Whether I'm using it for personal payments or business transactions, PayPal fits both needs really well. The tools keep everything organized and the level of security I associate with the PayPal name gives me real confidence when handling financial transactions here.

I honestly don't have any complaints. It has worked perfectly for me, I fully recommend it and I've been using it for many years without issues.

Their wide scale and reach are what I appreciate most. It makes buying things online very convenient whenever a merchant offers PayPal as a payment option.

The fraud protection can be a bit confusing to figure out. For instance, if you're using it to purchase secondary-market event tickets for a game or concert, it's worth calling customer service first to confirm whether that type of purchase would be covered if you end up getting scammed.

It does a really good job of showing useful details around personal and recurring billing in a clear, convenient way.

Cons

At times, the notifications feel a little distracting especially when I'm only using it for recurring billing. That said, the reminders about new features can still feel like a nice bonus.

Using it for online payments feels much safer since I don't have to share my credit card details with third-party sites.

The downside is that it still isn't accepted everywhere and government agencies usually don't offer PayPal as a payment option.

I run a small business and PayPal makes the payment side really simple for me. Getting paid is quick and simple and it's helpful to have everything in one place where I can look up past payments, send refunds and track packages without jumping between different tools.

The frustrating part is that they still place holds on your money. If it's a local transaction within the same city or state, it feels like those funds should be released much faster. Since I do web design and only invoice after the work is finished, payment should be available right away instead of taking another 3 to 7 days after verifying the buyer received the product.

Almost anyone can figure it out and it makes sending and receiving money across the world really convenient. Their customer support is also very helpful to me whenever an issue comes up. On top of that the platform does a solid job protecting my information so it's not easy for scammers to access my money.

At times, PayPal may limit or freeze an account without any notice which can be really frustrating.

PayPal has been one of the best choices for me and my family when it comes to sending money back and forth. It was actually much more affordable for one of my relatives to send money home compared with using wire transfers or Western Union. The payments feel secure and withdrawing the money is also very convenient.

Customer support was the disappointing part. After my laptop security was compromised, a hacker managed to send out 100 USD without me knowing. I reported it as soon as I noticed but the response from their support team was below average. They came across as uninterested in resolving the problem or taking action against the person who stole my money.

Honestly there wasn't anything positive that stood out to me. PayPal really needs to rethink how the company operates.

Sending and receiving money with PayPal is incredibly easy and the whole platform is very simple to use. It offers excellent options for creating custom payment pages and the scripted website pages are easy to set up with multiple ways for customers to pay. The addition of PIX has made the payment process even more convenient. It's a very useful tool for handling transactions worldwide and payments received in foreign currencies are automatically converted into the local default currency. Creating an account is quick and the mobile app works flawlessly as well.

One thing I really appreciate about PayPal is the added security for my credit and debit card details. It gives me peace of mind knowing my information is protected from fraud and from sketchy online sellers. Since merchants never get direct access to my card information, they can't just withdraw money without my approval which makes online purchases feel much safer.

The biggest downside is how long it can take to receive payments. In some cases, the wait can stretch to a month or even longer which can be pretty frustrating.

Service itself is very good but customer support still needs improvement so communication can be handled more efficiently. Hopefully that gets better soon on such a major platform.

Payment processing on PayPal is impressively fast. Money sent through the platform arrives almost instantly and incoming payments are handled just as quickly. That kind of speed is exactly what people want today, whether they run a business or just need a reliable way to pay online.

Despite how fast it works, PayPal has been very limiting in my case. It does not allow users in some countries, including mine, to receive funds so I could only create an account for online purchases by linking my credit or debit card. The only time I had full access to an account that could receive money was when I lived in South Africa since PayPal fully supports all its services there. It honestly feels out of touch that a global online payment platform still blocks people in certain regions from accessing the same opportunities simply because of where they live. On top of that PayPal banned two of my accounts without any warning or explanation and I have been unable to make transactions ever since even though I can still log in. I tried repeatedly to get a reason from support but got nowhere. I even submitted a ticket asking them to close the accounts and after about two years, nothing has been done. At this point, I have moved to four other reputable global payment processors and use them in the same way I used PayPal, without running into any issues. They even allow me to receive funds in my own country which makes PayPal's treatment feel especially frustrating and unfair.

What I appreciate most about this software is how quickly I can send money to other members of the PayPal community. It has also made paying for my online purchases feel smooth and convenient.

Cons

Dark mode for nighttime use would be great. Having a black screen option built in would help with readability and make it more comfortable on the eyes.

Something I really enjoy about PayPal is being able to send money to my debit card instantly.

Cons

Instant transfers to debit cards do cost a bit more now but it's still within a reasonable range.
