“Works well for nonprofits”
Pros
Using PayPal for my small non-profit has been pretty simple especially when it comes to setting it up for donations and product purchases. It also takes a lot of the hassle out of sending invoices to customers and clients which helps keep payment processing more manageable.
Cons
Biggest downside is the fees and the time it takes for donations and other incoming funds to be released. Small non-profits often end up waiting at least 30 days to access donated money and that can create a real obstacle when funds are needed sooner.

“Superb for expense management”
Pros
It really shines for expense management thanks to how widely it is accepted almost everywhere. The invoicing features are laid out in a logical way so requesting client payments feels simple without having to rely on a separate accounting platform. The app is very user friendly and the real-time notifications give me a clear view of cash flow as money comes in. It has been a dependable foundation for both business and personal transactions.
Cons
Customer support is probably the biggest downside since it leans too much on automated responses that do not handle more specific issues very well. I have also run into occasional bugs and some data management problems with transaction history especially when exporting larger date ranges for tax reporting. On top of that, the fees for receiving international payments can feel a bit high compared with newer competitors.

“great for international payments”
Pros
It lets you send and receive money in many countries, shop at international stores and use multiple currencies something especially valuable for anyone who handles transactions outside Brazil.
Cons
The fees are quite high especially for currency conversion and international payments. Some users also feel that customer support is not very responsive and can be slow particularly when there are issues involving disputes.

“simple to keep track of every transaction”
Pros
Getting paid and sending money through PayPal is really convenient. The whole process feels fast and well organized and it is very simple to keep track of every transaction.
Cons
Certain transaction fees can build up over time, depending on the type of payment though the convenience usually makes it worth it. There are also times when funds get held or delayed but that is understandable because of the security checks.

“Safer checkout on every site”
Pros
I really appreciate not having to hand over my credit card or bank information to every merchant. At checkout, I just sign in with PayPal and that feels much safer. It is especially reassuring when I am buying from smaller or unfamiliar websites where I would normally think twice before entering my card details.
Cons
At the same time this is probably PayPal's most frustrating issue. Its automated security system can be far too aggressive. If it notices a sudden jump in sales or flags a login as suspicious, it may lock your balance for anywhere from 21 to 180 days. For freelancers and small businesses, that kind of hold can seriously damage cash flow.

“Polished invoices”
Pros
Getting invoices out quickly is the biggest win here. I can put together and send a polished invoice in under two minutes even when I'm using the mobile app. It also cuts down on the hassle of following up with clients myself since the system automatically sends reminders and the "Pay Now" button makes paying by card or PayPal balance really simple for them. Most of the time, the funds show up in my account right away which makes a big difference for managing cash flow.
Cons
The pricing does feel a little high compared with some bank transfer alternatives. I understand that convenience comes at a cost but seeing 2.99% plus a fixed fee taken from every invoice is a bit painful especially on bigger payments. And although the mobile app works really well for creating invoices, the reporting section on the desktop site feels somewhat outdated and awkward when it's time to review quarterly earnings.

“Fast and safe tranfers”
Pros
One thing that keeps me using it is how simple it is to use. Sending and receiving money happens fast and I feel safe whenever I use it for online purchases. It's accepted in so many places too which makes paying and getting paid pretty simple.
Cons
The fees do feel somewhat expensive especially when it comes to business-related transactions. There are also times when funds stay on hold longer than I expect and that can be really frustrating.

“Secure payments with peace of mind”
Pros
PayPal makes online transactions feel both simple and secure. The platform is simple to use, accepted by a huge number of websites and sellers and adds an extra layer of protection for purchases which gives me real peace of mind whenever I shop online or send money.
Cons
What I liked least about it is that the fees can sometimes seem a bit high especially on smaller transactions or when currency conversion is involved.

“approachable support team”
Pros
It works really well for sending money to friends and family and it's also useful for creating payment links for customers in other countries. Whenever I've run into a problem, their customer support team has been consistently helpful.
Cons
It feels like one of those platforms you almost have to use because it's everywhere in ecommerce even though I'd rather not rely on it. They've put holds on my funds more than once and pulling the reports I need for bookkeeping is harder than it should be.

“Affordable option”
Pros
It gave us an affordable way to take payments over the phone and we also use it as a backup payment processor on our website. That helps PayPal users complete checkout faster on our site. On top of that, our subscription program manages recurring billing through PayPal as well.
Cons
My only real complaint is that customers have to leave our site to use it. I'd much rather have it built in directly on the page, the way Stripe handles it.

“powerful security”
Pros
PayPal is fast, user-friendly and provides a very solid level of security for online payments. Transactions go through instantly and the purchase protection really works well.
Cons
The fees can be a little high and customer support is not always the quickest to respond. Overall it's a reliable service that I use every day without any issues.

“positive experience overall”
Pros
Using it online has been pretty simple and I've run into very few problems with the system. I've never had any theft issues or unauthorized access to my account which makes it feel very secure to me. It's also useful that you can add the Mastercard to your wallet. Another feature I appreciate is the Pay in Four option and being able to convert PayPal Credit into a Mastercard is a nice bonus.
Cons
There have been a couple of times when I selected PayPal Credit but the charge was taken from my checking account instead. Since I usually choose PayPal Credit for online purchases, it's really frustrating when I make that selection and they still debit my checking account.

“Low fees help small businesses”
Pros
Transferring funds is pretty simple and the fees stay low. That makes things both affordable and convenient for fellow small business owners.
Cons
The rules around what they consider a violation of their terms can be frustrating. Some of the reasons used to ban members seem outlandish and unnecessary for most people affected.

“PayPal Debit card is a plus”
Pros
It makes getting paid really quick and convenient. I can move the money over to my regular bank account right away which is a big plus. Another thing I appreciate is having a PayPal Debit card available after I receive payment for services and it's nice to earn rewards when I use that card.
Cons
Something that bothers me is the gas station restriction. If I have less than $75 in my PayPal account, I cannot pay at the pump and have to go inside to prepay instead. That ends up being pretty inconvenient and I wish there were a better way to handle it.

“handles everything reliably”
Pros
Having it for years has made business transactions feel much more secure and convenient. Whether I am buying something, sending money or getting paid, it has handled all of it reliably. It also helps that PayPal is accepted by so many businesses so I can use it in most transactions without any hassle.
Cons
Fees for sending money can get expensive depending on who the payment is going to. That applies to transfers sent to family as well as payments made to businesses for services. On top of that, payroll deposits and transfers from PayPal to a bank account can take a while to process.

“Smooth integration with Shopify”
Pros
Running my business has been much easier with it because it works really well for invoicing, connects smoothly with WooCommerce and Shopify and helps me keep track of transactions in one place.
Cons
An issue that comes up from time to time is with PayPal's fraud protection. Transactions that are clearly fraudulent do not always get flagged the way they should.

“Tracks transactions well”
Pros
Coming from China I'm much more used to PayPal Express Checkout so it's the payment option I naturally prefer. It makes paying more convenient and also gives me a simpler way to keep track of transactions.
Cons
On the downside the customer service hasn't been very satisfying especially when payment disputes take a long time to resolve. The safety of funds also feels weaker compared with paying directly through a bank and that matters a lot when shopping online.
