“Supports Venmo”
Pros
Venmo support, prepaid cards and several other account types can all be used with the service which makes it really convenient.
Cons
Whenever I send money, I have to specify what the payment is for every single time.

“gives wider payment access”
Pros
It's really useful for making payments in countries and on platforms that don't support conventional options like electronic bank transfers.
Cons
That said, it doesn't function like a regular banking app with a wider set of features such as adding beneficiaries or purchasing prepaid tokens.

“simple sending & recieving”
Pros
Whenever I need to receive or process payments for my business, PayPal is the platform I rely on. I used it back when I was running a small eBay store and I still use it now while managing my cosmetics company. It also works well for paying my employees and since Xoom is part of PayPal, I use that too for sending payments to team members overseas. Overall, PayPal has been the best option for my needs.
Cons
The only downside is that PayPal tends to hold your money when you're a new vendor. That said, I understand it's done to protect buyers so it's something I can live with. Once you build up around 100 positive ratings, your funds start getting released immediately.

“Works across many countries”
Pros
One of the best things about PayPal is how widely it works. I can use it across different countries, unlike many other payment options that are only available in a limited number of places.
Cons
Honestly every PayPal feature has been impressive to use and I would highly recommend the software.

“popular choice for customers”
Pros
Having PayPal available as a payment method helps bring in more paying customers because it is such a widely recognized and trusted option.
Cons
The fees are on the higher side, the reporting can be a bit difficult to work with and I am not always satisfied with how they handle dispute decisions.

“clear fees”
Pros
Its wide acceptance is a big advantage. It has been around for years so pretty much everyone knows the brand and already trusts it. The interface works well enough and it is clear how sending, receiving and fees are handled. Mobile logins can be a little glitchy sometimes but aside from that it does the job effectively.
Cons
One concern is the reputation it has for often siding with buyers instead of sellers. That can be beneficial depending on which side of the transaction you are on but it also opens the door for people to take advantage of the system.

“Good shipping value”
Pros
Adding an item to our website and attaching a payment link has worked really well for us. It lets us sell without needing an extra e-commerce layer or taking on that added expense which is a big plus. The shipping value has also been very good.
Cons
We haven't really made use of the integration features yet.

“versatile payments”
Pros
Paypal's strong security measures give me a lot of confidence when handling transactions. I also appreciate how versatile it is and the wide range of ways I can use it.
Cons
Something that could use some work is the mobile app especially the user interface which could be improved to feel more polished and user-friendly.

“user-friendly interface”
Pros
Using PayPal has been a really positive experience. The interface is simple to navigate, the design feels colorful and user-friendly and it lets you transfer money to bank accounts without hassle. I also appreciate being able to link both credit and debit cards for online purchases and the customer protection system adds a lot of confidence. Overall, it's an excellent platform.
Cons
One downside is that the transaction fees can feel a little expensive at times although it's still acceptable considering everything it offers.

“Builds customer confidence”
Pros
Customers feel more confident when they see a logo they already know and trust and on the backend our accounting team has no trouble understanding the payment flow and managing transactions.
Cons
It would be nice if they added a "buy now, pay later" feature, along with more customization options for the basket page on our website.

“brand keeps evolving”
Pros
One thing I really appreciate about PayPal is how long they've been around and how consistently they adapt to changing industry needs.
Cons
I'd rather the app worked more like Venmo when it comes to sending money. Right now, the process feels like it involves too many steps.

“reliable for years”
Pros
PayPal has been around for a long time and over the years it has consistently shown itself to be a secure and reliable way to handle money online.
Cons
After using it for many years, I honestly can't think of a single complaint at this point.

“Strong buyer protection”
Pros
One of the best things about PayPal is the protection it gives when you buy something online. In tricky transactions, it often helps you get a refund which makes internet purchases feel much safer. It's widely accepted so it works really well as an alternative to using a credit card. It's also very handy for small transfers between friends since the money arrives right away and those personal transfers are usually free.
Cons
For ecommerce, PayPal is very convenient to use but the fees for merchants are quite high. That may also be one reason why it still hasn't become very common in face-to-face retail purchases.

“safe for online purchases”
Pros
After using PayPal for a long time, I'd definitely recommend it. I use it for all kinds of online purchases, whether they're from well-known secure sellers or places I'm less familiar with. It consistently gives me the sense of safety and security I want when paying online. Another part I really appreciated is being able to keep all my payments together in one place.
Cons
One minor downside is that the app takes a bit longer to load when starting up especially on Android and PC compared with most other apps. It can be a little frustrating when I'm in a hurry but once it finally opens, everything works just fine from there.

“trustworthy bank alternative”
Pros
PayPal has been fast, convenient and above all very trustworthy to use. It can work as an alternative to a bank, with lower rates and in my experience that makes the short sign-up process more than worth it. Everything can be handled from home in complete privacy, while still offering as much, if not even more, security than my own bank.
Cons
The only drawback that really comes to mind is that customer service can be difficult to reach and the fees can be higher than what you might get with a typical merchant account. I also find it challenging to speak directly with a representative about my account.

“Quick setup”
Pros
Getting started with PayPal takes almost no time. You can begin using it right away even without having your debit or credit card physically with you. There are plenty of card options and services available so it gives you a lot to choose from. The interface is simple to navigate and the website feels very secure and well protected.
Cons
Can't point to anything negative about PayPal. Their security has consistently been strong and the one time an issue slipped through, they resolved it right away. If a security concern does come up, they will need to talk with you by phone rather than through chat or messages.

“Protected personal info”
Pros
These days having a service that keeps personal information protected really matters and PayPal gives me that confidence even in a world that often feels unsecure. Getting into my account is easy whether I'm logging in online or using the automated phone system. The information is accurate, simple to verify and it's very convenient to look back at previous activity whenever I need to.
Cons
Every now and then, the prompts in the automated phone system can be a little hard to figure out when my situation is unusual. That said, once I reach a live representative, the customer service is always excellent.
