“Good integrations with fraud detection”
Pros
One thing I appreciate most about PayPal is how well it handles sending and receiving payments. The website integrations are useful and features like fraud detection, the refund policy and priority customer support add a lot of value, along with several other helpful capabilities.
Cons
A downside with PayPal is that the dashboard supports only a limited number of currencies. It's also restricted in certain countries and even receiving payments is only available in specific regions.

“no free transfers”
Pros
Sending money through PayPal is incredibly convenient and the best part is being able to do it without getting charged any fees.
Cons
One thing I like less about PayPal is that I need to use my bank card to withdraw funds instead of being able to use a PayPal card directly.

“Worldwide payments made simple”
Pros
It's very simple to work with and it lets me send money to people all over the world.
Cons
The only downside is that moving money from PayPal to a bank account can take a while.

“handy foreign exchange”
Pros
Using it with friends and clients in different parts of the world has been really convenient. We can send and receive money in multiple currencies and it has become especially helpful over the last few weeks as my business continues to grow.
Cons
One frustrating part is that payments can get held for 48 hours when someone is paying for a service. I want the process to stay simple for my clients so having to ask them to get on their computer and confirm that the service was delivered adds extra work that I'd rather avoid.

“Solid money transfers”
Pros
Whether I'm using it as an administrator or as a customer, PayPal offers really solid options for handling money transfers. It's simple to use and accessible almost anywhere in the world.
Cons
What I'd really like to see improved is the payment commission since it feels a bit too high. I'd also prefer a simpler way to change my business name.

“free money holding”
Pros
It works well for keeping my money safely in one place for as long as I need without charging extra fees just to hold it there. It feels a lot like having a bank account but without the monthly cost. Instead, they only take a small cut from the payments I receive at the time the money comes in.
Cons
The part I like least is the fee on very small payments. If I get something like $2 through an app, PayPal can take 40 cents which means I'm left with only $1.60.

“Fast currency conversion”
Pros
PayPal has really kept up over time. It's especially valuable for my business because I can convert currencies incredibly quickly with just a click. Another thing I appreciate is that it gives you a way to promote a service you already use to friends and family and even make a little money from it.
Cons
One thing I'd like to see down the road is an overdraft option.

“superb WooCommerce integration”
Pros
One of the best things about PayPal is how widely it's accepted so it's rare to run into a place that doesn't support it. You can connect multiple payment methods without much trouble and it also integrates well with platforms like WooCommerce, Zapier and WordPress if you need to collect payments that way. It's also really convenient for getting paid back by friends or collecting money people owe you for business.
Cons
My only real frustration with PayPal comes up when I have something like a $10 Visa or Mastercard gift card and want to use it toward a $15 purchase. Since most online stores won't let you split payment methods on a single item, I need some way to move that gift card amount into PayPal but they don't make it simple to send money from a credit card or prepaid gift card. The workaround is creating an invoice, sending it to another email and then paying it with the gift card. That creates two problems. First you have to pay a fee which honestly I'd be okay with and second, the whole process is just a hassle. It would be much better if they simply let prepaid gift card balances be added to your PayPal balance and charged the fee directly. It's annoying but definitely not enough to stop me from using it.

“All-in-one invoicing”
Pros
From day-to-day payments to invoicing, PayPal handles just about everything this organization needs. We can send and receive money, create invoices, track both spending and incoming payments and manage a lot of important tasks through this one program. Every feature included feels useful and relevant to how we operate.
Cons
The biggest downside overall is reaching customer service when problems come up. On top of that language barriers and communication gaps can make it harder to get the help we need.

“safe checkout”
Pros
Using PayPal has been a really convenient way to pay across lots of different companies. It lets you shop online and send money without entering your credit card details every time which adds an extra sense of security to those transactions. I also appreciate being able to monitor my purchases through the PayPal website since it gives enough information to help me stay on top of my finances. Another feature I value is the choice between sending money as a "Gift" or a "Purchase," because it gives you flexibility depending on how much buyer protection you want.
Cons
One thing I would change is how PayPal purchases appear in my bank account. I wish the transaction details showed up more clearly in my banking app. For example listing something like a Twitch subscription instead of only showing it as a generic PayPal charge. I'd also prefer if transfers from my account didn't take quite so long to process although I realize that may be partly due to my bank and not entirely PayPal.

“reliable industry standard”
Pros
A lot of buyers and sellers already use it which makes it simple to get started and quick to set up. Both the mobile app and the desktop site work reliably so it offers excellent options for people on both the selling and buying side.
Cons
I really don't have any meaningful complaints since it's simple to use and has become the standard across the industry.

“handy invoices”
Pros
After more than five years with PayPal, it has become my go-to option for getting paid by US clients. I work as a freelancer and also as an Assistant Software Engineer so having a reliable payment service matters a lot. The transaction fees are quite reasonable and PayPal.me has been especially useful because it lets me receive payments and even tips very quickly. It's also convenient for requesting money and sending invoices without wasting time.
Cons
It works better for me than any other payment gateway but from a developer's perspective, integration can be frustrating at times. Connecting it to websites and mobile apps is not always easy mainly because some parts of the documentation are not well written or detailed enough.

“protects user info”
Pros
Running my business with this has been a really positive experience. It works reliably and helps me stay on top of my finances without any hassle. I also feel confident that my personal information is protected and secure. On top of that the fees are very affordable so I would absolutely recommend this software.
Cons
The only downside I've run into is that it occasionally places holds on funds which can take a few days before the money becomes available.

“Make payments across currencies”
Pros
Connecting it with an e-commerce store is very easy. It's convenient for handling my payments in different currencies from practically anywhere. The mobile app is also user-friendly and helps make my transactions much faster and the device authentication adds an extra layer of security.
Cons
It's a really reliable option for secure online payments.

“no monthly charges or setup costs”
Pros
PayPal has been excellent to use. It feels reliable and I appreciate that it works well whether you're using it personally or for business. The customer service team has been friendly and informed whenever I've needed help. Another big plus is that there are no monthly charges, no setup costs and no minimum processing requirements.
Cons
If you use PayPal for business, transaction fees do apply.

Pros
Accepted in many places around the world, PayPal feels very reliable. It has been around for a long time which adds to the trust and the platform also feels secure when handling payments.

“no account needed”
Pros
Using PayPal has been one of the most convenient parts of running payments. The biggest advantage is how simple it is to use and customers don't even need to create an account anymore since they can pay directly with a credit card through PayPal. That change has helped me bring in more revenue especially from people who were reluctant to register for yet another payment platform.
Cons
PayPal's fees aren't outrageously high but I still think they could be a bit more vendor-friendly.
