in acceptance and its overall usefulness is noticeably better than many other processors. The mobile app is incredibly practical too, to the point that it feels like carrying a bank in my pocket whenever I am out. Another big advantage is that it is free to receive and send payments worldwide which makes it even more appealing. The integration with websites especially Shopify, has also been very valuable because it lets me accept payments through PayPal without any hassle. On top of that the Android app does an excellent job of helping me monitor everything in one place and I regularly use it to send money without running into any issues.
Cons
There really are not many negatives with PayPal. The only thing I would point out is that its fees are a bit higher than what some competing services charge. Even so, that is not a major issue for me because the value you get from the platform makes up for the extra cost. I would still love to see more features and options added to the Android app over time. One improvement I especially hope they make is adding a setting that clearly shows how much the recipient will actually get after fees before the payment is sent.

“No monthly fee”
Pros
Setting up a PayPal account is quick and the platform is simple to use. I also appreciate the added layer of security it gives for online purchases and transactions. Another big plus is that it's affordable since there's no monthly fee.
Cons
One downside is that there's a charge if you want to move money to your bank account instantly. It's also known for freezing accounts at times which can turn into a real headache.

“protected card info”
Pros
One thing I really appreciate is being able to keep all of my credit card information protected instead of using it directly on websites. I was also really happy when they introduced the PayPal Cash Card.
Cons
The one feature I still wish they would add is mobile check cashing with the camera, similar to what my SunTrust bank account allows. It would be wonderful because it could save me from paying fees to cash checks at Amscot.

“Safe and clear payments”
Pros
I like that it is user friendly and that everything is laid out clearly, security is strong, the level of privacy is high and the fees are reasonable.
Cons
Once there is more activity on the account, it can get suspended for several days and at times the funds are put on hold without any clear explanation.
