“pay anywhere, anytime”
Pros
Being able to send or receive money in your own currency from practically anywhere at any time is a huge advantage. PayPal is more than just an online bank for getting transfers from regular clients. It is also a useful option for collecting payments from different GPT sites which makes it almost essential on many of those platforms. On top of that you can connect your cards and convert currencies to pay for all kinds of services. Whether someone is young or old, using standard currencies or not, PayPal feels like a financial platform built to welcome everyone.
Cons
With cybercrime being such a big issue today, the safety of using PayPal is still a real concern. The fact that PayPal has been hacked before and could potentially be hacked again, is hard to ignore. There is also the risk of accounts being suddenly limited or blocked and many users say this happens without a clear explanation. Another downside is that if you want a very quick signup process just to cash out right away, this probably is not the best platform for that.

“flexible transfers across accounts”
Pros
Running payments through PayPal has been really convenient for me. It accepts money from several different sources which is something I appreciate a lot. I also like being able to use funds from linked accounts or directly from my PayPal balance. That setup is especially helpful when managing multiple businesses and more than one account because it gives me a lot of flexibility.
Cons
The biggest downside with PayPal is the processing delay. On top of that the transfer and cash-out fees are pretty high. Even though the platform is very convenient, it can get expensive when moving different amounts of money from one place to another. There is a plus in that you can get a PayPal card to avoid transfer fees but as someone managing multiple businesses and several accounts, those higher rates still end up being a frustration.

“worldwide freelance transactions”
Pros
One of the biggest reasons I recommend PayPal is its worldwide acceptance. It's used by a huge number of websites and clients especially for freelance payments which makes it very practical for my work. No matter where I am or where my clients are based, I can still receive payments from around the world without much trouble.
Cons
When something urgent comes up support is bad. They only provide chat support and it can take quite a while since there's no clear response time. In my case, my issue wasn't resolved until the next day. Another thing I don't like is that when you receive a payment, you can't always withdraw it immediately. With the recent update, PayPal transfers the money to your bank account on its own and that can take 1 to 2 business days.

“Rewards with PayPal checkout”
Pros
The best thing about PayPal is being able to buy all kinds of stuff online without pulling out my credit card every time. I still earn the rewards points from my credit card by paying through PayPal which makes it even better. I've never run into any issues when using it for online purchases and Honestly I'll often skip a deal altogether if PayPal isn't offered as a payment option.
Cons
Their website can feel a bit confusing to navigate at times. It would definitely be better if the interface were more user-friendly.

“used by everyone”
Pros
After using PayPal for the past year, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who needs to send or receive money or shop online. One clear advantage it has over services like Venmo or Cash App is how widely used it is. Because so many people already have it, PayPal feels like one of the most convenient and accessible money transfer platforms out there. On top of that its popularity says a lot since apps do not reach that level unless they consistently work well for users.
Cons
On the downside, PayPal transactions can lead to fairly high financial costs. Besides the internal commission, there is also a fee tied to the amount being sent so using PayPal is not the most affordable option for small businesses. It also becomes difficult when you have to convince new users, customers and suppliers to adopt a payment platform with such high charges. And while the dispute system is very secure, we have had cases where it took hours, days or even months for them to review all the necessary evidence and eventually refund our money after scams or fraud which makes the whole process quite inconvenient.

“protected freelancer payments”
Pros
Working as a freelancer, I'm able to get paid by clients and other people from different countries without much hassle. The details you add to PayPal feel well protected and private which gives me confidence when using it. I also appreciate that every processed transaction comes with an email update letting me know whether it went through successfully or not and the platform is simple to navigate.
Cons
One frustrating part is that funds can sometimes be held for up to 180 days without any clear or valid reason. On top of that some transactions take quite a while before they finally reach the receiver.

“Great mobile transfers”
Pros
PayPal's mobile payment features have been fantastic and the app is very simple to use. It's especially helpful for people who can't always get transportation to go pick up what they need so it really works out well for them. I also appreciate the security since it feels very safe to use and I really like the policy behind it.
Cons
Honestly there's very little to complain about with PayPal. The only thing I can think of is that it could maybe use some kind of wallpaper option.

“Worthwhile fees”
Pros
Being able to handle different kinds of online transactions so simply is a big plus and the transaction fees feel worth it especially for people who work with multiple currencies or are constantly traveling from one country to another.
Cons
A downside is how often dishonest people try to take advantage of the platform through fake profiles and scams. There also doesn't seem to be enough monitoring when it comes to identifying and stopping fraudulent accounts.

“simple interface”
Pros
PayPal is recognized almost everywhere which makes it a convenient option to use. The interface is simple so handling payments doesn't take much effort.
Cons
Compared with other services I've tried, PayPal tends to cost more. They also update or change their policies fairly often which can be frustrating to keep up with.

“Strong fraud resolution”
Pros
Paypal has a strong reputation and it has worked really well for me. On the few occasions when I ran into fraud, they stepped in, resolved it and refunded the money I lost through the platform.
Cons
Like most credit-based services, it comes with processing fees and those can be frustrating when you're dealing with smaller transactions or low-value sales.

“handy repeatable invoicing”
Pros
Using PayPal has been a good experience especially when it comes to sending invoices. The process is quick, simple to repeat and makes handling business payments very convenient.
Cons
One downside is that the fees are a lot higher than Venmo. I mostly use it for business but I also have a personal account and it feels like they try to tax that too even when the money is just friends paying me back for dinner or something.
